Hello. From Brazil. It is a video that shows the overcoming of Dimash. It is impressive to see that he performed even though he was sick and had lost his voice the day before. Even not being at 100% of his capacity, he interpreted this remarkable song beautifully. I imagine the burden of responsibility when he got the call from the woman who wrote that song and adopted the child. It would be interesting if you saw the video until the end because it appears as he sang that day in "The Singer", to compare the presentation of the Bastau concert. I believe that if I had made a complete presentation in the contest, I would have won the championship after all. In any way thanks for your detailed analysis. People who sing are so caught up in trying to figure out how Dimash does what he does. The thing is...it's more than technique or ability. Even if someone could demonstrate the prowess of Dimash ...it does not mean they can duplicate what Dimash does. He has what can not be taught. It's the singer himself. He is more than the sum of his parts. He is a Divine gift and one for the history books. Dimash's music is for those unafraid to feel or have the patience to just listen and take the journey with him. Enjoy your reaction and comments. Please take no offense at my comment. You are one of my favorite reactors. However, this song I wish you hadn't paused so much. It's a performance to experience in it's entirety. But...it's your show. I wanted to comment about what I see with so many of Dimash reactors. . People are astounded so it's understandable. Everybody tries to dissect his technique in the attempt to understand what sets Dimash so apart. They seldom take into account the man behind the voice. If Dimash had anybody else's voice would have still become great because of what he does with it and how he attacks his training and uses his innate musical instincts, passion and drive. But more importantly...his character. Dimash is a pioneer. He's a path maker. He has a calling that comes from a deeper place. And he trusts it. His heart is full of love....not ego. He will be remembered as one of the greats in music of all time.

This performance gets me every time. I usually end up shading some tears. His takes his mix up to C6, that's the highest I know, at least. His head voice is unreal, his entire voice is unreal. What's more impressive than his range is the way he controls it, those transitions, the different colours, techniques, genres. Then there's his body language, the emotion, and his personality. And he's got the looks too. And you still have new things to hear from him. Also, he's young and he keeps improving. I don't think I'll ever love an artist this much. He raised the bar. May I suggest you go back and listen to the I am Singer version to just see how Dimash adjusted his version of the song while sick and a with a soar throat....it makes you admire that even sick- Dimash gives 110 percent. This is one of my favorites that makes me cry every time (for THREE years! )
This version gets me every time. Without fail. Occasionally I get through 98% of the song with dry eyes, but the cry at then end breaks my heart. Technically amazing as this song is, the emotion that Dimash puts into this performance takes it to another level. I’m not an emotional guys, but Dimash’s voice goes straight to my heart and squeezes emotions out of it. If you didn’t know that he was sick in the singer performance you would never guess, but when compared to Bastau it’s obvious.
TRUTH: No one listening to Dimash EVER was mad when a reactor said, "I gotta listen to that again".....:D. I love it when Dimash lets out that last breath and smiles at the audience....it's like he's so happy that we love the present he just gave us, cause he so loved making it :)

I am so pleased that you combined Gloria Wu's backstory with Dimash's Bastau version of Daybreak. This let you get the full impact of how he felt this song as he performed it. His Singer version was very good but because of the circumstances surrounding his performance he wasn't able to give what he knew he was capable of giving. When I hear and see this recording, I feel great humility and gratitude - I have goose bumps and tears, and it becomes more and more clear what a gift it is to be allowed to experience this - it is total devotion and a pure heart that makes this possible, this deep touch. I have been a studied singer and singing teacher for many years - but with Dimash I quickly stopped trying to explain it with vocal technique. More important for me the picture that the singer draws in my mind with his/her singing (with dynamics and technics) and stage performance. Dimash is a master of that. Loved your thoughts and reaction. I can't imagine doing a song of any kind with the bad throat he had that night. I saw in an interview he said Allah gave him his voice for that one song that day and the voice was gone again when he finished. What a dedicated performer!
That guy with a braid is Alay, his “music partner” as they are called in this show. Music partners were assigned to every performer, they were with the singers and presented them before the performance. You can see sometimes that they sit behind ‘their’ singers. Alay introduced himself in the first episode as a music producer. He is a Chinese Kasakh, so he speaks both languages fluently. He also translated for Dimash during the show.

Dimash had his first big solo concert called bastau (the beginning) only 2 months later. In September 2017 he sang a song he composed with 17 years. "Unforgettable day" GAKKU version. Shortly after this A famous Russian composer (Igor Krutoy) wrote songs for him no one will be able to sing ever. He loves Dimash like a son and you will see this composer playing the piano, when Dimash sings one of his songs. One of this songs is called "Olimpico" known as ogni pietra as well. In perfect Italian and maybe the most impressive song he ever sung. If you ever react to this song please react to the very best version of it. You can find it only in Igor Krutoys Channel. If Dimash had anybody else's voice would have still become great because of what he does with it and how he attacks his training and uses his innate musical instincts, passion and drive. This performance gets me every time. I usually end up shading some tears. His takes his mix up to C6, that's the highest I know, at least. His head voice is unreal, his entire voice is unreal. What's more impressive than his range is the way he controls it, those transitions, the different colours, techniques, genres. Then there's his body language, the emotion, and his personality. And he's got the looks too. And you still have new things to hear from him. Also, he's young and he keeps improving. I don't think I'll ever love an artist this much. He raised the bar. He's the whole package indeed.

May I suggest you go back and listen to the I am Singer version to just see how Dimash adjusted his version of the song while sick and a with a soar throat....it makes you admire that even sick- Dimash gives 110 percent. This is one of my favorites that makes me cry every time (for THREE years! )

This version gets me every time. Without fail. Occasionally I get through 98% of the song with dry eyes, but the cry at then end breaks my heart. Technically amazing as this song is, the emotion that Dimash puts into this performance takes it to another level. I’m not an emotional guys, but Dimash’s voice goes straight to my heart and squeezes emotions out of it.
If you didn’t know that he was sick in the singer performance you would never guess, but when compared to Bastau it’s obvious.
I was going to suggest him to watch The Singer version also, Dimash did great even though he was not feeling well, he's simply amazing

Yes, Dimash is the best singer in the world. When I hear and see this recording, I feel great humility and gratitude - I have goose bumps and tears, and it becomes more and more clear what a gift it is to be allowed to experience this - it is total devotion and a pure heart that makes this possible, this deep touch. I have been a studied singer and singing teacher for many years - but with Dimash I quickly stopped trying to explain it with vocal technique. This is a pure mixture of talent, great diligence and hard work, deep understanding, true artistry and grace - a blessing.

But you should also watch the original Singer performance to see how he did with his recovered voice and how well he did not follow the doctor his advice of not singing high notes. More important for me the picture that the singer draws in my mind with his/her singing (with dynamics and technics) and stage performance. Dimash is a master of that. Music partners were assigned to every performer, they were with the singers and presented them before the performance. You can see sometimes that they sit behind ‘their’ singers. Alay introduced himself in the first episode as a music producer. He is a Chinese Kasakh, so he speaks both languages fluently. He also translated for Dimash during the show.

If someone told me 3 years ago that I would be listening to Kazaq folk, Chinese lirics, I would say people are crazy. Dimash has changed my life in so many ways... never thought to be possible to feel so much peace and beauty. I am a full Dear. I listen to Dimash everyday, many times and never get tired. Can't wait for you to reacting to his "diva dance" bastau performance and in the future the Dimash from today. The "I am singer" contest was from January-April 2017. Dimash had his first big solo concert called bastau (the beginning) only 2 months later.
In September 2017 he sang a song he composed with 17 years. "Unforgettable day" GAKKU version. He hit his most famous note there.
Till 2018 he was mostly in China and made amazing stuff. Like "Screaming Idol Hits" with a huge surprise for you. I hope you will not get spoiled.
On September 2018 he sang "sinful passion" in sochi. He used a technique no reactor or vocal coach I've seen knew. This song is the second most recommended song for reactions.
Shortly after this A famous Russian composer (Igor Krutoy) wrote songs for him no one will be able to sing ever. He loves Dimash like a son and you will see this composer playing the piano, when Dimash sings one of his songs.
