@@roanyponyfarm aww ty for sharing your story and it is a risk and challenge in finding companions for your companions BUT i personally have had the best fortune with donkeys both mini and regular size donkeys that make the world's best companions for impossible pet situations such as yours so if it is not too late, maybe consider getting a mini donkey some day :)
Awww! Thank you so much! I’m glad you have good experiences with mini horses too. 🩷🩷🩷 When I had big horses, all I ever heard were they are terrors. While they do have personalities bigger than their bodies, they are horses like any other. Thanks again!
I love that! He sure thought he was a pony. He has gone to live with my mom’s goats and we wondered if he would be an outcast, but he fit right in and knew how to goat right away. I miss that stinky pony 😆
We actually have my two ponies (Shetland and Welsh) in our yard too. It's a lot of work but also great, because you always have an eye on them and even on busy days you get to spend some time with them during feeding and clean-up time. But we live in Germany and our biggest problem mostly is muddy ground thanks to a lot of rain.
I’m so glad you commented! I often feel like a weirdo for doing what I do, but the ponies bring me so much joy and I think they have happy lives too. I won’t lie though, I’m ready to move to our new place that is bigger!
I so get this.I had a terrible horsey accident and while I can ride, I can't do it well and have no confidence. I've loved Princess for a while and just stumbled on this. My yard is way way too little and my county won't allow it. As a widow, I don't have the money for anything but I would love to have this kind of set up.Working with minis is just as hard as big horses! Still need trims, daily work, pasture management and of course manure but if I could I would because despite them being horses they are manageable for me! I would love to learn to drive! And I miss the smell of tack, So following!!
Hello fellow broken friend! Thank you for the nice comment! I used to be embarrassed that I “downgraded” to only having mini horses, but the joy they bring me overtook that pretty quickly. I hope you get to a place where you can get horses back into your life, either full size or fun size!
@@roanyponyfarm lovely to think about but sadly unlikely. Still, stranger things have happened! I have dogs cats fish but sadly not one mini horse. Your babies have a wonderful mom and I’m so glad you decided to share your life with them for sad horse girls like me! It brightens my non horsey day!! I love all your tack too. Nothing like the smell of tack (or who am I kidding) anything horsey! Once as a little Girl Scout I was able to pet a horse and didn’t wash my hand for the entire camping trip! Later on I realized it wasn’t so much “horse smell” but fly spray!! lol!
Thank you so much!! Getting that trailer road worthy almost killed us, it was a literal rust bucket. It’s still needs constant maintenance too because steel horse trailer and Florida don’t mix 😢
So many people probably got bored with that long clip of me hosing Valentine, but I loved that Pippa gave her a reassuring boop! I’m glad you noticed 😊
I saw 2 small horses when I went to Aw Shucks Farm on a school trip. When I had a selfie with them one at a time the first one didn’t look at the camera as much and the other one licked me on my shoulder.😂
Thank you! We are hoping to be moved by fall. Halloween maybe? We are having some stuff done professionally but doing a lot ourselves to save money. So there might be some learning curves that slow it down, but I hope not! 😅
It definitely varies based on where you live! If your property is zoned for having horses/livestock, I think the general rule is 2 mini horses per acre. But be careful if you have lush grass, mini horses can founder or develop laminitis is given unrestricted access to grass. Most mini horses need to be kept on a dry lot (no grass) with limited turn out on grass. 🩷🩷🩷
Those are some of the prettiest ponies I have ever seen .
Thank you so much!! That really made my day!

I absolutely love your story. Mini horses have stood in the gap for me many times as well. They are amazing little guys! I adore your channel!! 💗💗

Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to see the new baby. So jealous😊
Oh my god your tackroom looks like a Barbie horse stable LOL it is so freaking cute
Aww!! Thank you. I love “cute” things! My tack rooms have always been dusty and spider-webby before, so I love that this one stays clean. 😁
I thought Mr Sparkle WAS a pony first up! 😂
I thought what a clever pony getting up there in the shade lol

You're so lucky to live in a place like that! Thank you for this video. I love all yours horses ❤❤
Thank you so much!! My current set-up is not ideal, but I really missed horses. They are good for my mental health. 🩷🩷🩷

Awesome video! Have you ever thought about cart training the ponies?
Thank you! I had a cart that was waiting for Pippa to be old enough to pull, but I had to sell it to buy Blackberry 😭 Maybe I will find another one!
That's so amazing! The tack is so cute!!
Thank you! It became an obsession for a while. 😂
❤️Pippa is gorgeous, LOVE Mr Sparkles!!!!!
