You're just like me. I'm getting my mini next week. I had scoliosis surgery on my back and now I need another surgery. I also have osteoporosis extremely bad. So mini horses, here I come
Wait till you start collecting harnesses.🤣🤣. It starts with cute halters and such but once they get big enough to drive the world is your oyster. I recommend barry hook if you want to teach your horses yourself, or to have your horses trained.
Awww!! You're a brave young lady. I'm sorry you can no longer ride. But you still have your little mini's to take care of. I've thought about doing the same thing. I don't have anyplace to keep a large horse and I've seriously thought about getting a couple of mini's.
I love what you did, its beautiful!! You gave me great ideas to build my barn for my miniature horses. I also had a regular size horse and was thrown off a few months ago I had to undergo major surgery on my leg had rode and plates put in and I no longer want to ride a horse its just too much risk, so now I'm wanting to get into miniature horses and your video and story helped me a lot. Thank you
Sorry to hear, about your spine! I know how it feels. I have small scoliosis, but I decided to only ride for fun and would love to do a 2 day lease per week this upcoming June! I feel so bad for you, you know they have therapeutic places you could absolutely try out one day!! Love your setup and the fact that the horses can roam free in the garden. That's the best way to spend time with your horses. I plan on having a few one day later like 2 and a mini horse. So I'll have a garden near by and let the mini horse be out their near me. O I think I should definitely consider getting a donkey as well. :)
Etsy has beautiful crystal headstalls, custom for mini;s. I love your barn! I hate the dust from pine but can't find a better solution in the states for bedding.
Hi just found your channel and loving watching you and your American min horses, I would love to get one of my own one day. And keep it in my back garden. Everytime I look at my garden I'm like it just needs a minute horse in it.
@@davemelrose6542 no, they love them 😊. I did everything legally and moved the horses in before even telling anyone. Took a few weeks for them to realise they’re not dogs 😂! Then they came to meet them and all was okay, as they don’t make any noise or smell
Thank you! I’m actually not sure where I bought it. If you type in mini horse solarium it should come up on google! It’s just a 6 light one instead of 12 😊
She actually was okay for quite a few months. Scotti is an unusual case and absolutely hates other horses! When I introduced Saffy she beat her up and bullied her for months on end. She still barges into her every now and then, but they now get along most of the time. I noticed Scotti would just stand under a tree waiting for me to come back out during the day when she was on her own. There just wasn’t enough enrichment for her without another horse to play with!
Biscotti will make 33”, she’s currently about 29”. Sapphire I’m actually not 100% sure, as she was a bit of rescue case, but definitely under 34”. She’s a little smaller than Scotti currently, so may mature a little smaller 😊
I was 4yrs old. I went to a primary school that was based on a farm, so one if the after school activities was horse riding! I fell in love with the shetlands there and moved to a proper riding school soon after 😊
Too much for mini stables 😂! I upgraded to make sure they wore the test of time and I could break them down and move them to any new properties in the future. I believe this style starts at £3000 (just the main block, not with the lean-to add on) 😊
I did! I showjumped for many years. I actually still own my ridden horse, he’s just based with a professional showjumper, as I can’t ride anymore. I’ll film a video one day talking about it all 😊!
Not big at all. Our entire property is on 1/3 of an acre. If I measure the paddock itself on maps it’s approx 0.05 acres. We have another field for grazing though that I rent that makes up for the smaller space we have at home 😊
Unfortunately I do not get equine therapy as much as I would like to in my Alberta city but it is only four months in 2023 so there is a lot of time for me to make plans to get a ride to an equine therapy farm so that I can have hands on equine therapy for an hour or two
Mine has a mix of everything in it therefore we call it a tackroom 😊! We didn’t need another separate room for just feed when I only have two small horses haha
Cute
Nice little barn for the horses. Shows she loves her animals. Clean & maintained. As the padlock too.
I love your two stall mini horse barn and covered shelter area as well as your farm, really beautiful.
It's so cute, clean, & everything is in its own perfect place.

Looks so lovely! You give me lots of inspiration on my new barn design! Thanks from South Korea!
I have barn envy. Very well looked after girls.
Best of luck to you with your health. What lucky little ponies to have such a nice home.

I can’t wait to drive them haha! I drove cobs when I was a kid, so very excited to get Scotti in harness. Few years to go though 🙈. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing, sorry to hear about your back. Very detailed and informative videos.
Your tack room is beautiful as well
It’s my favourite part 😍
Sweet... what a beautiful set up with a beautiful owner. Have fun lovely girl 🤗
What a delightful stable ! You all did a marvelous job creating it!
And your tiny horses are beautiful! A very good choice!

Yes! I got my western show jacket from Etsy too, as we don’t have western style clothes in the UK 😊. Thanks for watching!
I love your videos! It helps me stay on track on what I want to achieve. You are inspiring!

Can I ask did you have any problems from your neighbours for keeping them in your back garden?

Nice barn! 👍✌️
My sister has scoliosis and had gotten surgery. She's much better now, though not perfect. Good luck with your health as well. ✌️

Your two mini horses are really beautiful. What do you do with your mini horses?
Beautiful 12×26 two stall mini horse barn with tack room
Im getting a mini horse soon and I wanted to get an idea for a barn! Thank you so much!❤🐴
Same!
Hi Elise, can you please tell me approx. how much a barn like yours would cost? I love it and I would like to build the same concept. Thank you
Really lovely set up you have Elise. May I ask where the mini solarium came from?

Hello! I was just wondering what type of fence you used to fence In your area and how much you have fenced in
It’s just half round wooden fencing. It was custom made on site by our fencer. I’m honestly not sure how big the paddock is, sorry 😅
@@eliseblair140 ha ok thx
This is so amazing and I love your channel ❤️ xx
Thank you ❤️
I love your videos so much i just found them today ❤ i subscribed ur ponys are so cute 🤩😍❤
Thank you ❤️
@@eliseblair140 your very welcome im addicted to your videos 💜
Very nice
I am wondering what size stable that it? It is perfect!
Each stable is 8x8. Its a perfect size for minis!
Around how much money would you think it would be to do something like this?
I don’t know the full amount, but the concrete was a beast price wise 🥴
@@eliseblair140 Thank you!
Where did you get the horseshoe handles from?
They’re made by Stubbs online!
❤️❤️❤️
love this so much! was scotti fine living by herself before saffy arrived? I'm looking into getting a American miniature horse 🐴❤️
She actually was okay for quite a few months. Scotti is an unusual case and absolutely hates other horses! When I introduced Saffy she beat her up and bullied her for months on end. Elise Blair 😊 thanks I love this channel
Thank you!
What is the name of the bedding you use? I’m sorry I couldn’t understand
Aubiose 😊
Hi, I’ve watched your videos for years. I was wondering do you still have your back problem?
Aww thank you so much! Yes, very much so. I haven’t spoken about it much on here yet though. I’ll be covering that topic very soon 😊
how old were you when you started riding??
I was 4yrs old. I went to a primary school that was based on a farm, so one if the after school activities was horse riding! I fell in love with the shetlands there and moved to a proper riding school soon after 😊
i love your video
😍
Where did you get your hose holder
Online from America. I don’t remember where specifically, but if you search “horse hose holder” on google lots of options come up!
Ok thanks
I LOVE your videos!!!!!
@@tenleyrose8285 I think the exact one's by Houzz
Who else loves horses. I’m getting my own I’m 2 months 🥺
How manny acres is this built on?
Less than 1/3rd of an acre. I have a 2 acre field nearby that they graze on 😊
@@eliseblair140 any videos of your grazing field? It all looks amazing
Not yet, I’m in the process of filming for it 🦄
How much where the stables

When she said tackroom I thought of saddles and then I thought that she can't ride them
Haha definitely not! We just call any storage room for horses a “tackroom” in the UK if it has anything more than just feed/hay in it 😊
