Jack Brewster depends i grew mines out from a undercut. But for the most part beating the awkward stages is a pain in the ass. Notice i said stages you gotta get through all of them. Having the top knot helped me avoid the mullet look if you just let your hair grow out. And kept my hair out my face. Growing a topknot and then transitioning to a full on long hairstyle helps with avoiding some of the awkward stages but problem is it'll take more time and it'll be uneven help causing a usually unwanted result. That's why i mentioned going to a salon. Most likely barbers aren't good with long hair at all. I had a friend growing his hair out just wanted to snip any spilt ends and they cut 2 inches off his hair. So basically 4 months of growth. I had the topknot before i chose to grow it out. So i had like 9 inches of top length to start with. At it's longest the top was 21 inches and the sides 12.5 inches. I even it out to 11 inches.

As a girl, I solved most of my hair growing problems braiding the sides for both pixies and undercut. The first months the longer hair can cover the sides, when it's long enough to create volume, it's also long enough to be braided. The worst part of the whole process is the mullet.

Not all people's hair grows at that rate. I shaved the side of my head about a month ago, and I've only had like 2mm of growth.
I also bleached my roots on the rest of my head. They have only got 2mm of natural growth after a whole month.
(Yes I take supplements to aid in hair growth)

i had the undercut like 2 years ago but i changed it because like you said everyone has it now. Its still a cool haircut but for me i like to keep it different, anyway great video these are some great options for someone with an undercut that wants to change it up.

Well, i never had undercut, but i have a tapered haircut and my family thinks that its a undercut(so this video is actually a blessing).
Hector Ramos yeah I feel you man. You don't wanna look like everyone else. But I'm keeping my undercut cus it's functional and so easy to style. Will be experimenting with other things when I'm feeling more adventurous
yeah you can't go wrong with the undercut and true it is a functional hairstyle thats the reason i kept it for 2 years.
