      Routes with “K” or “M”are MTR connected routes, they can bring you to an MTR station. eg. 64K/58M
      Routes with a “P” or “S” are usually Peek Hour routes or special routes, they usually service during weekdays and at peek hours only. eg. 111P/40S
      Routes with “R” are either Residential routes or Recreational routes, eg. 88R and 96R

    Helllo. I'll visit in HongKong next month. Could you please tell me. Are there any 3days unlimited tourist pass card?

    • @Hipfig
      @Hipfig  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As far we know (before COVID), there were no unlimited tourist pass or card in Hong Kong. Octopus Card use to be only Card option in HK...believe it is same after COVID as well. Happy Travels!

    just a reminder, octopus card is not able to pay fare for two or more people. so one person, one octopus card. even the child should get one child octopus card. Public buses have no change on fare, no receipt, no ticket, no credit card system, no bargaining on fare, no travel guide service, one flat rate, just tap and go find your own seat. there is sound announcement and display on every single stop. ask any other passenger or young people who probably speaks english to guide you or simply google map DO IT YOURSELF. these are the most common question ever seen from tourists especially those from past century. To complaint, please call the customer service hotline, cctv on the bus everywhere avoid blaming and annoying the bus driver which may violate hk law cap 230 public bus ordinance. for safety reason, bus driver will probably stop driving if he encounter trouble from passengers and waiting for the hk police force to handle which could arrive in few minutes upon reported. please understand this is pubic bus service, which is not only serving one person who think itself as a king, though some preceive hk is a third world that the fare they paid may be pretty much have a king service in their own country. there are hundred passengers on a double deck bus, it is not like a tuk-tuk in Pattaya beach. Buses are only allowed to stop on the legit legal bus stops position. Press the red bell button ASAP if you have to get off the next stop, bus wont stop if no one press it. ASAP real means ASAP!!!, some stops are pretty close in seconds if the bus lucky with the light speed on 50kmh. No need to shout out for stop like the third world buses, thats embarrassing, just press the button and see the lights on. If you miss the stop, bus driver has no responsibility to your own mistake or take any risk on violating the law and losing the job to let you off on the wrong position. hk is a law place!! again, dont even try to annoy the driver, hundred passengers are on the bus and they dont want wasting time on police investigation for someone arguing for this kind of sheet everyday, and taking video for funny compilation youtube channel. hk transport is efficient and cheap, no need to worry much if you are in urban down town. lying down you luggage avoid rolling on the bus. thats all feeling i have to say for particular small portion of passengers, i know most of the passengers are pretty nice. thank you in cantonese accent!! you knew what it sounds like. sorry my poor english. have a nice travel.

    Is it possible to load and pay the octopus card with an Visa or Mastercard?

    • @Hipfig
      @Hipfig  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not for one time reloads.
      However, You might sign up for automatic reload with Visa or MasterCard.
      When the stored value becomes low below certain amount it will automatically reload, but not sure if a non HK credit cards are accepted. Also need to register and get approval for this from Credit card bank beforehand.
      Using auto reload is dangerous if you lose the Octopus card and it takes some time until you report lost Octopus Card. Octopus is essentially cash in anyone's hand. You will be liable for all transactions on Octopus card until you report lost card.
      Hope this info is helpful! Happy Travels!

    Most MTR stations have RESTROOMS. ALL lines can carry luggages as long as you can pass the gates. Or how tourists interchange lines from Airport Express?? Please don't cause viewers misinterpret. And your video is very old for nowadays. Please go to Hong Kong again to update the information given in the video.
