    Glad you enjoyed it - this is my home trail. So great to have a trail like this so close to the city. Next time you are in the area you should try Harris Lake Park - it is a county park as well and designed by the same people as Lake Crabtree. IMO, it's a little bit better design and easy to progress through the trails without getting lost and having to question yourself at each fork in the trail like what happens at Crabtree from time to time.

      Thanks man! Yeah I was definitely a bit lost at times here😂I'll add that to my list thanks for the suggestion!

      @@splooshmtb - There are much better (IMO) trails in the area if you're interested. San Lee, New Light, 286, etc. Hit me up next time you're here and I'll be glad to show all of the above and then some.

      @@paleh0rse thanks man! I'll keep that in mind, I know a lot of locals have suggested San Lee since I can't turn down jumps, that'll be next on the list when I'm down south!

      @@splooshmtb - The San Lee gravity park is great, but make sure you hit the full San Lee singletrack loop, as well. It's worth the trip IMO.
      286 (and "other stuff") is directly next to Crabtree.
      New Light is 20 minutes north of Crabtree next to Falls Lake. There are limited riding days there, so get with me for the schedule. Glad to help!

    Sploosh, you've got some stones for riding all that blind. Impressive, I enjoyed it. Keep up the good work. You just did a few too many jump laps at LFF, pressed your luck. Happens. Tough for me to watch a guy crash, even a stranger. I hate crash vids. Just so you know about LFF, I overheard a guy say a few days ago in the bike shop- he broke 3 ribs. I've done 40 rides at LFF this season and not hit the jump yet.

    • @splooshmtb
      @splooshmtb  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Eli! Blind riding adds another level of fun to MTB for sure, but these trails were very tame. Yeah small mistakes on jumps that big = painful consequences. I've had my share of crashes and it's always on stuff they I get too comfortable on haha.

      They tuned the black line so you don’t have to hit the brakes, just make sure to watch out for the second big table it can buck you hard

    Awesome to see you back on the bike so soon. Nice that they give you options for different rider levels. More parks like this are being developed with pumptracks, skills sections and jumplines, and I LOVE IT! Where was this when I was growing up!!! Love hearing the stoke as you ride Zane, nice edit.

    • @splooshmtb
      @splooshmtb  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Sage! Seriously even at my age, growing up this stuff wasn't advocated for at all so we just rode bmx through the streets😂. Thanks for tuning in as always my man!

    • @tombreach
      @tombreach 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just remember when you talk about all of this development of machine built trails, pump tracks and jumps. It's not environmentally friendly in the least. There is a reason biking isn't welcome in nature parks. We bring bulldozers and diesel fuel. Balance is key. Do we really want to take the "mountain" out of biking and the "nature" out of natural surface trails?

    What a place! This place seems to have plenty of features to test riders. FairPlay for getting through those skinnies. I would consider myself to have good balance, but I wouldn’t consider giving those a go! 🤘

    • @splooshmtb
      @splooshmtb  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you man! Honestly skinnies are my biggest weakness, I had to give that crooked one 3 tries haha. Where I ride in MD, there's barely any of them! But yes, I find that NC trails, even if they're just casual parks like this, have SO much MTB integration in them with features, berms, jumps, etc!

      @@splooshmtb honestly I went to berm park and it kinda isn’t worth it. It’s a steep climb for about 2 miles, and the trails are super short and don’t last that long. It would be like climbing Bryce without the lift and hitting screwdriver. If you have endurance it is fun but for dh bros like me we can’t climb without an ebike which we did at kanuga.
