@mrupholsteryman these are better in my opinion, but not in every aspect. Rivers edge has better small/ medium jumps and blue lines. When it comes to BIG black line jumps, windy ridge takes the cake.

@splooshmtb thanks for the quick response! I am pretty busy...but was at River's Edge once a couple years ago and had a blast! The uphill at the end of every line was a killer. Windy Ridge looked a bit rocky in places. As far as gravely terrain. Gotta get some time to check the place out. Thanks for sharing!

@mrupholsteryman no problem dude, it's an amazing place for jump progression but yeah it's got some shaley rock terrain to hold up to weather a bit more

@joetreleaven5462 it is pricey for a first bike but it's a proper investment into MTB. Any bike at this price range means you won't have up upgrade components as you grow in the sport. I wouldn't buy this unless you're ready to invest into the sport.

@brando1937 thanks dude! While I agree and appreciate the sound of roots and rocks a lot, I more so like to capture the energy of these trips when I edit my videos. There will be videos with much less/ toned down music, but I really creating more entertainment value rather than just riding footage!

@stormpegasisfan thanks dude! The real cheat code here is light. More light coming in will allow gopro to do its stability way better. Since we're using NDs we're already limiting some light so only using these in well lit conditions is the key. The other thing is your mount, here i used a chesty but the chin mount with these settings makes your head a natural gimbal and gives you crazy smooth footage.

@Couffee honestly it's pretty chill, it's big but I think the more tricky part is the it's also really fast.

@Ooahhh yeah that's on me for most of day 1 I had the gopro maybe 1° lower than it should have been. Day 2 I realized and fixed it a bit but I think in general for the chin mount I'm gonna start using Hyperview for max FOV.

@@ranalahiri5111 thank you, much appreciated! Patapsco, as a whole, is massive with over 200 miles of trail, meaning a lot of starting points! Parking anywhere in the avalon area will get you to most of these trails easily

The shed is pretty big, so it really depends what you wanna hit. If you wanna get in more of a technical pedal- park at the hamburg lot and explore around there. Wanna session boundary line/threesaws? park at the 3-saws lot. Wanna ride the steep side/DH stuff? park at the Mountaindale lot. All of which will include a lot of climbing!

@TheNewnan3 nah dude a decent downhill/ Enduro casing tire does mostly fine! Inserts are great but I'll skip the extra weight

@TheNewnan3 i wouldn't recommend it unless you need to use the shop services, it can fill up kind of quick. There's plenty of parking in an around the park.

@@splooshmtb is Gambrill still open to bikes? We went from no mountain bikes ever to “here’s a set of keys to the tool shed, help yourself to the chain saws, shovels, etc.”.

@gazmo147 yep so I went factory recommendations as well, definitely felt stiffer for me as well. Depending on your riding you can probably drop some pressure.
