Blue Mountain BROKE our Bikes, but Not our Spirit
I prefer the bump pop. Takes the least amount of energy. That’s really the key right? Just depends on the amount of energy you have and size and position of the log. Sometimes I use the tried and true method of get off and lift it over. Lol.
@@dadventuretv2538 that's absolutely the key, but sometimes I just wanna see how high I can just straight up clear something😂🤘🏽
@ 100 with you. I just need to make sure it’s early in the ride. Lol.
For that size I would try a bunny hop over tag my front wheel and go over the bars breaking my collarbone
@@Ben_Kasper a man of culture i see🤝🏽😂
@ I keep my expectations very low 🤣
I prefer to lock my front fork out and smash it directly into the log and then when it starts to roll up over the log I yank straight up with my clipless pedals to get over the log 😜
@FoCoFlowShow LOL that's certainly a technique alright😂
Depends on size of log and run up / out. Close quarters - tap and scoop, big ass log- tap and scoop. Good run up and exit - bunny all day.
@@njsoccerguy yessir i dig it🤘🏽
im not inerested in a stumpy but this might be the most beautiful colourway i have seen for years

Nice demo video! I currently run a 2022 SJ alloy and when this new SJ 15 came out I was like I love the new look and I wanted to get it. However I recently started riding with my buddy and he has a Trek Fuel EX and he talks highly about it. Since I have a SJ I thought for my next bike I'd give Trek a try. I love that green color though on that SJ 15!
@turningoveranewleaflawncar952 thanks dude! I will say the new Trek fuel ex is a beast of a bike. A really great all-mountain bike, you can't go wrong there!
@splooshmtb maybe I'll see you up at Rocky Ridge sometime! That's my local trails! I ran into Trail Sage a couple of months ago. I've seen a couple of your videos where you were riding at Rocky Ridge.
@turningoveranewleaflawncar952 yessir I'm there a decent bit, love the riding out there! I'll have to join Sage one of these days
Do you thank 750$ is to much for a new Comp from a local bike shop im looking at one but im still not sure!
@@lancesmith6724 that's a pretty good deal! I'm assuming it's on sale (everything is on sale right now).
Great video as always! Love Snowshoe, definitely some of the best tech anywhere, and the back country trails are as good as it gets. I'd put Highland, Thunder, Killington and Mountain Creek ahead of it, mostly cause they have better flow/jump trails, which is what I like most. Snowshoe is still top 5 though, and it's different from any other park I've ever been to. The maintenance isn't great, and it could definitely use a top to bottom intermediate jump trail, but it's worth the trip and has something for everyone. And nothing better than having an Airbnb up top, we literally rode our bikes out the back door and about 20 aeconds later we're on the trails. Great spot and excellent job capturing the vibe!
@topspot4834 thanks dude! Yeah the north east is a whole different animal, i love creek but I really need to get out to the others! Haha bike-in, bike-out airbnb is unmatched!
@ 3:30 mark i'm just turning my head around mid air making sure ur still behind 😂😂😂🔥

Really love the channel. I know the guy from Slanted Ground and he's a real jerk. He talks trash on every YT riders in the area and is really phony. I'm glad you and Trail Sage keep it real and aren’t two-faced.
@GS-qe5xr hey appreciate the kind words dude. I don't know SG personally but I know he rips, all I care is that people are having fun on bikes 🤘🏽🫡.
Damn, this takes me right back to being a kid and the haphazard approach to building jumps we employed!
@jonsaunders4130 that's exactly why we had so much fun, so simple yet brings so much joy. Gotta love it!

@splooshmtb it's so cool!!
Great video and walkthrough! I won't ask about trail forks but how can a fellow shredder get an invite next season?! 😂
@gnarakowski haha thanks dude, if you ever see me out and riding say hi! Currently we're keeping this invite only to close friends.
@splooshmtb Definitely man! Appreciate the reply and I was kidding, I know you have to keep these things tight! We'll eventually get a lap in. Some of my York pals run into you from time to time and we hit all the same spots. Absolutely can't wait for park season! Love all your content keep it coming brother!
@gnarakowski thanks big dawg I'm always in and out of Rocky Ridge so definitely will see you around!

Nice trail and nice video
@jt_mtb1 thanks dude, just something quick since I was sitting on this footage for a while wait till you see tomorrow's video👀👀
Looking smooth as usual brotha. I love when trail builders include optional lines and trail side kickers! I have not been in NC yet but I think I might have to put it on the list. Great job Zane! Side note, not sure what you are using to edit but a lot of video editing software have "automatic click removal" which works pretty well. I ran into the same issue on the fat bike video and fixed it in post.
@TrailSage I'll have to look into that for my software, DaVinci! I'm not sure how much you'd like nc, the tech the is more roots there's really not many rocks, they have a ton of flow and their jumps are always really good cause of the clay packed soil.
Those trails look like such a blast 😁
They really are, Asheville does it right even on the simple stuff!
Another super fun video! And what an awesome bachelor party!! I'm going to renew my vows so i can have a mtb bachelor party!! 😂
@TheRideAbides thanks Dan! And oh man if you do, we're gonna throw a rager😂🤘🏽! This one wasn't our first choice, both berm park and kanuga were getting severe weather.
Im literally 3 seconds into the video and that first opening transition was smooth asf
@alexthemoonsloth yooo thanks Alex! just a little something something
@ i’ll keep saying this till people get sick of it, your balance in editing is 10/10 throughout ur entire videos🙌 keep up the good work!
@alexthemoonsloth that means a lot dude, really appreciate it!
What bike are you riding?
@@HarryStewart-m9e here I'm on a Specialized S Works Stumpjumper Evo!
Nice video, I love the Jerusalem Mill side of the park. When the leaves are on the ground like the day that you rode, the chunky trail really shows up. Great riding guys, I enjoy watching your videos.
@johnnywallace8123 thanks dude, Appreciate you watching! Yeah I need to explore that side more still!
@splooshmtb Thanks, it has about 5 or 6 downhills that you can appreciate, other than that it is way below your skill level.
Do you do these settings before or after the ride?
@@HarryStewart-m9e all these changes need to be made before recording the clip/ ride
Thanks for the stoke! Back in the early 90's, my buddies and I used to head out that way to camp and ride just down the road in Slatyfork. I have no idea if they're still maintaining those trails but it's worth looking into when you're in the area. The tech hits different when we were running full rigid, no droppers and cantilever brakes.
@TheVertigoCycles yooo i can't even imagine how rowdy that got on those bikes, I know some good times were had!
That bike looks beautiful!
@@SantaClarita-g3i it really does in that color!
That speckled frame is absolutely beautiful, congratulations.
@johnnywallace8123 every now and then I catch myself staring at it😂 thanks homie!
@splooshmtb I can definitely understand that.
Nice video, is this trail in Annapolis.
@@johnnywallace8123 yessir bacon ridge bike park!
Using a chin mount, with a full face helmet, would that help maintain stabilization? Using your head like a gimbal.
@FantaMann42 10000% yes that's the best way to achieve max stabilization, i do this often at bike parks and the footage is immaculate
@ thanks for the prompted reply.
If you're coming to WV to ride, you should check out Fayetteville also.
@@wvjeepguy8178 I've heard of it, adding it to the list!
Looks like SO much fun!! You guys were awesome laughing through the rain. And day 2 looked incredible! Definitely putting WV on the destination list! Are you adjusting the bike geo between bike park day and trail day?
@TheRideAbides dude it was so much fun. If you guys are down we should make it happen next year! I'm not adjusting anything anymore really, keeping it slacked out since that 40 miler that I had it steep for. I MIGHT go to neutral for the winter, haven't decided yet
@splooshmtb Yea, I haven't made any adjustments yet either! I may raise the back and see how that feels...
@@TheRideAbides I'm surprised you go low BB with all that mt penn tech riding!
@splooshmtb Yea... maybe not ideal! I think I'm high in the rear and lowest in the front. So maybe neutral in front is worth a shot!?
Do you know if you can ride these trail year round?
@alexharry1863 I'm no local here so my knowledge is pretty surface level but I'd say yes, it's all loam, rocks and roots. We rode it during an active flooding thunderstorm and left no tracks 😂
@ that’s a good point 😂
I wish people would specify what bike they're riding in these videos.
@slapnut504 check the video description boss😉 camera gear, bike, strava/ trailforks data will always be there for ya! But to answer: Specialized S-works Stumpjumper Evo
Beautiful trails! Forest full moss and ferns wow. Nice video thanks.
@toddkx2807 it's wild to see in person!
Even with the rain the ride looked like so much fun, way to keep a high vibe! The chorus of break noises with the music was clutch btw. Day two, yes please!!! Loved hearing the riders in front calling out the features and lines throughout. I need to get my butt to WV stat! Question, (assuming you were comfortable on clipless) do you think the clips would have been better, or where you happy to be on the flats in the chunk?
@TrailSage thanks Sage, truly high vibes that whole trip. I love flats and I've never had an issue in tech with bouncing off. Pretty used to it at the shed and bike parks so no complaints here, we were all on flats
@@splooshmtb Man, that is incredible. I could not imagine attempting that without my clips. Major Kudos.
@TrailSage I'd be curious to see you try it, specially now that you've got a set of flats around with the DJ 😉 you get used to pointing your feet when you need to
Dude I love your videos and I’m a Liftie in the summer at snowshoe I knew I saw you one day dude
