i went here this past weekend it was a blast. saw your video from massanuten posting it on their instagram. insanely high quality vid and underrated channel
That's awesome dude, stoked you had a blast, this park is so underrated! And thank you man, really appreciate that🤙🏽stick around plenty more to come!
Great video Zane! OMG I remember how slow those lifts were, my buddy literality out rode us climbing on his bike, lol. Having said that, it looks like they have done a lot to improve the trails since I was there 5 years ago. You and your boys were killing it! Great job on World Cup, that was one of my favorites when I was there.
Thanks Sage! That's some half decent tech for being 2.5 hours away! Yeah that upper lift is so fast it makes up for the lower lift by a lot lol.
great work with the vod 👍
@@ihd4l344 thanks boss🤘🏽
Great video! this is my local park and love to see people like you enjoying it!
That's awesome dude, what a sick local park, I'm sure you locals have some sniper lines I missed👀👀.
Can't wait to hit this one up! So glad it's on the loam pass!
I just learned about this, this might be the move for next season!
Dude this is an amazing video! This channel has some serious potential! I'm subbing immediately.
@@swiftpaw4474 thank you so much! Genuinely means a lot :) we've got plenty of good stuff coming up this year
Awesome video. Good editing and music selection!!
@@damuthtrane9005 thank you! Really appreciate that🤙🏽
Proud to be in the 11.3 #sub'd
Haha always appreciate you, my man! Those numbers were wild to see😭😂
Just found your channel via this channel! Dig it..subbed! I gotta come check this place out...just a hop and a skip away..looks sick!
@@WanderingWheeliesMTB heck yeah thanks dude!
Another morning banger by the sploosh master himself 🙏
Ayooo thanks Alex🙏🏽🤙🏽
@@splooshmtb These videos make me want to bike, its just my knees are so bad from skateboarding and other sports. The motion of riding a bike kills me :(
@alexthemoonsloth dude! What we're doing here requires 0 pedaling. We take a ski lift up and rip down. With lots of suspension, biking is WAY lower impact than running and other sports. It's the climbing up hill that we do, often, that'll be no good for your knees :/
My brother this is amazing never been there before and the trail looks so much fun i need to make it at there soon
Jesse let me know when you go I'll try to make it, this place is awesome. Thanks man🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
@@splooshmtb that be nice are you planning to go back anytime soon?
@jt_mtb1 no plans yet but I love that place so I'm definitely going back.
sick dude
Thanks Jake🤙🏽🤙🏽
Hell yea man, missed racing there this year but hoping it’ll be mint next year, you should come out to snowshoe and race this year!
Hah that would be fun but I don't think I'm very fast and I've never been to shoe yet!
Great video. I'm going there this summer/fall. How did the lift break your fender/mudguard? I have the same nice fox fender and don't want it broken.
@JeffMTBinVA thanks dude, you're gonna have a blast! Well, since the fox ones screw into the fork lowers, those straps snapped from the weight of the bike coming down on it once the bike left the ground, not ideal, I had to fix it every single time we got off the lift so it didn't rattle. But I'm still running it and it's "fine" just damaged
That one table top about halfway down creamy is a pretty nice treat but check out Hooch at Bryce for a jump line.
@Pastamistic I love Hooch! But Creamy is about 3x longer with way more variety in jumps👀
If you stay to the left through the rock garden before the road crossing on World Cup you can carry a little more speed into the next section
I noticed that when rewatching the footage, definitely some better lines to be had all through that tech, we just did 1 run on each tech line😂
That tech looks like what I found at beech mountain, I'll have to check it out to get good at tech.
Yeah I was just watching your beech video! I love tech, and this was some decent tech. But mountain creek is still better for tech!
You guys made the MOST of those trails! We were there years ago and the trails look to be in much better shape. Surprised you like this more than Bryce... I haven't been to Bryce since they put in Hooch. Is it too big or is "Creamy" trail just that good?
Thanks Dan! Look I love Hooch, and it still has the biggest jumps and drops on a trail that I've ever seen... But with triple the elevation and probably triple the amount of jumps, Creamy was just a party train. The jumps are also all so comfortable and boostable, only like 1 or 2 that you need to scrub. All in all, really tough to say which jump line I like more.
They are also updating trails on the western slope and offer a shuttls service. I hope to get up here soon. I snowboard here in the winter.
Great vid!
@@TheShift1313 thanks dude yeah western slopes are definitely on the list this season
I hit Bryce, Cacapon, and the Watershed last week. Don’t get me wrong Bryce was awesome and I really improved my skills but I kinda wish I would have driven the extra 30min to Massanutten. Oh well guess I gotta go at some point this summer lol. Also, I’m a new subscriber so you may have already been to Cacapon - but holy crap is it awesome. Especially when the LBS has a shuttle to the top! Though I am moving to Raleigh NC in 8 weeks so I’ll be hitting all the Pisgah, Asheville, Old Fort goods this fall!
Heck yeah dude I remember you saying you had this big weekend coming up, on the last vid. Honestly I love Bryce but Mass really does 1 up it everywhere. And with triple the elevation gain! I need to get out to cacapon this year for sure.
Weirdly enough I also have a few videos from popular spots in Raleigh like Lake Crabtree!
@@splooshmtb your Raleigh vids are actually how I found the your channel! Don’t get me wrong Bryce was awesome and I made some huge progressions and hit my first real gap jumps there. But that tech gnar as Mass looks awesome.
@joelankeny6277 hah sick! I need to get out there soon and go to San Lee gravity park.
Yeah if you want real tech, mass is definitely the move, that tech was so good!
Idk if you’ve ever been to the Asheville & surrounding areas before but man, you’re gonna have a freakin blast. I went last year for the first time and literally contemplated dropping everything and moving there 😂
@@PlayGamesRideBikes went to Brevard when I VERY FIRST started getting into MTB. Hit Kanuga, and contemplated the same thing on my XC hardtail😂 heading back out there this fall!
6:29 my favorite part 🥹
@@rissabeebee Biiiiig
@@splooshmtbI meant the fawn, but Logan’s jumps were cute too I guess 😂
@@rissabeebee oh lolol I don't think that's the same time stamp😂😂 yes just waiting for mom lol
This place looks epic! Sploosh what do you normally run in terms of tire pressure? Also, I take it you are exclusively running flat pedals versus clipless, right?
This place is definitely very epic! Normally I run 26/28 front/rear. This is my first time on specialized tires versus Maxxis and so far I have no complaints at those pressures!
And yessir flats for life!
@@splooshmtb You da man, ride safe!
@@splooshmtb also, I meant to ask, what is your sound setup for your gopro? It sounds great! Media mod + lav mic? #fellowstumpyowner
@robscherer believe it or not this is just raw gopro audio with a windscreen cover. I do some post-processing cleaning of the audio but nothing fancy! Every time I tried going mic/media mod I didn't like how much unwanted sniffles it picks up😂
@@splooshmtb nice, I love the simplicity! Congrats on the new bike btw!!
I saw you guys there that day
Yoo say what's up next time!
@@splooshmtbi was like i swear i recognize you😂7:51 to the right was me and my dad
@@tyler.wilson563 hah small world, sweet dude.
How’s massanutten compare to snowshoe ?
Snowshoe is on the menu for this year. I haven't been yet but considering this park has 5 trails and snowshoe has....a lot more. I'd say SS would be better. But these 5 trails are really very fun.
@@splooshmtb right on buddy nice riding btw. I usually ride snowshoe and Windrock down in Tennessee and both are worth the trip! I may check out massanutten this summer, thanks for the vid!
i cant tell if youre just a bouncy rider or there are a lot of actual doubles
@exoticp0tato23 hah a little of both 😂 I love popping off everything but also there are a lot of doubles if you're willing to pull for em!
How does it compare to Bryce resort?
You should check out Bryce I think it’s better than this place after watching some
@ohgeebobby511 kinda depends. There's only 5 trails from the top, however, triple the elevation and the trails are built a bit better. Way more doubles, side hits, options, and REAL TECH. Personally I like this more.
