Has this bridge got any history? || Thurso main bridge|| North Coast 500 || Thurso tourism

Every day countless people walk, drive and use this bridge in Thurso. Over the years, before the North Coast 500, there was no bridge here and locals braved the waters to reach the other side but then a bridge was built then collapsed and there was a clear need for a replacement (this version) to be built.
This area of Thurso has experienced many decades, people and the changes in transport but the importance of this town remains the same.
From the Vikings to the modern electric car of the 21st century, this bridge has seen many versions of history and will likely see the future decades.

*UPDATE* since filming this video, the junction at the begining of this video (near Tesco) is now being "improved" for the pedestrians and traffic. The area is causing chaos with the temporary traffic lights that has been causing traffic to be backed up to lidl (the other side of Thurso) and angry drivers at Thurso square trying to get into the queue before other people. I have a couple of photos and hope to do a short video soon to show it!
