God, both blizzard and blur both really need to make movies out of the engines they are using it would be magnificent.
They are not using game engines for cinematics. It's exponentially harder because of the physics and lighting done manually not to mention post render compositing for artistic effects.

But i can say its extremely hard to do if you ever experienced anything with a 3D software

they lost alot more than that e.g. nearly earth and some inner colonies
they didnt lost every outer colony. In fact, they didn't know Sol was their capital system the first time they arrived. It was just the next logical step from them, so that implies many outer colonies survived the war
@@TileBitan Wasn't even a logical step. Regret found data that pointed to earths location of an important Forrunner artifact. Wanting the glory for himself, he grabbed whatever ships he could and raced over, only to find humanity well entrenched. And hell, he still smacked humanitys defenses around with just a small fleet.
HALO has some of the best cutscenes, I can watch it again and again.....and it's still interesting.

Forge's sacrifice still brings a tear to my eye , and the scene with the Spartans on tje bridge I think is one of halos perfect shows

Agreed on the Spartans I just wish they didn’t have to show the Sangheili honor guard, you know, the most BADASS Sangheili warriors under the Arbiter, as spear happy idiots without shields, skill, or ranged weapons

This is great for people who don’t know enough about strategy games to avoid getting confused by the gameplay in the walkthroughs.
Going immediately from Halo Wars 1 to 2, and seeing Cutter and Anders.
I never get tired of watching the Jerome and Isobel scene where he pulls her from the terminal takes a few steps back and jumps…the concern and then pure enjoyment you hear from her puts the biggest smile on my face and gives me goosebumps every single time!

The larger scope of Halo Wars (over the shooters) would work better for a computer animated film. The more intimate nature of the Halo shooters would work better for a live action film. IMO, of course. :-)
Hopefully, the next Halo games will show humanity back against the wall as they struggle to survive and fight rough battles. Ever since Halo 3 came to an end, it now is looking too easy for humanity to win the war now.

@@danidisu my view on Atriox destroying the Infinity Ship is a shock. In under four minutes, the Banished took down the ship and Master Chief got his ass handed to him by Atriox himself. So, right now, humanity has it's back against the wall for sure and things have changed for either the better or worse. This is going to end greatly or badly. And somewhere in it, I'm sure the Flood will be along for the ride.

Well in the books when the covanant fell, no covanant race knew how to run their societies, and they couldn't really repair their ships any more. So humanity got a lot a room to rebuild while the covenant races were trying how to grow food for themselves again

Jerome is a great spartan. He has a lot of potential in the halo universe. If mc ever dies I wouldn't mind the torch being given Jerome.
I believe Jerome, Kurt, Fred, and John were the 4 listed as the highest rated Spartan II leaders.
All four were almost equal in ability, strength, and endurance, each being a bit better in certain aspects than the others
(An example is Kurt being a better tactician and strategist, Fred being the better Jack-of-all-trades, Jerome being the better fighter of the four, and Chief having almost divine levels of Luck and a limitless will).
Though I believe on thier own, Linda has the highest rating in the living Spartan IIs, with Kelly and Chief very close to her rating. But Linda is a better Lone Wolf, while Kelly is better in a team.
Though it is generally agreed that Sam was the absolute best of the best in terms of Spartan IIs. Sadly, he is gone.
@@dualwieldroxas358 Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I remembered from The Fall of Reach, Sam was lost on the first mission they had their MJOLNIR suits due to a plasma pistol (or some sort of plasma weapon) that had breached his suit and he couldn't enter the vacuum of space.
@@shotsfired4519 yeah, MJOLNIR Mark IV i believe. They did not yet have energy shields, so while the armor defected regular plasma bolts, a fully charged bolt could rip right through.
Sam was actually badly hit, right next to his heart. Even if they somehow got him to the ship, he would die. And trying to get him out would have likely caused more casualties.
Sam did what he had to to ensure the mission succeeded and his team survived. John had to make the choice to leave him behind

Halo wars is my favorite series of halo games but I do think that the story could have been a bit more in depth but that's just my opinion but other wise that that for me it stands at the top RTS games

There are lots of videos that just show the cut-scenes, but they're disjointed side done if the story is told via gameplay. I agree with an update to the title, but I'm glad the video is exactly what it is.

One of my biggest Halo issues. Why humanity never developed something like the portable energy buckler that the Jackels carry around. Technically one of two, since we see Spartan's do insane stuff in cutscenes but during gameplay we can't do something like kill a Hunter (which is actually made up of dozens of sentient worm aliens acting as one inside of an armored carapace), and use their beam cannon or their bashing shield 🤔. But the coup de grace would have to be why humans of the UNSC never developed something like Elite style either energized or superheated knives based off of their plasma swords or even the Brute's gravity hammers and maces. And I only put that into perspective because of XCOM 2, where you can equip a character/soldier unit with melee weapons of that variety after co-opting and modifying the Alien tech. Which is pretty much what all species in Halo want to do by reverse engineering Forerunner Technology. Which is how the Hierarchs of the Covenant became so powerful along with converting Forerunner texts into religious fiction.
Why can they make interstellar space ships and Spartan armor but are still fighting with machine guns?

It begins 20 years before the events of the first Halo game. Then switches to events on the Ark that take place after Halo 5.

Anyone want Atriox to be in Halo 6? We could see John 117 and blue team, even have Infinity, Spirit of Fire, even Thel ‘Vadamee fight him, it’ll be like the promethians (aka Cortana), the covenant (whatever’s left of it), Then Atriox and maybe even the flood, it’ll be a very big game to develop unless there’s books that talk about Atriox (not how he grew his army) fighting everyone.
That will be an interesting fight. Atriox and Cutter are still fighting for the last few months, then a portal opens and allows the Infinity ship to appear beside them with Arbiter and his crea coming to help.

Wait, I thought that AI's go mental after 8/9 years, the "rampancy" thing - how come this ships AI was allowed to keep control of the ship for 28 years, is there like an in-built fix your AI machine on the ship or is this some continuity error?
If I understand it correctly, Serina, the AI, terminated herself while the crew were in cryo. The message Cutter heard after waking up from cryo was prerecorded by Serina and the Spirit of Fire did not have an AI at that time.
She was going crazy and even unintentionally got some of the crew killed a few years before the game takes place. After a Flood infection form that stowed away during the events of the first game infected one of the crew members who was woken up to do periodic maintenance made her decide she was too far gone and essentially killed herself before she'd make an even bigger mistake.
That didn't answer his question. 🤦
He's asking how Serina predicted that the Spirit of Fire and its crew would be adrift in space for 28 years. There's no way in hell an AI can foresee that far into the future, even Cortana - an AI well above Serina, I might add - can't do something like that either.
