Jul 'Mdama was so wasted as a character. He had great potential and had a cool design, however shitty writing had him killed by Locke in a minute. If they do that to Atriox I'm done with life.

The intro to this game is amazing and sad. Serenas farewell speech perfectly starts it off saying goodbye to an old friend and saying hello to a new and improved one, absolutely smashing lads.

Yeah, fighting the remaining covenant was getting a little old but if you go back and play the games the Prometheans just aren't as fun to fight as the covenant. I think it is a really good way to add another faction that is fun fight to against.

I love that they really showed us again how strong a spartan II can be. And I also love Isabelle character, she has emotions, a lot and I would expect her to wish to work with spartans after everything that happened. That scene where she says " Promise you won't leave without me" showed that after all these she doesn't want to be alone again. I hope she meets John 117

Chips Dubbo well AIs get to dress themselves really... some have costumes others choose simple human clothing others like Cortana go for a more nude look.
Some of them even choose very simple representations, such as Auntie Dot simply being a collection of lines(Halo: Reach's loading screens).

Tartarus was one of my favorite villains and boss fights from the original games, it's no surprise they'd reintroduce another badass brute for halo 6! I hope he actually has a good story and doesn't get killed in the first 10 minutes. To fight him in game would be amazing.

so we have a halo ring, the ark. master chief and arbiter together once more, Halsey is reunited with chief, the halo wars cast is now connected to the main series and the brutes are back to fuck shit up....all we need for halo 6 to be amazing is for 343 to not fuck up the writing like they did with halo 5. the set up for a great game is here...they can't fuck this up

Luckily, Brian Reed(Halo 5's lead writer) is no longer the lead writer. In the back of Halo: Fractures(in the "About the Authors" section) Brian Reed is listed as "Lead Narrative Director", rather than Lead Writer.

Well of course they will link it together, when asked if we will see Atriox and the Banished in another Halo Game (meaning 6) 343 answered with a "maybe" which means pretty much yes we will. It wouldn't surprise me if we will have 2 Stories much like Halo2 and 5, one with the Spirit of Fire (maybe we will play Douglas(i soo hope so because he and Isabel are awesome xD)) and the other follows MC and the others and at some point they join forces.

Halo 2's ending was a lot more epic with the music and other things (and it felt like you had a full campaign beforehand). It wasn't a prepared ending either, since Halo 2's development was very rocky.

elektron117 Gave you Halo 2 vibes because it was a cliffhanger. At least Halo 2's wasn't intentional and was a compromise, otherwise the game would've been cancelled due to budgeting and time constraints.
A good game should leave you satisfied at the end, not like this. This ending just raises far more questions than it answers, which is annoying.

The cutscenes have the old halo style, story, morals.. and those BLUR animations are just fantastic.

Ibrahim Malik Plus some Brute type weapons to add to the mix will be great. I've been wanting to blow some enemies away with the Bruteshot or Grifshot to all the RvB fans out there and basically feel like the Meta again.
Also they need to bring back the brute chopper. They better bring back brutes. Bring back both plasma rifle variants. Brute and elite. And i swear to god 343, have a unsc air craft vehicle at release, not later in mutiplayer available only in req packs. And since we know prometheans are gonna be back. Plz 343 add thier own set of vehicles than just phaeton and great ships, the forerunners mustve had some ground vehicles then just aircraft dont they 343? And seriously microsoft remove req packs, no more reqs, its one of the things i absolute hate about halo 5. Bring back the times where we earn armour sets through challenges basiclly giving us a proper goal rather than going through reqs for an armour piece we want or idk bring back armour customization from reach, imo halo 5 customization was lacking compared to reach where had so many options, we were able to mix and match diffrent armour pieces from shoulder pads, chassis, helmets, knee pads etc. Halo 5 its just helmet and body armour and thats it and if u could visor colour. I have hope for halo 6 but i hope reqs are taken out and we get the system we love in halo 3 or the credit system in halo reach where we can mix n match pieces
Ibrahim Malik Your talking my style man. The customizable way they had it on Halo Reach was my favorite one, especially when the armor was more real like touch to the look. The credit system and challenges to earn a good chunk of creds was nice. As far as the vehicles, if this is the last one in the story, why not bring back all of them from the UNSC, Covenant with Banished variants and more Forerunner and as you mentioned some ground versions and hell, bring back Forge World in all it's glory. For weapons, bring back the best version of each like the Halo 3 Bruteshot, the Halo 4 Binary Rifle and like the Halo 1,2 and 3 Plasma Rifle as a few examples.
Lets just hope 343 give us all this stuff and hopefully redeem halo. I have faith considering wat ive seen from halo wars 2.

all of these enemies and vehicles better be in halo 6, and if they are combined with covie remnants and swords of sanghelios they would actually make a perfect game
in all fairness I don't think the ending is that bad, but I feel it's unsatisfying. it invalidated literally everything you set out to do at the beginning of the game: reconnect with the unsc and stop the banished. in the final moments you're pooling all your resources into securing your getaway, all while fighting off endless hordes of banished. then suddenly your escape plan gets yanked away from you, the banished are still around, and the game ends, leaving you not wanting more, but a little frustrated because "that's it...?" and I think that's the main issue everyone has with halo wars 2's ending
TheDaedalus07 but the story accomplishes what it set out to do... you don't tell Shakespeare that you don't like his tragedies because they are to sad... halo wars 2 set out to reintroduce the SoF to the current time line, it did that, to introduce a new faction, it did and well enough without destroying them in the first outing. And it connected with halo 5. You the player were fighting to save the SoF from the new threat you beat them back and sent Anders out to contact the UNSC... it setup nicely for future games which is what everyone should expect from a giant space opera and epic sci-fi story that halo is known for. I agree I wanted more but we got plenty of value here for a game that might never have been made, we should celebrate that and tone done the criticisms to a more realistic level... mainly because we contradict ourselves... halo 2 is fine for cliffhangers. Then we want contained story lines, but then the story feels rushed so we don't like halo 4 because it was to condensed... and now we don't like cliffhangers. We are satisfied with halo 2s ending now because we have that closure... when we get that for halo 5 and HW2 we will come around again... that is the point of a cliffhanger to have you begging for more.
Simple. Your priorities change. The Spirit of Fire, before knowing about the danger the Banished represents to the galaxy, needed to join up with the UNSC.
After the Banished are discovered, however, they instead focus on trying to destroy them; the Halo wasn't an escape, it was meant to be sent with a message, and be a way to get more UNSC to arrive at the Ark to help defeat the Banished.

OP you're absolutely spot on. Nothing was accomplished throughout the game. Nothing except killing a covenant carrier and creating a new halo array. That's it.
Anders was transported with Installation 04c to Threshold so that she would be relatively close to Reach so that she can use Reach's COMs relay. Boy, is she in for a surprise when she gets there.
Reach has been repopulated since the end of the human-covenant war. Her plan is still possible.
Wasn't that lush shot of Reach at the end of Halo: Reach taken during the 2580s? I have a feeling that at the time of Halo Wars 2, there is still a lot to be done to make Reach habitable. Either way, she's going to be in for a shock, because the landscape has changed.

Just finished the campaign in a 12 hour marathon. Besides some cringy Isabel moments and the cliff hanger, I'd say this is story was AMAZING
i have watch this like 30 million times and i never get tired. This thing is amazing and i hope halo 6 just get even better following this steps!

Halo Wars 2's story is definitely told more through gameplay than story, but that's fine.
Never use a cutscene if you can't justify it. Cutscenes should ALWAYS develop characters/plot or convey objectives. If a cutscene doesn't do either of those things, it's a waste. (Halo 5 is an example of that. Too many cutscenes just showing the characters arriving at a location.)
Halo Wars 2 makes up for this discrepancy with a lot of dialogue during loading screens, and in gameplay, and with tons of game-rendered vignettes with dedicated animations.
+Scorch The first Halo Wars definitely did NOT have an hour's worth of cinematics in it. You must be basing that off of that one TH-cam video that added a ton of gameplay scenes plus a trailer and the game's credits.

I suppose now the questions are: Is this the same Halo ring we saw Cortana take control of in the Legendary End Cutscene of Halo 5: Guardians? And, is Spartan 092 & Isabel the beginning of a new Spartan - A.I. power team that will take the place of the Master Chief & Cortana in future Halo titles?

343 Industries confirmed that there would be NO Flood in the Game.
All of the Flood was killed and Serina terminated herself in the Comic Book, Halo Tales From Slipspace.

I love how it shows that Spartans can still be taken down and that their not all that invincible. And the cool awesome fight scenes.
6:55, Spartan. with a long-ish range weapon, was no more than 20 feet away from Atriox, whose head was unarmored. They missed a perfect opportunity to cripple enemy leadership. Come on man!
uuuuuhm energy shield you forgot?
At no point in the fight scene is Atriox clearly shown to have such a shield. Moreover, his head lacks a helmet, meaning the shield, if there is one, may not cover it.
Dr. Anders: "Captain, there's something different about you I'm not sure what."

Dr Anders: "Wow it makes you look like a totally different person."
Cpt. Cutter: "I could say the same. What did you do?"
