Appreciate the great video. For some reason we cannot get live metering on our copilot app. This is consistent among my iPad and app as well as two of the A2’s iPads and apps. Everything else works fine. Assuming this is a console issue but wondering if you had any additional pearls or tips. Wing firmware and app versions are the latest/up to date. Thank you.
What version of Ipad is recommended? Im looking to buy a used Ipad just for this. Im gonna buy used, but dont want to go back too far and the app not work.
Thanks for info. We have the house guy use iPad and I control live stream from FOH. Weird I lost ability to control livestream while partner was working on the house mix with iPad. Wondering if this wa was possibly caused by interference from ipad.
Can you describe what you mean by 'lost ability to control livestream' exactly? Did the console lock up, or something like that? It's hard to say what happened without specific details. I would not blame the iPad for creating interference, though it is likely that having remote control over the console caused something in the console's firmware to experience an error.
is there ways to lock users out of certain sections of the app, or just have them download the Q one instead if all they need is controlling the busses?
You'd hope so eventually, but I haven't heard anything about it recently unfortunately. Thanks for the message, I wish I had more info to share at the moment.
If you go to the Wing Product page and then to the right hand menu called 'Product Library' and open up the Software drop-down and scroll to the bottom you will see the latest Wing Firmware and Wing Q versions. When you download them, you'll find a PDF in the package that walks through the update process step-by-step. Hopefully that helps, let me know if you're stuck anywhere specifically. Thanks
Great video as always, informative, entertaining, and well produced. I'm not that interested in the Wing tbh, but one thing I like about Behringer digital mixers, in general, is the accessibility of control. For example, I have worked with Xair, x32, and M32 and if I remember correctly, all those consoles allow you to connect up to eight or ten devices (phones or tablets) at the same time while on other consoles you can connect only two or three devices at most. And that's very useful in some situations, like when musicians on stage want to do their own in-ear monitoring, for example. The new personal monitoring section looks like an improved version of the old one and I suppose you can still connect multiple devices for that purpose. It's a cool feature even if you didn't use it most of the time. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the message, it’s great to hear you enjoy the videos. I’m pretty new to their whole app ecosystem honestly, spending most of my time on Yamaha & Soundcraft consoles in the past few years. I’m enjoying the app so far, lot of access to things you’d usually have to go back to the desk for. Looking forward to seeing what updates they come up with in the future too. Thanks again!
I'm in the market for some new digital consoles for our travelling TV studio flyrigs. I *really* want to be able to consider the Wing for this: I like how flexible it is, I like how it sounds, and I like the interface... I just wish there was a model in a 19" format so I could mount it in on a rack drawer like the LS9s we're replacing. The large-format version is just too big for us, and it's so frustrating because I like the Wing otherwise!
The Allen & Heath C1500 Titanium is a nice option if you're flying constantly, certainly in the next price bracket, but the weight might save you on airline fees over time depending on how often you're sending them out.
@@DcSoundOp Fortunately we're in the UK, so "Flypacks" generally end up on a truck for us! I've had my eye on a dLive, I was a big iLive user back in the day, but it's a huuuge price bump for features we don't really need! The SQ5 is also tempting, but I can't help but feel I'm operating through a tiny postage stamp...
When you're in the app, got to the top left drop down menu, select personal monitoring, then hit the unlock button in the top right, then you can tap on the B1 name above the faders in the center of the screen and select a different mix bus to adjust. Is that what you were looking for? Thanks for the question & for watching the video.
Hey there, I had the same question that you did regarding if it’s possible to connect multiple iPads to the Wing And work on different parts of the mix at the same time. Did you find the answer to that question?
So we now have the wing and we were able to connect an iPad as well as an iPhone and mix from those at the same time. We have two mixes, one for front of house and another one for TH-cam and both work able to be mixed at the same time using those two devices. However, we only found success and using the app called “mixing station” for iOS. The Q app didn’t work for us very well.
Go to the product page, then the (product library) menu on the right side, and then to (software) and you will see the Android version ->> www.behringer.com/product.html?modelCode=P0BV2
On my iPad Mini 4 it feels snappy enough that I didn't notice anything slowing me down. I am new to the app though & I usually don't find those types of bottlenecks until I'm confident enough with software to be moving around quickly. Give me a while to get used to it & I'll have a better sense of the actual speed. Thanks for the great question!
I hope you don’t mind if I chime in. The app is fast, responsive and easy to use. The only issue I had so far was connection dropouts. Very seldom when only one device is used with the board but quite a few if there are more tablets connected. Kind of like the devices would kick out each other from the network every now and then.

Hi, how do I get active metering on my iPad…it’s connected but no signal/levels.
Kindly help.Thanks

I just purchased this board and intrigued by it. It challenged me at first but I enjoyed the challenge. Great vid and great points
Hope you enjoy it!
Went is the Wing Compact or the wing Rack Coming out????
Best guess? Never.

Why I can not connect to Copilot on Wing???
I don't know, not a lot of details to go on here...
Great video but hurt my neck turning to left the whole time. Consider shooting straight on next time. Keep up the good work.
How many iPads can be connected and actively controlling various outputs at any one time please. Thank you
Hey there, I had the same question that you did regarding if it’s possible to connect multiple iPads to the Wing And work on different parts of the mix at the same time. Did you find the answer to that question?
Nope. Neither Behringer or any of the podcast experts have responded with a definitive answer.
@@warrengreenwood2246 ok thanks for responding. That’s concerning
In the Wing Q app it says „multiple instances of the app can be connected simultaneously“ :)
