iron man I’ve recently been using it in VGC ultra series and it’s actually incredible I use a set of wide guard icy wind knock off and return Icy wind for speed control, wide guard protects Ho-Oh one of my restricteds from Kyogre’s water spout knock off removes incineroar’s assault vest or berry making it much easier to kill and return is just there cuz he can’t learn Protect lol but overall since I’m not trying to use it for offense and only take advantage of its bulk Regigigus is one of the best support mons I’ve ever used and I hope more people discover it
The problem is even if you wait out all 5 turns of slow start if it is forced out it gets reset all over thus isn't worth the usage ever. Really I think Regigigas needs a forme changing ability that shifts its ability to something else if you wait out the full turns that way while still a gimmick there would actually be some pay off
Well the thing is that 3/4 of it's weaknesses, rock, steel, and fighting mainly focuses on physical moves which regice doesn't have a lot of defense for those

It’s not just that but many things badly affects it - weak to all Hazards ( Stealth Rocks, Spikes, Toxic Spikes etc) - No resistance expect Ice - no recovery - slow and weak. Base 100 special attack doesn’t cut it any more - Generation changes ( physical, special split, Z Moves, Mega Pokemon , Dynamax ) all badly affect it. It probably benefits from Dynamax but so does every Pokemon - and finally. It’s outclassed by Kyurem who is Faster, has a slightly better typing , and has better stats and an ability that lets it run a viable Subroost set Slow Ice Types for the most part have always been bad
Imagine how amazing Regice would’ve been in RBY. Amnesia, STAB Blizzard, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, and 200 base Special! Even if it only had base 100 Special, it would still wreck after one Amnesia.
Regigigas's and Regice's are the anime cries I recognise the most, Regice especially since I bought the Lucario and the Mystery of Mew DVD set and watched it religiously as a kid

Since Regirock's dex entries mention it can repair its body by picking up rocks and reassembling itself with them, I think all the Regis should have a recovery move where they pick up or generate some extra material to rebuild their bodies and restore health.
By far the best Regi, great utility, can be a threat offensively and defensively, and the type combination of Dragon-Steel is excellent. And let's not forget that it gets a great ability in Huge Power

The idea of an ancient near mythical monster created as the perfect representation of the nature if ice, just about managing to fight a tiny parrot is kinda sad
I think it was a necessary and healthy change that let many Pokemon actually use their offensive stats, and meant that physical or special walls would no longer completely wall entire types, but those same walls tended to suffer when the split happened as a result. Especially the ones who had a type with many weaknesses, like Regice. Even without the split, Regice would have had a rough time due to Stealth Rock, though (a move that arguably needs re-balancing as it dictates way too much of what's viable and what isn't in the metagame).

Like many others, Regiice needs a stat change Since it can slide along the ground, its base speed should be at least 90 And as I suggested before, Ice types should be reworked: Have them super effective against and resist water (ice freezes water and displaces it) This alone would make all Ice types more viable.
I’ll never forget the one time I got swept by this thing. The rock polish set took me by surprise. I had never seen the set before and I severely underestimated it. It was just a free battle in gen 6 so not too competitive but still. It made me never underestimate a Regice again!
Regice was the first Legendary I ever saw. I turned on the tv and Pokémon Lucario and the Mystery of Mew was playing half way through and the first thing I see is this cool icicle beast say Regice in this cool voice and shootin ice everywhere.

Used it in PU as a late game Cleaner on a mono ice team, granted it was gen 6 but being able to Bolt Beam Stragglers and tank special attacks was crucial after the offensive pressure of Jynx and Aboma had been taken down
I feel that if all the regis had better speed, and recover, it would make them all good, or hell better abilities, That would make Regigigas, maybe OU, in one hit, maybe, registeel to have Prankster, with all its amazing moves, would move it up a tier, and regirock better ability and moves, could get it out of PU, regice, just has the problem of having everything bad for it, mostly its typing, maybe Magic bounce on it, would help
Fun facts! You said Regice roughly 59 times! Neato! Regice, design wise, is one of my favorite pokemon, and I've tried really hard to get him to work, but he just....doesn't. I feel if all the regi's had a teeny bit more attacking power, or a reliable recovery move they'd be in a much better spot, but alas, that isn't the case, and they just feel overall meh to use competitively.
It's actually "Regi-ice". It definitely looks like "Regice", but the Regis are the same in Japanese as in English, and in Japanese it's レジアイス, or "Rejiaisu".
Ice needs more defensive utility. There are so many things ice can resist, even electric has more than 1 resistance, and ice as a substance can do a lot more than just melt and break
I think Gamefreak had designed Ice to be a fast and frail offensive type, that could handle other offensive types, but then forgot the whole "fast" part
I dunno where to post this, but I have some ideas to buff ice type pokemon (that are not water/ice) without giving them resistances (that's dangerous to do, we don't want to buff water types indirectly). 1) Give base stats based on what they are, Ice types, Glass Cannons, for example imagine if Weavile had the same speed as Crobat, or Frosslass the same speed as Accelgor. That would be great!! 2) For the rest of them that are not intended to be sweepers, give them correct tools (abilities and moves) to make them work, for example: - Vanilluxe with Slush Rush instead of Weak Armor. - Solid Rock for Avalugg and Regice. - Give Beartic an ability that grants +50% DEF under Hail. - New moves like _Ice Claw_ (70 BP, 100 AC) that raises your defense if lands and a special move that can remove your ice type if lands and your 'mon becomes Typeless but you can use it once (100 BP, 85 AC) -Buff Aurora Beam to have a 20% chance to raise your SP.DEF. 3) I'm not sure about this one, tell me if I'm wrong but: Does the Hail grants a buff to the ice types like sandstorm does to the rock type 'mons? If not, Hail should give +50 DEF (instead of SPDEF). Tell me what do you think.
- I think it would be to give ice more resistances - only 4 fully evolved Pokémon have ice and water so it would only buff 4 water types. - And our of those 4, all of them suck but cloyster, who is fairly decent.

I remember being a young teen fighting against Brandon's Regi trio in Emerald. I believe I had Swampert, Registeel, and Blaziken. It was an intense battle too. I beat his Regirock and Registeel with Swampert. Then Regice was out. It beat Swampert and Registeel. My Blaziken beat it. I used Sky Uppercut to do massive damage. It survived until Aerial Ace was used to finish Regice. I was a happy trainer.

How GOOD was Registeel ACTUALLY
Used it in PU as a late game Cleaner on a mono ice team, granted it was gen 6 but being able to Bolt Beam Stragglers and tank special attacks was crucial after the offensive pressure of Jynx and Aboma had been taken down
Regice is still my favorite of the trio. Even if it dips down like it did, I'd still use it.
I run regice with leftovers + aura veil + ice body + hail + charge beam/ancient power + blizzard

regice is a big case of why ice types need a buff
I wish Regice had more speed and reliable recovery. At least it's anime cry is cool.
I feel that if all the regis had better speed, and recover, it would make them all good, or hell better abilities, That would make Regigigas, maybe OU, in one hit, maybe, registeel to have Prankster, with all its amazing moves, would move it up a tier, and regirock better ability and moves, could get it out of PU, regice, just has the problem of having everything bad for it, mostly its typing, maybe Magic bounce on it, would help

Regice, design wise, is one of my favorite pokemon, and I've tried really hard to get him to work, but he just....doesn't. I feel if all the regi's had a teeny bit more attacking power, or a reliable recovery move they'd be in a much better spot, but alas, that isn't the case, and they just feel overall meh to use competitively.
Is Regice the only legendary to be un-tiered ?

It's actually "Regi-ice". It definitely looks like "Regice", but the Regis are the same in Japanese as in English, and in Japanese it's レジアイス, or "Rejiaisu".

Ice needs more defensive utility. There are so many things ice can resist, even electric has more than 1 resistance, and ice as a substance can do a lot more than just melt and break
I think Gamefreak had designed Ice to be a fast and frail offensive type, that could handle other offensive types, but then forgot the whole "fast" part
Next up we have Regice, easily the worst of the Regi trio and that's saying something..
I dunno where to post this, but I have some ideas to buff ice type pokemon (that are not water/ice) without giving them resistances (that's dangerous to do, we don't want to buff water types indirectly).
1) Give base stats based on what they are, Ice types, Glass Cannons, for example imagine if Weavile had the same speed as Crobat, or Frosslass the same speed as Accelgor. That would be great!!
2) For the rest of them that are not intended to be sweepers, give them correct tools (abilities and moves) to make them work, for example:
- Vanilluxe with Slush Rush instead of Weak Armor.
- Solid Rock for Avalugg and Regice.
- Give Beartic an ability that grants +50% DEF under Hail.
- New moves like _Ice Claw_ (70 BP, 100 AC) that raises your defense if lands and a special move that can remove your ice type if lands and your 'mon becomes Typeless but you can use it once (100 BP, 85 AC)
-Buff Aurora Beam to have a 20% chance to raise your SP.DEF.
3) I'm not sure about this one, tell me if I'm wrong but: Does the Hail grants a buff to the ice types like sandstorm does to the rock type 'mons? If not, Hail should give +50 DEF (instead of SPDEF).
Tell me what do you think.
- I think it would be to give ice more resistances
- only 4 fully evolved Pokémon have ice and water so it would only buff 4 water types.
- And our of those 4, all of them suck but cloyster, who is fairly decent.

From the best Regi to by far the worst of them. The Rock and Fighting buff, plus the physical special split, was its downfall.

The sprites are so much more detailed than the 3D models and the animations and even models where much better in the older 3D games vs the Switch.

I remember being a young teen fighting against Brandon's Regi trio in Emerald. I believe I had Swampert, Registeel, and Blaziken. It was an intense battle too. I beat his Regirock and Registeel with Swampert. Then Regice was out. It beat Swampert and Registeel. My Blaziken beat it. I used Sky Uppercut to do massive damage. It survived until Aerial Ace was used to finish Regice. I was a happy trainer.
