I’m building a 911 project on my channel now, as a vintage hot rod builder I’m learning a lot of Porsche knowledge from your channel. Thanks for sharing.
Mike I’ve had an hydraulic cam chain tensioner fail. I completely understand why you wanted an experienced person to rebuild it for you. Your engine looks amazing.
Hello Cevan thank you, Yes upgrading to a later style tensioner is a great option, especially if you plan on diving a lot or racing. For this particular restoration though accuracy and authenticity is the priority. The car will be driven but Im sure the milage over the years will be minimal Cheers!
Thanks for the shout out Mike.
Thank you for the Help!!=)
Cheers!

Another informative video. Thanks Mike. Is upgrading to oil fed tensioners not an option on these older engines?

I’m in the midst of a rebuild on my 3.2 and really appreciate the effort you put in to these. Very informative.
@@Cevan42 You're welcome Cevan,
Good luck on your 3.2!
Nice work! I rebuilt my chain tensioners. Not fun!
Thanks Duane, They definitely look like not much fun to re-build!
