    yesss Winbush. thank you! saves hours of killing myself in c4d trying to mix and fix mocap from different sources. the on the fly controller adjustment is again,another tool I've been looking for as C4d is alot of work to get a decent control rig setup from mixamo etc

    Thanks for being here... Im a game designer getting back into animation for shorts, and creating custom game ready animations as well... I am in love with Reallusion and the products I have purchased so far... also an old school mixamo guy... Problem I keep running into is there are very few project based Iclone projects/tutorials... I hope to explore your channel and find more concise project based ideas like this one... great work.

    Great workflow as always Winbush!! Really making me want to start using iClone8 - the joint modification to fix motion clips is super useful and looks like it is faster to the fix here than inside Ue. Cheers!

    I'd really be interested in Accurigs deformation of shoulders and armpits. They're the problem areas in Daz and Character Creator. They're getting better though and I wonder how accurig looks when you move the arms and raise the shoulders. Nice idea for a video, maybe. How good are the weights.

    Winbush, would you start a character based project in Cinema 4d or iClone? I'm familiar with Cinema 4d, but its so slow. Does iClone support things like softbodies and dynamic hair?

    • @JonathanWinbush
      @JonathanWinbush  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I typically build my characters in Character Creator then I'll attach animations to them in iClone. It does dynamic cloth and hair I'm not sure about softbodies but there is a 30 day demo I believe to try both CC4 and iClone 8 out

    Fantastic tutorial! Have you had a problem with fingers? I have rigger daz3d character (cyborg) All was automatically rigger well, but when I did a animation test, fingers does not work at all. Do you know what can be a problem?

    • @JonathanWinbush
      @JonathanWinbush  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm where did the animation come from. I know sometimes when I do mocap fingers are usually the issue and I have to just rotate them like I did with the shoulders in this video.

  • @theworldsofhemlockthecat3175
    @theworldsofhemlockthecat3175 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello ! This is really impressive, did you known if a character rigged by accurig could use mixamo animations in unreal engine 5 without using Iclone (wich is really too expansive for me). Did the accurig skeleton is similar to the ue5 mannequin skeleton ? Could the mixamo retargeting plugin be used ? I have really no ideas...

    • @JonathanWinbush
      @JonathanWinbush  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't tried but I know the Mixamo Skeleton is a bit different than what you can export from accurig but it's worth a test

  • @ivanvargas5295
    @ivanvargas5295 ปีที่แล้ว

    I went from Accurig to Actorcore to C4D and i noticed that i have to re-target mocap data to the body which really sucks. Do i have to do this if i export from Iclone? If so do you have a tutorial on how to do that? Specifically in C4D. Id really like to purchase iclone 8 but not if i have to re-target mocap data every time. That is the one thing about using Mixamo that i really like. I dont have to re-target mocap data

    • @JonathanWinbush
      @JonathanWinbush  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm you should be able to take everything directly from iClone into Cinema 4D. iClone actually has a 30 day free trial to test it out. I thought I had a tutorial on this process but guess I don't but I can easily put one together for sure 🤙🏿

    great video as always winbush, but does drag and drop of mixamo animations into iclone only works for iclone 8 or does it work with both iclone 7& 8, b/c in iclone 7 you had to use 3dxchange to import mixamo animations??

    I rigged my character and hes in the A pose in auto rigger, but when i bring him into the iclone he's in a different pose. just getting into iclone so not sure whats going on. apart from that works a treat I love how it continues a run rather than jumping back to the start postion. One thing im trying to work out is i want my guy to have his hands in handcuffs as he runs. so im using the motion layer but it only 'cuffs' for the frame i key it on. Is there a quick way to make thme cuff for the entire animation i wonder?

    • @JonathanWinbush
      @JonathanWinbush  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can keyframe the motion layer so if you keyframe it at the start it'll hold that position

    • @armondtanz
      @armondtanz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      look into a great feature called 'Attach' in modify panel. Theres also a dedicated pop up window on the 'reach target' (its in the animation menu at top).
      1. simply attach the handcuffs to one hand. (note: your attaching the handcuff to hand)
      3. the other hand you gotta use a reach target. so just connect that. (note: your attaching the other hand to the cuffs)
      Ive been doing this to attach weapons to each hand and they come out a treat.
      if you now move the 1st hand you attached everything else will follow.
      If u struggling let me know and i can post a link or title to a great demo of this.
