    @KindTom1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi @Russel, I'm having issues with the curve editor. I don't see any of the animation data.
    From 5:10, I see you switched to having a 'Baked' animation clip. How did you bake the animation? and Howcome I cant see any animation data on the curve editor? It's like I have no way of seeing the skeleton animation data, so it's that much hard to clean up.

    • @RussellMidfield

      @@RussellMidfield , thanx. Looking forward to your response. I resolved the curve editor issue. I just needed to select the Base Animation layer in the Animation Layer panel. • @KindTom1
      @KindTom1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RussellMidfield , I just found the 'Bake' option. In the menu at the to, under 'Animation' drop down menu, 'Flatten All Motion With Constraint. That will bake the animation clip. So it's not intuitive to find because the flattened clip is renamed to 'Bake', is instead of 'Flattened'. Which is the same thing, but different when w=you have to google of answers.

    Thanks for the awesome video Russell. Your dance moves are great! :D You've earned a new subscriber!
    I am an experienced 3D artist working in the industry, but a complete novice when it comes to animation. I am trying to reproduce your experiment but having some trouble.
    At time stamp 2:12, you begin. You take your Plask FBXs and you begin cleanup in iClone8. However when I try to reproduce these steps, I am confused. Are there some steps in between that didn't make it into your video?
    Basically, I have used Plask to record and create some FBXs, but when I import the FBXs to iClone8, the Edit Motion layer button does not exist for me.
    Is this down to the Plask skeleton differing from the iClone skeleton? Or something else entirely? I would love to know what I am overlooking here.
    Many thanks if you get the time to reply.

    I’m testing out getting a Plask generated animation into iClone 8 to apply to a character I made in Character Creator earlier. So far, I can’t figure this out. The exported FBX from Plask imports as an animation clip instead of Motion layers. I tried exporting a Motion Clip and dragging that onto the CC character and it said it was incompatible. Any tips for how to get this to work? I want to do this so I can then apply facial mocap from iPhone in iClone to my CC character with the Plask body anim and finally retire my janky Rokoko suit once and for all.

    Hi Russel,
    Excellent video as always! Wanted to say a big thank you to you.
    Also, i have a query and would appreciate any help.
    1. After we import an FBX from Plesk to CC4 or iClone 8, i observe that this animation works fine.
    2. However, the issue is when we try to capture the motion using CollectClip.
    We save the motion using CollectClip and when we apply this motion on an Iclone Character, it does not work and gives the error : "Cannot apply motion: Invalid File or Character not compatible"
    3. I have iClone 8 and not 7 and i saw that without 3dXchange, the above sequence is not possible. I dont want to use a cracked version of 3dXchange and dont know how to find an original copy.
    4. Would you please advise if there is a way to solve the circuit from Plesk to iClone8.
    Thank you in advance.

    As an owner of all these plug ins from reallusion for 7 that are supposed to make 8 great. I can say am having an issue with those plugins specifically for 7 now that 8 has come along. And when I contacted support they only talked about 8 not fixing the problem. support was included in my purchase of the plugin(within the last 2 years).
    Because iclone didnt offer mixers etc I'd purchased them from daz a yr or so ago. The poser mixer, easy pose creation, pose architect , pose builder can be found in daz, under 30.00 ea.
    blender has pose picker price varies with number of users, spacing sculptor is like curve editor in blender for $15.00. animation layers 28
    for the cc4 updates- a body mixer also under 30 in daz if you the pipelines for 7 & cc3.
    due to how much i've spent with reallusion in the last year or so; with no heads up of updates as a feature of customer service to have the best reallusion experience. I can say I'm not paying Again for things I already purchased.
    If they're doing this to existing customers I Know they look forward to squeezing new ones.
    Buyer be aware its only easy because of plug ins and You still have to learn the UI of both. Though reallusion does offer tutorials...they are Always lacking in totality.
    Blender and Daz have all these and more at a fraction of the price
    blenderCinepack + The Particle Library Bundle on sale and the mesh trailer is sweet.
    And blenders Grease pencil and all things Grease pencil ...check that out.
    My experience with Blender support of the particle hair plug in that is now obsolete if you have blender 3 and up. The creator is kind enough to help me ensure it keeps working in the older version of blender. They even made contact 1st when they didnt hear from me for a while. And you can still dload older versions of Blender for use with addons. Awesome customer service.
    This was an expensive lesson, for me. I was ignorant because NO one had really talked of them Truthfully in the comments or any video of how Reallusion operates. I was unable to learn from anyone else's experience with Reallusion.
    save you the trouble money and time by being truthful about Reallusion.

    • @KeturahTori
      @KeturahTori 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't recommend Reallusion to a new user considering how they treat existing customers.
      As your needs advance with your project, reallusion is an expensive option that will probably still need a patch from daz or blender to get what you want.
      CLOTHING
      JEWELRY
      Vehicles
      Furniture
      buildings
      Mesh machine for hard surface modeling to customize and make your projects unique
      Other users have even said iclone used to have a pose mixer in the past and then they took it away now they're bringing it back so people may have already owned that plug in too and now they'd have to pay again as well
      Buyer Be Aware

      What I wrote is a Warning for all considering buying reallusion products
      Who wants to be mid project and have a plug in not work suddenly and there be no support for it because you will not pay again for what is to be included in your initial purchase
      Anyone who bought add ons and the pipeline should be upset right now.
      They were working on it for years they said so they knew the situation they were creating.
      Buyer be aware
      If reallusion Would have fixed the issue rather than tell me I need to upgrade clone 8 to use what I already paid for and was working fine with 7; my wording may have been a bit different
