Love Honda’s! Love the 500, the muffler does not look good at all.
2 strokes are superior in every way. Way more horsepower and weigh less.

Man the power to weight ratio is on point...👍💯🏁 Definitely wanna see a drag race and wanna see 3 wheel and 500R builds. Im a late 70’s 80’s kid I was born in 75 I'm a 2-Stroke guy. I hate hate hate 4 strokes! The way they sound and perform. The only thing cool about them is they're so easy to wheelie. But I wouldn't piss on a 4 stroke if it was on fire. Do a sick stroked 500 engine and put it in one of those new 450R's....👍💯🏁

Kaplan Cycles did a wheel dyno test of his '97 race bike VS a brand-new YZF450. It slaughtered the 450 in hp and torque. Pretty decent spread too.

Would like to see a ktm built cr or kx 500. I have a CR500AF. The Honda aluminum rollers are nice but vibrate too much. Wish Honda would switch back to a steel frame like KTM.
You’re leaving HP on the table with that lectron & stock reed setup. Install a MRE VF2 reed block, keihin air striker with the STIC. The power gains are alarming! Don’t get me wrong, love your builds & vids!

Nice bikes I think the 450 will beat the CR 500 in a short race and the 500 will have more top end when it hits the power band. And if you want someone to Dyno your Trikes or Dirt bikes call RACERS EDGE talk to John Dyer his shop is on Grant Rd just west of I-10 he is one of the best engine builders in the country, he built my Honda TRX 450 engine and got 60hp on race gas. And I think he even gets more than 60 depends on how far you want to go. Wear are you test riding your bikes at?

Build a rearward fuel tank the Cr500 that puts the main tank under the seat, in that big hole left by the CRF 4-stoke intake system, thats not there anymore!
I thought about a larger tank that takes up that area… def trying to keep weight centralized. Was not a big fan of cannondale with the tank under the seat it just felt odd
@@BVCOFFROAD Remember The factory Suzuki's SX bikes, the RH250's of 1983? They did not work, but their CG was too far back. I think yours is going to work. Put some simulated weight in there and weigh it, and see if the CG changes much?

9ish pound diffrence..... the 2 stroke 4 stroke weight is becoming irelevent!
Especially when you consider the 450 has estart so the weight difference is pretty much nothing
@@tcmx712 kick start 450 with bateeryless efi ..... probly dead even in weight or danm close to it ! its stupid the 450 only have estart , i wil take a kickstart before anything!
