Have gotten this comment a few times, taking apart brand new forks sounds so unappealing right now but might put it on the list haha. I wonder if there's a symptom that shows they may be loose, or if they just kaboom all of a sudden?
@@KincadePavich I have 2 friends who have this issue, both noticed a clunk or pop noise in the fork. It's a known issue, the dealer should have an update or at least be able to fix the issue. I don't think it's dangerous, but it could ruin the whole shim/valve assy.
I personally like full wrap handguards more just due to the fact it also prevents damage to the levers a little more and ive basically punched through trees with them
Mate. It took me quite a while to get my first genuinely new bike. I've owned a 'close to new' Yamaha R1...a 'close to new' Ducti 1098S....but, it wasn't until an insane argument with my wife, that I managed to buy a brand new, straight out of the crate, bike.(You'd think I was arguing that I want a brand new bike? Wrong. She was arguing that I want a brand new bike!) At 55, I bought a brand new KTM EXC-F 500 'six days' France. Enjoy, and remember this moment. Fortunes come and go. You never know when one, or the other, will be served to you.
Sweet build!! I would recommend full wrap lower fork guards as well. Cheap insurance. With my 24 EX 300 I tore town the linkage and regreased ALL the pivots. It was scary how dry the assemblies are from factory. Cheers and enjoy the new whip.

Can’t recommend an RK Tek high compression head enough. Super easy install. Completely changed my 300 for the better. Huge mid range increase, insanely better fuel efficiency (I’m on a carb model) and it’s so good at elevation. No plug loading when I run up at 9K’ with 6k’ jetting. Edit: Also runs way cooler. I literally don’t need a fan.
I did the same thing with my 2024 KTM350XCF FE. All Bullet Proof products for bike, Fan, floating rear axle, Alt Rider lowering link, suspension revalve, Rekluse 4.0 clutch and GPR V4 dampener with top triple clamps and WCL motor mounts. Its amazing offroad and does plenty good on the mx tracks. Congrats on new bike.
I love the build! One thing I’d recommend is to grease the bearings. Stock I’ve seen bikes with very little grease from the factory. Either way it’s a sweet build and looking forward to seeing it in action
Crosslink is a solid company, purchased my guards from them a while ago and the owner took good care of me. I just used your link to order the oil cap cover and upper fork guards - thanks for the idea.

Quick tip with the odi grips instead of cutting off the end all you have to do it get a hammer and punch and hit down the inside of the grip tube and the end will pop right off leaving for a nice clean end👍 nice new bike btw

@@jean-pierregertenbach3370 I said a skid plate, not an exhaust guard. Either way, these bikes should absolutely be coming with a skid plate and fan for nearly 12k before tax. Someone probably already commented but you can take a larger T-handle or similar and punch out the outer portion of both grips. No cutting necessary and you won’t shorten the grip any.

Best mod to keep these bikes cool riding hard enduro it to get rid of the thermostat, it’s extremely restrictive. NiceCNC make a tee piece that replace the OEM portion, x-Grip also do a delete kit. 100% worth doing
5:15 - That tab support is a good start, but you'll be wanting to replace the lower guide with a beefier one for hard enduro, the stock ones bend too easily if you get trapped in a rut or smack a rock and derail the chain. Instead of motor oil on the bars, try some spray on dry teflon lube, it grabs waaaay less dirt. I'd also consider full wrap protection, I don't like the change in feel of the front end, but I smashed my knuckles way too many times with simple brush guards and bar ends. I also favour a carbon guard on the pipe in conjunction with the port support, it prevents a surprising amount of damage.
Hey man, just a heads up I know with my 22 tpi bike it’s highly recommended to let the bike come up to operating temp before touching the throttle Enjoy the bike!
I had a '20 250 TPI and never touched the throttle prior to the bike being fully warm - to my understanding TBIs are different and can be revved up as a normal 2 stroke. Although maybe I should research a little further to make sure. I haven't seen the same cylinder scoring issues from TBIs that TPIs had.
Unfortunately the BPD guards protect the front of the radiator and do not brace them for bending as much as you would like. You need true braces for well, bracing.
On future new bikes, remove all factory plastics and store them away for eventual reinstallation and subsequent sale of the bike. Factory plastics and decals make the bike look like a low-mileage garage queen. 😁
