The massage technique worked!! The front screen went black after dropping the thing. The button trick didn't work. The massage trick worked perfectly! I heard a click by the left side, middle of the screen. Then I restarted it and it turned on! Thanks dude...from Los Angeles.

Did this actually work? My inner screen has gone black and my WiFi button has stopped working aswell. Did you have the WiFi issue aswell or just the screen?
@@GrimWeirdo It did work, unfortunately my luck was that after many months of no front screen working, I dropped mine in water and the inner screen has a huge black blotch and it is no longer useable 🥲

i have the same problem too with my Z fold 3 but i wanna know why this problem happen ? is it hard of software problem ?
@nightmoon2261 on the day... I dropped my phone, less than 60cm of the ground and it fell on carpet and I did not even notice up until I wanted to use the phone then I realized I had a problem. So I think it's slight moderate drops that cause the connector to come loose and the tapping and massage just clicks it back into place

Thank you!!! Hard Reset was a no go but a quick massage, heard the click and poof. I do have a warrantee but I had dropped my phone immediately before and got the black screen even with a case. So I figured I'd give this a try before subjecting myself to a Verizon store. LIFE SAVER!!!!❤❤❤

My Z fold 3 all of a sudden stopped switching from cover screen to main screen, I could still turn on the main screen but only if my cover screen was turned off in first place if it makes sense so to fix that I tried the restarting method by holding on to the power and volume button which resulted my phone completely turning off and wasn't turning back on but thanks to you the charging method worked for me after 40 mins of charging it turned back on and it also switches from cover screen to the main also one quick very important part is that if you restarted your phone with the fold unfolded make sure you try to turn it on also unfolded that's because at first with folded my fold wasn't turning back on but as soon as I unfolded it and tried the power button and volume button it turned on
also having the same problem. currently charging my phone right now and hopefully it'll fix the issue
@@TheAdiktusneo I too have the exact same problem. Charging might help but after a while the phone will go off once again. I guess, the phone has reached the end of its life in just a little over a year. I regret my purchase.

I used my flip 4 for 9 months, and I have issue with the connection. Everytime I open my phone, blank screen & I need to unlock it using side button. When I fold it back, my cover screen get stucked. Eg I unfold the phone, flat screen and want to make fold to half as easier to take selfies, the screen will turn black screen and took a less then 3mins to restart itself, but I can still hear the keypad sound. 😢 .... for now I just use with flat screen. For my convenient.

Yoo guys u guys talking about fold 4 right cuz mine turn black screen nd I was it's dead wtf it had 65% but I called it it vibration on but didn't sss screen and I hit the reset the first try and it came back I was like wtf 2k phone and berly 3 months already fucking up lol
It's laughable that you have to "massage" a $1,000 phone to bring the screen back. It's absolutely rubbish!

For thouse who like i getting Samsung Fold (3) freezing and going on reboot after beeing unfolded. Here is solution for you: turn off external screen before opening phone, and same in opposite direction turn screen off before folding. Its not a total solution of problem, but its allow you prevent thouse freezing, black screens and rebooting
So mine worked perfectly till this morning. I was playing a game.. after i wanted to put it on the charger, and as soon as i fold my phone the thing turns off and doesnt boot up when folded. The phone works perfectly when folded open. When its on the charger now i can fold my phone and it still works. Does anyone have tips cause earliest appointment i could get for a pick up is the 27th of dec ☠️

I can get it reset but I shouldn't have to deal with this! Don't want to continue reseting my phone everytime i get a back screen! Any idea on what issue might be and why this is happening in just getting black screen?
I have this issue and I can get the outside screen to work. if I open the phone the inside screen is black and it will brick the phone all over again. then I have to do a 30sec reset to get the outside screen working. so now I jist font open it. also the Bluetooth and wifi won't work either
Exactly same problem software is the last one 6.0 but the Bluetooth problem started before that software

@alita4888 ok. something went well. I paid asurion the $99 deductible and they sent a new device. it'll be good to know for future issues though😉

I got feed up with it going to Black Screen of Death and went back to my ultra 22
I tried but screen shutdown again.. phone just works now with doble screen. 2 years with phone and never gave me problem. Maybe battery but strange cause it's fully charged. Oh and this happened after lasted software update. Good thing I got protection cover

It scared the crap out of me I dropped my fold 3 from less than a foot out of my pocket The front screen just stopped working at all I restarted like three times and it finally turned on about crapped myself I only paid 200 bucks for the thing so it was a steal 💀
I took mine to Service Centre & they replaced the inside Screen & returned it within 24hrs
Don't try all these just take it to Samsung Service Centre if your phones under warranty
is your inside screen black as well and only the cover screen working? I'm having that issue now.

It's under warranty No Charge, they said inner display had a issue and just replaced it, and did not even format my phone got it just like I gave it to them
Just wondering if anyone else here used a magnet phone holder for a car? I'm thinking that maybe is what caused this issue for me.
Same thing with another guy in the comments, my z fold 4 when opened turns black after a few seconds, horrible static from the speakers and closing it + waiting for a few seconds on the cover screen for the system to stop slowing down stops the issue.

My galaxy fold 3 outer screen is black. The clock always displays 00:00, and I only see the credit card widget on the bottom.
The inner screen works correctly as usual. This happened after the latest software update.

I started getting this whenever the phone is unfolded. There'll be a horrible screech from the speakers when I unfold it, then the phone will become unresponsive. I have tried a factory reset, hard reset, clearing the cache and nothing works.
I have had this phone for all of 28 days, it's terrible that Samsung let this get through quality control
Also 1 month and then dead they give me new one and in first day pixel died and after 3 months (now) same thing again black screen

Spot on mate. Been a crazy fan of fold series but regretting it. Been using fold 3 and can see issues after 2 years of use with wifi not working and screen going dead. Not worth for a $2500 purchase

I had my zfold 4 barely 1 year and now when I close it, the phone fully shut downs instantly. I have to hold the 2 buttons for a while to make the Samsung logo appear. Wtf is this garbage pgone?! To make matters worse, the in store support for Samsung is just as terrible as online support. They mail you a box and you wait 2 weeks without a phone!!! I am ditching Samsung after this 😂
