Exploring the Haunted Caverns of the Hellfire Club. Hellfire Caves. Wycombe

The Hellfire Caves are a network of man made chalk and glint caverns that run 260 metres underground. The Caves were excavated in the mid 18th Century for Francis Dashwood, the cofounder of the Hellfire Club, a club that saw members perform obscene parodies of religious rites....black masses, satanic worship, and deviant sexual activities.
The Club lasted less than two decades but gained enough notoriety for it to be talked about 300 years later.
Ghosts haunt the Caves, skulls and faces adorn the walls of the passageway until reaching the inner temple where the club would meet. To reach it, cross the River Styx to enter the Underworld.
A tourist attraction since 1951, join Danielle and I as we head into the former meeting place of one of the original Hellfire Clubs.
