- The St Ives Estate is the largest park in the Bradford District with 550 acres to wander and explore.
The most famous owners were the Ferrand family. They purchased the estate in 1635 and the features in the park were put there by them over time.
The Estate houses the Druids Altar, the Coppice Pond and an abandoned nursing home.

Oh wow childhood memories ,i grew up here . St Ives was my second home as a child 😊 Altar Rocks was our usual walk before sunday dinner .stories were the Druids used to throw people off the Altar to their death 😮. The abandoned building was mostly used as a care home. Surprised you got in its had a recent fire and has had alot of security recently you did well to get in👍😁 as a child I used to play round the front of it where there was a pond with fish and tadpoles 😁
Sometimes we get lucky with the buildings 😊. Was eerie with all the wheelchairs, etc left there. Nice place to grow up though. Cheers 😊
Silly me. I’ve been pronouncing it ‘Steve’s Estate’ all this time.
I wouldn't correct you.....I'm not cruel 😅
we do love a good bit of urbex.
Indeed....this one unexpected as Wikipedia says the building is already apartments. 😉
10 minute drive from me great walk, coppice pond is lovely . Shame about the fire was sad when it happened . My friends mum worked there whem it was a nursing home ❤
It's a lovely spot. I'm.not sure we saw everything whilst walking round. Yeah, it's a shame...😔
Cracking good vlog as usual Matt😎👍
Thanks a lot 😊
😊. Ani great video
Thank you 😊
Funnily enough there is a cave near Lady B's rock called Pan Hole.
Oh right....cheers. I'll look it up as I've also found out we missed an ice house and a sculpture trail. So may return....maybe next year!
My friends sister was found dead, murdered near the 'druids altar' at St. Ives in 1995.
Gosh, I'm sorry to hear that. Just reading about it now. Mandy?? RIP 😞
