Ordered the exact same trim GTI 380 manual , love the power to weight . Purchased the manual as it's the last year VW is offering it in the GTI. Got love the Kings Red should fit it with the other four red vehicles we have.
I owned an MKV and VI GTI and I think the car has evolved over the years but 43k is a lot of money and what I noticed with the trim levels is as you move up the trim line you lose the bang for the buck so to speak. Perhaps the bargain is the base GTI with cloth seats which I feel are miles better than the budget leather seats VW offers. Also the wheels and sunroof are personal preferences. I’m not a fan of those wheels and I wouldn’t go with a sunroof if I was in the market to buy one of these but that’s just me. 13:12

It's an autobahn GTI with dealer accessories (lip and rear hatch spoiler) and a BFI shift knob. Nothing special/different than what will be offered in the US. The 380 package (black roof/mirrors/wheels) is available on every manual trim (S, SE, Autobahn)

Great review, Sam. Thanks for that again! 4IL with 240hp, that’s no slouch definitely. Bear in mind that’s the same power output a regular MB C 300 until 2018 had. So, great engine. I have to agree with the haptic buttons. Not a big fan of the “simplification” trend of manufacturers when all what they are doing is cutting down on costs with things that are more distracting and draw your attention from the road (like screen embedded interfaces). Real buttons with real feedback to your touch while your eyes are on the road, that will never get old. But I guess I will be called a dinosaur now… Maybe that’s why EVs will drive autonomously, for the 90% of drivers that suck when they are behind a wheel… Peace!
Yeah, same here, but it looks like this spec he's referring to is Canadian only. Personally I don't see too big of a difference in packaging. I'm interested in a US GTI 380 S model.
There is not an option I can build a 2024 Golf manual without the black roof in the VW Canada site. I am quite certain the golf in this video is not 2024 MY. Beside all 2024 Golf manual comes with the Golf R wheels.
you can get gain horsepower GTI. get APR. tuning flash about gain 75 horsepower over stock and torque about 108 bls . The APR Stage 1 and Stage 2 ECU upgrades are designed for use on the factory turbocharger. The ECU alone with no hardware mods produces 328-375 HP and 391-427 FT-LBS with +63-105 WHP and +96-129 WFT-LBS over stock. By adding hardware such as our intake and intercooler, the tune automatically jumps to Stage 2 power levels and produces 345-392 HP and 391-428 FT-LBS with +76-122 WHP and +96-131 WFT-LBS over stock.

I left my 2017 Focus ST-2 for a new GTI. Interior is a lot nicer than in the Focus by a long shot. The only thing I really miss are the Recaros. The minimalistic design of the GTI feels nice and clean with the screens. Touch controls are a breeze to use!

That's because they've used the original 70's/80's 'GTI' typeface. Maybe to be 'retro' or as a hint that the Golf GTI has a rich pedigree, so having the original GTI typeface signifies this link to its past.

Nothing wrong with driving a slower car fast imo. I see plenty of crossovers with 150hp racing around. I wouldn't say a landslide. If you value comfort and practicality more than gti wins. Performance wise it is probably 8/10's of the other two in terms of driving thrill.
