That's a neat idea! It's not possible to apply a template to automatically created jots, but you can apply it manually every day using the "[[=" syntax to search for your template note.
@@tristen_grant Hey Tristen! We still don't have this option available in the app. Perhaps because our users didn't yet create a feature request for it. Please feel free to create one yourself, so that we can start measuring how many people would use it! For what it's worth, this feature could now also be a community-developed plugin, so if you suggest that on our Discord, someone might build it faster than we could get to it!
Hey Andrea, good point, we'll aim to reinstate the "Duplicate" button on the note menu when a note is locked, more sooner than later. In the meantime, you can still duplicate locked notes through the Quick Open menu, as Shu shows in the video.
@@Amplenote Ahh, yes...You must actually start typing the title of the template you are searching for and then the duplicate option appears in the Quick Open menu! I wasn't following directions very well😳
I also came to the comments to look for this. Apologies for posting on a 2 years old thread 😅 It seems that when selecting the Ctrl+O quick command on windows browser(using Mozilla) from that locked note, it does not show the option to duplicate even when the title it typed out in the search. Only offers to create new note named X. However, if I navigate to another note and follow the same steps, it will offer to create a copy. Not sure if this is intended behavior, but was happy to see I was not the only one who may have encountered this. Hope you have a great day!

It seems as though you cannot duplicate the note if you have locked it. That option goes away once I lock the note.
