Amplenote + GTD is the foundation of my sanity as a father of a 5 year old. The day Shu's video showed up in my feed actually changed my life. Still slowly moving my notes and bookmarks from Evernote, Onenote and Sticky notes to their last home. Kudos to Bill and his team.
I am testing Amplenote now based on this video. I am duly impressed with the app, and I'm impressed with how clearly you presented this content. THANK YOU.
Glad you like it!!!
top 10 most soothing voices on youtube, great content as always!
I so wanted to like AmpleNote and went all in with a subscription and shifted my entire Todoist+Logseq+Evernote+Tascaly set up over to it. However, after 4 months of use I had to go back. There was just so much friction to getting things done, capturing tasks and organisation of notes ended up being a pain. Let the subscription expire in the end. It's a shame, it looked like the all in one answer I needed but I found that it is a good but not great task manager, a good but not great note system, etc. I just find working with distinct and optimised tools for each individual area is a much better way to go.
so what's your current apps you use?
@@azkanand5832 I use UpNote.
Interesting. I would imagine there would be more friction if you use 4 different apps
@@mamangtisoyeh, there's different ways to skin a cat... using a pretty pedestrian combo of ical/reminders/workflowy/browser bookmarks these days. most stuff happens in workflowy, as I don't feel a need to put individual tasks onto my calendar, for example. cmd+tab to quickly switch apps really isn't a big deal. learning all the hotkeys for the apps helps too. having sth that makes sense to the individual and then rly mastering it > searching for the holy grail app. IMHO :)
What do you use for a notes app? I'm currently using ToDoist for tasks, and Morgen for calendar and am looking for a notes app - currently using Nimbus Notes and considering switching. Thanks for help. Roger
What;s your whole setup now? ample note for tasks and meetings/ raindrop for saving stuff and napkin for note taking? and notion for project management?
take us through it!
Wow !! Thanks Shu. I didn't know that Amplenote can do so much.
Thanks Shu for these videos about Amplenote. Expanding on @Nour's question... I would specifically like to know how you are taking ideas and knowledge that you are developing in Napkin over to the more structured environment of Amplenote. This is the logical progression that requires a human activity and am wondering how you would approach it.
Top notch video, thank you.
Thank you for the in depth presentation, after this i'll defenitly check out Amplenote. May i make some some suggestions for your presentation-style: 1) please DON'T blow up the volume of the background-music in between the spoken parts, there's no meaning, no value in it and for sensitive people it's veeery distractive. 2) i feel there's way to much movement visually, sure highlighting things is helpfull, but to me it felt more like a speed-run where i have to keep up with which pictures matches which sentence; sometimes watching you speak to the camera without even more texts or graphics would help out to reduce 'visual noise' - less is more. I hope you can find some constructive critic in this. Thanks again for the presentation! All the best!
Love your videos Shu but I did giggle at the “I’ve been using Amplenote for years…”. Anyway, like others, I really gave this a try and wanted it to work but just couldn’t get on with the way it shows search results and tasks. It’s like being locked in half of your house. Went back to Roam, yes Roam the thing everyone has ran away from. Still love the interface.
You are the best channel of this kind I’ve watched! So informative and well organised, thank you Shu!
This looks great. How do you feel it compares to Agenda?
My love!! -- I've been looking for you all my life.... Bye bye simplenote!
How do you sum a column in a table?
Same here - everyone in my class uses notion or walling - I still prefer this
❤️❤️
Decided to give AN a try after this, but found it only has the 12 hour clock? 24 hour time setting is a #1 key feature to me.. :(
How is LogSeq vs AmplNote?
High production values!
How much Space to Save data on it?
Videos uploading?
I was trying to important notes from Obsidian, but the images won’t show up on Amplenote, anyone else experience the same and know how to fix it?
Is there note limit for free plan?
使用を検討していますのでフリープランの場合、ノート数やストレージの制限があるかを知りたいです。
Looking for the Gmail automation you said you would link in the description?
IFTTT
How is the mobile App?
any cons? there has to be some weaknesses to this app
idk, I guess it's par for the course these days, but for a nillionaire like me $72 /year for a notes app sure does look like a downside, lol. in all seriousness, the very much non-detailed privacy policy isn't exactly confidence inspiring.
I really like the concept of Amplenote. Is there a possibility for quick capture from everywhere when you are working on the desktop, like in TickTick and Todist? In my Setup its just ctr. + space -> note + enter -> done (love this)

Interface is incredibly overwhelming. I gave up on it instantly.
vazut
It seems like half the time is spent in organizing all this stuff
I have tryed this app,but I just ask myself one question, what is this app different from Evernote?I think there is nothing better than evernote。
To me it feels a lot less cluttered. I’m less confused navigating around then I was in Evernote.
I also hate how the ai button is prominently displayed and that all it does is “cleanup”.
All my opinions.
Upnote is definitely better. I am tired of Evernote slowliness and constant price changing
Another tool, another montly fee...
