When you put filters on splitters it helps a lot if you fully specify all outputs. These keeps unwanted items from routing incorrectly. For instance when you were trying to pull ice, make the splitter output gate for the storage only allow 'ice', and for the continue forward part of the splitter only allow 'smart concrete'. If you don't do this, any overflow at the splitter will just continue on down the line and clog everything.
I was finally able to catch up to the series. Loved your playthrough. Hopefully you'll be able to get back to it when there is more content and optimisation available. Thank you for this!
Just subscribed to your channel. Really enjoyed binge-watching this series. Your content is way better than anyone else covering the CRUST. Can't wait for you to come back to this once it is a full release.... Baie dankie @Surtr - alles van die beste!
Yeah, I agree with you here. It can be a very good game, but it's not quite there yet. Helium seems to not be in the game yet, half of tech tree is not there, most of what colonists can be/will be able to do is not there, etc. I put 20 hours in and left it to accumulate some fixes. For some reason it stimulated me to play Ixion again, since I played it in 2022 last time and there were plenty of fixes there since then. Thanks for playing and showing stuff!
Hope things get worked out bug wise. Got a lot of good ideas from your play through, as you took the time to explain things out, whereas other streamers just glossed over issues.
At least you managed to get the ice harvester built. I deleted it like you did and still get the same bug. Love your base it’s very neat. I have moon spaget 😂
So maybe branch multiple power poles in the input of the elevator and do the same to the output the elevator. Exemple: Solar have 2 connections for chaining them up, battery have 3 so maybe 2 for chain and 1 for output and select 10 battery for 10 pole and plug the elevator and do the same for output and try spreading the power poles between the modules (can’t remember atm if there is 10 input but I do know there are 10 output underground). So your be getting from “parallel” power instead of “serie”, so if the theory of the power limit of those pole are connect then this should fix that issue and would explain why the elevator has that many input/output. If that not the case why have that many connections???
Mind you, I have watched several players spend many hours on this game... and except for how to break the market to make millions from the start (JDPlays showed how), most of what the players appear to be finding is in fact Frustration in large quantities.... Since reading a few things about the game, it appears to eventually be a battle game against the AI... not really sure I am interested.
Well, if they do make it a battle game I would prefer to be doing quests to fight against solar flares and meteor showers. Anyway, we will see where it goes.
I love your videos and have also been building a huge base. I was progressing well, but now none of my saves will run, even earlier saves. They load but as soon as I press play to start things going, the game just closes with a crash report. I started a new game but have lost my enthusiasm. I think its a little too early for me to get into it. I will wait a bit.
Hello, I'm sorry, I'm asking you a favor, could you make a video explaining how the "Conveyor's Elevator" works, I think they are very confusing because for me the products all come out of the same belt, it creates a lot of confusion or is it me? I don't know how it works, I've been looking for something related to this subject and I can't find anything and I think you explain things very well, thank you and good luck and all the best to you.
Here is the quick and dirty explanation. build the elevator and have 4 different items on conveyers to send upstairs, build 4 storage boxes a few spaces away from the elevator. Connect the 4 belts to the elevator, go to the storage boxes and select which product you want to go to each. You can then connect the elevator belts to your storage in whatever layout that looks good. The belt detects what item the storage box is selected for and sends that item. I think it's very cool and smart.
As I was playing the game I wonders what the correlation between high research point and low research point with the research time?? And in my current storyline playthrought I have about all my current research with engineers done but lacking the 1 or 2 other color missing or lagging behind. So to move on to newer tech I need to finish these first which lead me to waste engineers point while these finish.. and getting annoyed by the game telling your waiting point😅😅
I think Helium-3 stuff just haven't been implemented yet. There was no mining rig or any processing machine to convert it into Helium-3 from its raw form. What doesn't make any sense why would they have Thermonuclear Energy station available as a research when there's no way to implement it in any way? I get that they're showcasing it but, why showcase the end point?
Yeah, I get that its early access but stuff like that pisses me off. When you implement a new feature it has to go in a pack ,not in piceses. The game is borrowing a lot from Factorio and Factorio was in early access for almost 10 years. At least when they implemented a feature , it was in a package.
If we are talking real science then the helium 3 would be spread evenly over all the moon. So I'm assuming you are going to eventually get a mobile mining unit that can go out and collect the helium. FYI helium 3 is made in the sun and is sprayed out evenly. It's been posited that the moon has enough to fuel fusion reactors for thousands of years. The problem is how is the thin layer collected.
Hi Thanks for the videos, I got a few good tips on how to play The Crust from them. I really liked the Multi-Regolith setup EP 4. I noticed that you use seperate conveyors for your storage & need a lot of route planning for them. If your interested I use a 1 conveyor setup as you can see in the video link below. I'm only using the standard conveyors ATM so if things start to bakup I can upgrade them. The loop going around the storage is only for re-routing goods incase i make a mistake in the Distributor setups plus it can feed the conveyor lifts to the surface which I would put to the right of the storage. th-cam.com/video/7qpTKpj4Hs4/w-d-xo.html

Thanks. I played for a bit offline and figured out how to do that. It is quite detailed.

That's the plan! The devs are working hard so we might have something soon.
@@surtrplays looking forward to it.

Thanks for watching and subbing. I appreciate your support. Lekker dag vir jou.
Thank you for the series, It was most enjoyable. Now I will have to look at the other games you cover !
Thank you so much for watching.
son of a..... I have been trying to figure out how to show water deposits and you saved me on that. Never noticed the filters in the bottom right.
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching.
superb content my friend.....great share ....have a great week

Moon spaget is awesome. Embrace the spaget.
I think 'WIP' means Work In Progress, and that isn't ready yet.
Indeed it is and I completely missed it.
Have you tried the Vehicle bay. It says it can upgrade vehicles maybe the ice harvester can be upgraded to include harvesting Helium
I built it but there is no options to do anything with it.
@@surtrplays then we have to wait for the next development patch. That's How I played Planet Crafter, patch to patch.
I have found that not enough power happens when you build a power pole. It goes away when the pole is built. Confused me a lot when it happened.
I'm not sure but I think the power lines can only carry a certain amount of power.
So maybe branch multiple power poles in the input of the elevator and do the same to the output the elevator.

Solar have 2 connections for chaining them up,

Well I for one am happy you found SOMETHING... finding nothing is tedious... Frustration is not.

This game has a long way to go. Maybe ask the devs if they can fix your save. Thank you for watching.
Really nice layout, Would you be willing to share your save?
I may do on my Discord.

I'm not sure but the game is in early access and still needs some balancing.
looks like their fixing some of the colonists issues in the latest patch
Yes, I saw that. Holding thumbs.
No H3 added to game yet to harvest , so we waiting updates
Thanks.

Het! What do I do with melted ice? I built a large water tank inside a human building, but nothing was emptied into it.
I'm not sure if that is a bug. If you have an ice melter and the water tank is in the same building, your tank should automatically fill up.
@@surtrplays I figured it out. I didn't have the buildings walls pugged in. Researching the electric panel now. Thanks!
try starting a new save where you choose to save the people, the general feeling this is harder to play through this option
Let me know how it goes.
Was I the only one that didn't know you can put more than one miner on a mine patch?
I never even thought to try.
Hi Surtr, Can you try Chocolate factory? 8:) , Love your content.
I'll check it out!

Incoming Spice Harvesters from Dune?
It is a work in progress so we will see what the devs come up with.
@555lourens without the worms please.
Real science the moon always faces the same direction no day night cycle

dude its early acces lol, do you know what that means !!!
@@mat80m Means you're an idiot for not realizing this isn't even pre-alpha material.
I am sure they are working on fixing the problems. It is fun enough that I will play again, just waiting for things to get sorted out.
