I just purchased the game and have played for about 3 hours. It has been really good to see the strategy your applying, holding off doing automation too early, using the scout explore everywhere you can, but not worrying about using a cargo truck early in the game. So thank you for this series, its been very enjoyable. I am up to episode three, I have subscribed - happy to discover your channel - I hope you do lots more episodes.
I got stuck when I started playing because I built refineries too early. Watching your video helped me realize I should slow down a bit at the start. Thanks!
Thanks for your guides! After the start of the game's plot, I got the impression that it was better to get comfortable in the sandbox first. [Google translation, sorry for the mistakes]
I cant watch, I wanna experience this firsthand, THEN ill come back and watch some. Having you 2 steps ahead of me in Foundry was nice, but this one in want new.
I've had this on Wishlist but starting to have 2nd thoughts. Trying to figure out what sets this game apart from the other (seemingly) very similar options out there. Like Surviving Mars as just a random example.
Thank you, Gawd you can do nothing for as long as you wish. So many games now have attrition, and you die without gathering food or energy over a certain amount of time.
Great video and the game looks interesting. One problem though. There is no day-night cycle on the moon. The moon does not rotate. There is a dark side and light side.
"There is no day-night cycle on the moon. The moon does not rotate. There is a dark side and light side." Actually no...the light goes around the moon constantly (as it goes around earth, but with a different timing, not with a 24h cycle, a lot slower)...what I think you are thinking about is the fact that we, from earth, always see the same face of the moon (and we never see the opposite side, the so called "hidden side of the moon"...that is "hidden" not because it's always dark...it's hidden because we dont ever see it, from our perspective)... So the moon does not rotate its face relative to earth, to us...but ofc it rotates realtive to the sun and so every part of the moon is in the light or in the shadows in a constant cycle. The game is correct ...if you put an object in a fixed position (like a human base) on the surface of the moon you will experience a day/night cycle there. (on the moon you have aproximately 2 weeks of light and 2 weeks of dark on a 28 days cycle) That is why we see the lunar phases from earth (full moon, half moon, new moon), at about 1 month cycle...we see the same piece of land, the same territory and craters, and sometimes they are white and sometimes black...
@@raidrluvrf18 If there would be a way to let the moon rotate around you... You seem so bright you might be able to power some solar even at this distance...
Indeed ... the Moon is tidally locked to Earth. There is a Light Side and a Dark Side, not 14 days cycles. That would make the game very easy (or very hard on the other side) .. so I'll allow it 😝
@@JohnnyHughes1 "Indeed ... the Moon is tidally locked to Earth. There is a Light Side and a Dark Side, not 14 days cycles." LOL...I already replied to the person who started the thread and made the same conceptual mistake...and here we are again... :DDDD "Tidally locked to EARTH" means we, from earth, always see the same face of the moon...that DOES NOT MEAN that that face is always in the light and the other face (that we dont see) is always in the dark...the 2 things are NOT the same. WE, from Earth, always see the same face of the moon, BUT as you can see in different days of the month if you look at it, that same face sometimes is lighted by the Sun and sometimes is dark (or half/half). (a planet that would have a face always dark and the other always lighted would be called "tidally locked to the SUN"...who is the light source of the solar system...not to earth, that emits no light) The moon has a day/night cycle of approximately 28 days (a month...not a coincidence that our calendar have those, since they are historically connected to the lunar cycles) and so any single place on the satellite is receiving the light from the sun according to that cycle. So the game is CORRECT in making you take the day/night cycle of the moon into consideration in their play mechanics.
@@surtrplays ah. Thank you for the reply. I had no idea that it was spelled differently in different regions. That explains it. I really do appreciate knowing things like this.
This game has a very good potential...but they need to revisit and fix a lot of things that are currently not working very well or just terrible...first of all the "AI" of the little bots that is completely broken and wastes soooo much time "spinning" around for miles inside the base doing basically nothing...incredibly inefficient. Just look when they excavate the walls...is ridiculous...and the more the base become large and complex the worse the situation become...

Thanks for your guides!

I agree. Once you understand the game, the story is easier.
Thank you Surtr for these videos, very useful as the game is a little tricky in the beginning to get your head around. Subbed!
I'm glad I could help. Thanks for the sub!
Great start, really enjoyed it. I've watched players elect to buy the research potions etc so its new to see your approach,,economical:)
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
I've played the demo a while back, but man I can't wait for the 15th!! I really enjoyed the demo, and with all the new stuff, its going to be epic!
It is really good. This is going to be a big one.
This looks fun, added to my wishlist! Looking forward to more videos. Good job, thank you sir!
Thank you so much for watching.
Time for some Crust crushing. XD. Also a promising survival city builder automation game in RTS-ish style.
I'm really enjoying this one. So much to come.
Great new game my friend...keep going with the good vibes.
Thank you very much.
Good start.
Thanks.
Great starting guide! Hope the algorithm works well for you for this one
I appreciate it! Thanks for watching.

You are going to love it.

I look forward to your comments. I recommend you do the tutorial first if you aren't going to watch yet.

I played surviving mars and it is good. I'm sure you will find this different enough but have a look at he next couple of episodes.

Absolutely. Thanks for watching.
yea! A new game. Let’s Get Stuck In
It's good fun. Enjoy.
thanks
You're welcome!.
Hmm sad, I did not see this demo come up a while ago.. oh well, I can watch :)
The early access release is on 15 July. This is the full feature version which has a lot more content than the demo. Thanks for watching.
Great video and the game looks interesting. One problem though. There is no day-night cycle on the moon. The moon does not rotate. There is a dark side and light side.
I have been trying not to comment on that. Thanks for watching.

if there is a ni sound in aluminum there should be another i after the n no? either way for a ni sound to be there isn't there a letter missing? lol
Aluminum is preferred in North America, whereas Aluminium is the spelling preferred in the United Kingdom and most other English-speaking nations.
@@surtrplays Even in Dutch, Belgium and Netherland It is Aluminium.

Why are you building so many poles, you can connect most stuff directly to the elevator at the beginning, Those are resources you are going to need.
I should have reorganized them but I never got to it.

Agreed. The Devs are bringing out updates almost every day so they are working on making it better. I'm sure it will be good in time.
