I was just about to ask about the pattern! I used to have a pet rat, and when I saw your gray one with the pink feet and tail, I fell in love! Thank you for the brilliant tip about using the body color around the legs and tail before sewing them on!! I’ve always hated the way they look just attaching them straight to the body, so I’m going to use this method from now on! You just popped up on my feed this morning, and I’m loving my algorithm again lol. Thank you for sharing!

    Possible rats!
Tinsel yarn rat: a festive special perhaps?
Raffia rat: may be a paper cut risk but would be kind of like a straw hat (straw rat?)
Lace rat: thin lace trim for sewing, I've crocheted with it before and it's pretty interesting
    Spaghetti rat: I'm sorry
Sequin rat: I don't know if this is actually possible to crochet with but you get sequin trims for sewing that are a single row of sequins
    Twine rat: twine rat scrunkly
Tassel rat: another sewing trim , I think it would be Very Funky
Paracord rat: this one might really suck to make actually
Chain rat: idk how much the stuffing would show through but I think he'd be a cool punk little guy

First of all, I adore your vibe, you seem chill yet secretly chaotic and that’s a solid mood.
Second, the rat is an icon, they are iconic, they will rule the rat world and take over the universe with ease.
Finally, I have many challenges for you to rat-ify if you dare to accept.
    1. Make a rat out of spaghetti, you may need to learn how to make spaghetti from scratch so you can make a noodle long enough to crochet with
    2. Rat imposter/Cat fur rat. I’ve seen people make yarn from it so might be a fun challenge. If you are allergic, idk wear a mask or something. If you don’t have a cat, I’ve got 2 so I’m happy to send you cat fur 😅
    3. Tiny rat challenge, use embroidery thread
    4. Microscopic rat, use sewing thread
    5. Giant rat, use the largest yarn you can find to make a massive rat
    6. Rope rat
    7. Human hair rat
    8. Old cable rat
    9. That weird craft rope thing that’s brown and sold in the scrapbook section rat (Edit: TWINE!! Can’t believe I forgot what it was called)
    10. The Pom-Pom yarn rat
I’ve got plenty more ideas, some cursed and some less cursed.
Please let me know if you do any of them!

9:13 I feel this rant soooo much, lol Just the other night I was cross stitching on black cloth and I’d used pinking shears to cut the edges. I got to work and was in the zone, awhile later I go to take a break, place my cross stitch to the side and see my legs and lap covered in these weird black things. The fabric had left tons of little pieces all over me. Now I know go cut over the trash and shake like crazy to get any stragglers out. Oh I ended up loving him! His name obviously needs to be American Slice. You should make a rat out of plarn! (Plastic yarn! There’s tutorials on how to make it out of grocery bags.) That would look really unique

youtube is on point with these reccomendations. This little scrubby guy is so cute! One trick I learned for when working with scrubby yarn is to just put a bandaid or second skin where the yarn begins to rub

  • @BellaAnderson-o11o1o
    @BellaAnderson-o11o1o 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

I like the yellow fuzziness. It reminds me of a 🐤. I don't think I'd like touching the scratchy material, but it would be a nice display piece. I like that the fuzz hides the stitches a bit. It looks really cool.
I think that it would be interesting to see a rat crocheted out of black plastic bags. I mean, plarn (plastic bag yarn) is easy enough to make. It's just a plastic bag that's cut into strips so that it makes a loop, then those loops are sort of chained together to form a long strand of yarn. I've heard they weave and crochet mats out of plarn for the homeless. It's just a suggestion though.

If you end up using more scratchy yarn in the future, you can always put a bandaid on the places on your finger where you keep a lot of tension.

Omg I fell in love with your clown opossum pattern, I made one for a friends birthday earlier in the year, I had no idea you made videos!
The little rat came out so much cuter than I expected! I would be interested to see how a faux fur yarn, like Hobbii’s Peacock, would rat. I have only used faux fur to accessorize, not for a main body.

What I find great and also funny about arriving here to this channel, is that because Drawfee (my favorite channel in TH-cam) have so many bits and jokes about rats recently and since their teaser for the 3rd season of Julia's series "Drawtectives" have so many rat imagery, I think the algorithm thought that I love rats so much (which is true) that I needed to see this channel 💕✨🤭 thank you all mighty algorithm god, you delivered once again 🐀💕
