      Thank you for introducing me to pewdiepie, i must have been living in a cave not knowing this song! The comedy u have is immensely appreciated! Still waiting for Part 5. And the connection u describe is worse than dial up connection. I think u need to call AOL customer support.

    Great fun. The tips on settings, curves and external controllers have made sense of a problem I was having. PS: Controlsurface going out of sync with the settings isn't a problem on the MC-808 :P

      Strange Animal If You save the filter freq. into the patch, MC-808 is doing the same :)

    Keeping the resonance below half is a great suggestion , especially with my MC505 , probably would also apply to Fantom XA as well yeah???
    Rock on !!

    Now can you show us how you can use the art voice channel to compress a drum track basically can you use it for other use then vocals

    • @BMRStudio
      @BMRStudio  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      jmizz15212 Films J-jigga in the last episode, we will use everything what we learned... Including outboard effects and instruments.
      But the MC-909 has a nice digital multi-band compressor. Pretty heavy beast to pump up the drum tracks:)

    Hi. How can I connect the MC 909 with mc909 pc editor with midi cable and midi pc interface. My pc interface is Edirol ua101. What I have to adjust. thank you

    • @BMRStudio
      @BMRStudio  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      in the editor, open the midi config and select your midi interface.
      on the MC, just follow the instructions in this video. Super easy. ah, make sure, no other software is using your midi IO

    HOW ABOUT A BMR STUDIO TOUR VIDEO?

    • @BMRStudio
      @BMRStudio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I learnt from old school professionals, works at tv, radio, theater, PA services and books. Lots of books. Ah, and 8 Year as electronic repairman.
      But I'm only a crook rocky hobby guy. Many times I'm wrong. So don't listen to Me seriously.
      My profession and daily job is in construction. Tour??? Watch how we built the studio and the Waves system.
      BTW soon this studio will be demolished, because we are moving to a new beautiful secret location. The concept will change too.

      @BMRStudio so like me you have heaps of Oscilloscopes , signal generators and test equiptment..I had a lot of vintage stuff in the 90s , KurzweilK2500RS, Roland SH5 , etc
      By "Tour" I would like to see your synths , effects, basically you equiptment..
      Peace from OZ.

      Oracle VM virtual pc… then assign your MIDI IO directly to the VM. Works perfectly.

      No. But You can send out the kick on the individual output, and hook up an external compressor to the stereo output! Eh?

      @@BMRStudio thx for the fast reply mate! I am a bit sad to find out the mc-909 doesn't seem to work with MIDI ch 1-16 (or does it somehow?) I'd love to use all the 16 parts in a DAW and go on from there, but it seems you can only do that per element

    • @BMRStudio
      @BMRStudio  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Erik van zanen Sounds weird... I always used the MC 909 as a 16 part midi instrument:)
      The patch editor works only part by part, this for sure, because the special sysex calls, what You can see on the bottom of the software.

      @@BMRStudio If you connect the MC to Ableton Live, and play a Song on the MC, you can see in Live at the Midi In's, that it ' sees ' the MC play the different parts on different midi channels, you can see them blink. Bujt if you set a new midi track in Live, and put it's midi out to a corrosponding channel, that you see in incoming, it won't trigger notes.
      Can you explain to me how you were able to use all parts in a DAW? It would make this a beast of a synth :)

    Do you know if it's possible to bypass having to buy a v link video mixer for the mc 909 ,and run the midi direct into a computer and use a midi support video editing p software program installed on the computer!!??if such a thing exists!? Anybody know!!!!??
    BIG thanks.😊

    • @wynstone7283
      @wynstone7283 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi
      I've been studying the Edirol v-link
      Video mixer that connects to the mc909 via the v link button (bottom left)....thinking that since the 909 came to market and with the advancement of software ..that there maybe a video editing program on the market now that can be midi controlled!?.....if there is a midi controllable video program available...then to my mind it could be midi mapped to the 909 and controlled......in hence bypassing the need to have to use the edirol video mixer!!!...basically the same process of using the mc 909 to control software(logic ,ableton,etc) but controlling video software instead!! 🤔 hopefully that clarifies things!!?........ANYBODY KNOW OF SUCH SOFTWARE??Thanks
      ......i thought you was sending me your email?.... all this JUICY MC909 UPGRADE data that I have for you is slowing my computer down😁 😂..... so whenever your ready YODA !!✊🏽😎

      I managed to find a software program that seem to be able to do what I wanted to achieve! Finding a software program that will connect to the mc909 and basically making the edirol video mixer V-LINK redundant as a means of making videos generated from the mc 909 patterns....thanks

      Wyn Stone I used some software on my gigs 12 Years ago.... It works even with the MC-303. I forgot the name. Something V-mix, VJ-mix?
      The V-link is a special protocol, to control video mixers, sources done by Edirol and Roland. They are kind of outdated compare to the software solutions... such as the Pioneer RecordBox :)
