@@MeneTekelUpharsin prices can be a little random. I got a fully functional mc909 for 400 pounds on ebay. But they go for anything between 500 to 800...I found. I got a second one that I found broken and planned to use as spares....but I repaired it. Bought for 180 pounds due to it not working. Was a cracked motherboard around 25 traces affected. So I did some repair and it was fine. Great machine Imo .....it's only downs are some illogical user interface qwirks....around and it's old so memory and storage are low....due to ages. 256 mb internal memory.
We need a tutorial on the RPS triggering part you're talking about! Sounds amazing :) I also like to use the arp live, you can get really great grooves if you arp a few cymbals
Great episode and very informative. My question is that since I do not have a PC and cannot access the software editor is all of this applicable to the internal hardware interface or only thru the software editor. Maybe I should wait for the next episode to arrive to this point. Either way love ur videos. Not only informative but also comedic as well. Cant wait for the next one!
Everything You can do in the grooveDOX also :) The problem is, if I recording the crappie screen , the You guys can’t see not, just pixel wars... or the spider who just walking on it now :)
Very informative and interesting! I realize now that using a computer along with the control surface on the 909 itself might simplify patch programming considerably. Like the other commenters, I am looking forward to the next part of your 909 synth engine series! In the mean time, I will try making some patches on my own 909 :-) Great video, thanks for sharing!!
Hello...after I install VM, Win 7, MC909 editor 1.22, USB active, extended packages..etc, I can see in the MC909 Editor receiving midi in (input signal blinking) BUT when I try changing the sound of the tracks it gives the message: "It appears that MC-909 is unconnected or connected incorrectly. Please help me if you get some idea of this. Thanks again ;)
Great video - a real eye-opener of what can be done just on the general page. Looking forward to your next installment already! What's the space movie? SPACE 909?!
Paul Barton the movie is a old, craptacular Hungarian SCI-FI from the 80’s. In the Communism, we aren’t allowed to watch any space kind of movie from the west, so the Hungarian TV (MTV 1) ordered and made “this” The title is : Adventures of Captain Pirx aka “Pirx Kapitány Kalandjai” We, as kids, we loved this “thing” so much, because we find inside many household items, russian toys, and regular tools used as “spaceships”, “aliens”, space stations”, “weapons” etc... so we did the same in the kitchen.... So original, so cheap, and so funny. It’s just warming my heart :) I always want to be Captain Pirx, until I realized, I can’t fly with a egg toaster....
Hello and thanks so much for this series about mc909. Do you know if the osx editor can be found? I have tried Roland pages and some other pages but seems to end on a false file not working on OSX...or am Im missing something? I’ll appreciate very much your help.
Rolando Camilo You need to do a virtual Windows XP, or 7 in Oracle Virtualbox, then assign Your USB-Midi adapter to the VM, then launch the MC-Editor :) or buy some 50$ laptop....

Rolando Camilo check the MIDI settings in the software! And switch off the MiDI soft trough options.... If Your VM is correct, then You must see the Midi interface in the setup. We can do some Teamviewer session to figure out, if You want...
BMR Studio , I’ll appreciate very much if you still can hel via team viewer...please tell me when it suits you better. My email: rolandocamilo@gmail.com, ph(wa):+358447335032

Can you use the editor while your DAW is open too ?
Peace.
with COPERLAN yes. You can rend receive midi via multiple hosts and targets. Just dont send sysex and notes together...
Where is the mac version of this editor??? I just got one and I can't find anywhere just windows exe
No MAc version. You should run a Oracle VM with Windows XP, or 7, then attach your midi device directly, exclusive to Your VM.

Cyberdyne Systems model 101?
Just go to 32:10 you'll thank me later... ;-)
What ?
2 videos I still not seen any knob move...
Nice videos but for my point of view, less talk and more show how to do it...
Piss off and take your point of view to another channel then..simple.
