He had a pretty easy check-call on the river. But the 1.3x overbet really polarised Badziakouski. He's saying he has boat or nothing. B went for max value against Daniel's straights, but he has basically no bluffs going 1.3x pot on that river given the action. Great laydown by Daniel!
The only bluff I think he can have here are the 2 combos of 76s. Get Daniel to fold an overpair, any T, J9s. You wouldn't turn a 5 (or a T) into an overbet bluff like this. In terms of value he has 66, 77, 88, 99, 87s (3+3+1+3+2=12 combos). I don't see how 1.3x pot is anything other than exploitative, rather than GTO.
Although if B is GTO balanced and works in something weird like 44 or A4s into his bluff range here, then I really like the 1.3x. But I don't think he does and Daniel knows this, that's why he made the correct fold. OR if B has a very loose/aggro image, then 1.3x for exploits is great. Other than that, I think 1.3x is a mistake against a good player.
It's not really nuts if there's a better hand, though. It may be the top straight, but with a paired board there's never a "nut straight" or "nut flush", right? In this hand, pocket 8s would be the nuts.
He’s had really bad luck with straights in the passed I love how he went from laughing and giggling then got all serious once the river hit he knew he might be beat
So he wouldn't have if the value was better. He would have called like we seen him do before even after guessing his opponents hand. In this case the bet on the river was to high for him to do so.
Notice that split second Daniel Neg was laser focused on reading his opponent when he saw the board pair. Its just years and years of playing, he has seen it all.
I do not like Daniel Negranu but gotta give credit where credit is due. What was even better than the fold was the check on the river . Most people would have bet then folded. He check folded which is a double whammie

Ridiculous fold. Daniel makes some of the sickest televised reads / laydowns anyones ever seen. You would be surprised at how many hero folds Phil Hellmuth has come through with as well.
I'm not sure how great of a fold this is. I think it's an easier fold if Daniel value bets the river and gets jammed on than if he just check the river, and the guy bets 1.3x pot after it checks through on the turn.
New to poker here: how come he had the full house even tho he only had a three of a kind? Are community cards added to complete the pair? If so does that apply in all cases for example of you had a pair of jacks and the community cards showed a pair of 8’s would you have a two pair?

why didnt daniel bet on the turn(4th card)? Since he was likely to be ahead at that point of time (with jack high straight) and protect himself from a potential fullhouse.
I hate that Daniel doesn't have an inner monologue. So many tool bags at 1/2 NL talk so much during hands now to grandstand because they saw Daniel do it. It seriously slows down the game.
Some people just enjoy to think out loud, and Daniel's one of those people. Of course, some people just try to be like him, but a lot of people do it because it genuinely helps them solve problems by spelling it out loud. Sometimes things just seem more obvious when you say it out loud than when you just think about it in your head
what you say bro ? he talk so loud what he think then he will maybe have a reaktion from the player. thats absolutly nice what he do. he is for the next time in the head from that guy. that so good. and what is with the time ? any player have time cards. the new timebank rules are very good and so mutch faster then befor ! and the last point is, its not a difference to play 1/2 NLH or highroller MTT... the decision must be ever right. when you dont do it, you play -ev

Daniel is my favourite! So nice and fun. And he reads so good I can not believe it.
That's why he is the best player in the world and i'm playing at home online with fake chips
why didnt daniel bet on the turn(4th card)? Since he was likely to be ahead at that point of time (with jack high straight) and protect himself from a potential fullhouse.
how much coke did Daniel do again? Great read though either way...
intra morph He doesn’t do coke.. he’s just naturally energetic. He’s a vegan and healthy eater there’s no way he’d touch that crap
Makes for great TV and is great for Daniel's reputation. Of course we don't hear about the other ten reads that he got wrong.
He's also gauging the reaction of the person he is opposing too. Talk has its value when it comes from.a wise mouth.
The fold was kinda stupid cuz the chances for Daniel to win were a lot fucking more than loosing when he didnt knew his cards. But he maneged to read his hand by the bets he made 👏👏👏 BRAVO Daniel
I’m a new comer to Texas hold ‘em, what I can’t understand is how a straight loses to a three of a kind? Can someone explain. I know the outcome of this match, I’m just asking on the statistics laid it throughout the match. Can someone explain please?
Straight beats 3 of a kind
Real question is where did he get that Goku hoodie from??? I WANT ONE
