@@samsogaugetrains8670 I was above wheel level. It was dimly lit and it was almost like some prehistoric monster sliding by. It was very surreal. I was a train nut back then. I do not remember a catenary. I was standing just a couple of feet from it.
Wow, fantastic tour Sam. your a lucky guy to see all that equipment, and to sit in 3001? Great tour of a really cool museum. I would really enjoy getting out there! awesome video.
@@samsogaugetrains8670as a big NYC fan I must say this looks very interesting! I also appreciate the cameos of post NYC stuff like Penn Central and Conrail as I am a big fan of the latter as well.
I have a vivid memory of being at Penn station as a kid and watching GG1 go by while standing on the passenger platform. Incredibly impressive.
That would be a sight to see!

I Love Hudson's .
NYC Mohawk 3001 deserves a chance to be restored to operating condition someday
I know right
Yeah
Why the museum is located in Indiana and not close by New York?
Awesome video! I wanna go there!
Please do!

The observation car is ex Rock Island, not ex New York Central
Do norfolk southern please
3001 needs to be restored to operate its not a request no I DEMAND IT
Stuff needs to be undercover, or one day they'll just be rust stains on the tracks...
