    I am a real world Airbus pilot with thousands of hours flying the real aircraft and thought it would be fun to have a look at the new detailed simulation of the longest baby 'bus by Toliss as well as the new MSFS a320 NEO. Hopefully you find this useful and it brings another perspective to your simulation. Any thoughts or comments are welcome!

    It is amazing how much satisfaction a non-pilot (like me) draws from essential and non-essential detail rich videos like this, as if my career or the safety of 150 souls behind me were dependent on it! Thank you so much sir for your time and effort in making these videos.

    Practice, practice, practice. That's what's I'm learning with this new fenix. I thought "I'm comfortable with the FBW, this should be an easy migration." No, I was wrong. The fmgc is a beast in on its own to learn. "Manual" before flight discontinuity was a new one for me, figured it out finally, the autopilot is different, but these videos help....a lot! It is worth it to turn off atc and traffic and just focus on learning the aircraft. I'm finally in my first good flight, but it took rewatching these videos over and over. Thank you again 320SimPilot! The immersion is setting in just nice.

    Always a wonderful insight into the operation of the A320. I'm just totally blown away by the level of system depth that Fenix have provided us. Flying it in MSFS feels like I'd be earning myself a type rating on the actual aircraft. Haha

    I loved the part covering the failure and how to deal with it manually (as well as automatically). It would be awesome to have more of this, e.g. a video series going through all the failure possibilities and how to fix them (if possible). I'll look through your old videos to see if there's an equivalent on X-plane just in case.

      It's so that if you manually extend the gear you don't lose your steering hydraulic pressure. On some older airbus models the hydraulic steering is connected to the green hydraulic system, which is disconnected from the gear when you manually extend the gear. "Newer" versions have the hydraulic steering connected to the yellow hydraulic system to let you steer the plane on the ground.

    I had an ECAM warning about high brake temps on the A32NX once, after takeoff. Bit of a mystery as it was only one wheel. It suggested I consider leaving the gear down to cool the brakes, which I thought a bit iffy because of the enormous amount of drag. I did it all the same, but it was surprisingly ineffective at lowering the temperature. In the end I gave up, put the gear away and got on with the flight. Nothing caught fire, fortunately.

    The FLS option in this aircraft is set up to do either FLS or FINAL APP depending on option selected. You can't do an RNP (AR) with FLS so you have to turn it off in the options. Toliss have the more modern version where the aircraft has both but on the PERF APP page normally it will say FLS/FINAL APP and you select which one if you're doing RNP but will be FINAL APP only if doing RNP (AR)

    I thought the main reason for the switch from G to Y for the NWS was because if you did a gravity extension due to gear failure or loss of green pressure on the older aircraft you'd automatically loose the NWS (because you have to shut off green system to the gear). But if it's on the yellow system then you can taxi off the runway yourself because it'll still be working

      @@320SimPilot Can you explain why i have the Fenix showing "fuel auto feed fault" displayed in the ECAM when im in a longer flight? Is this a normal thing that always will happen when its getting low (200 kg) in fuel in the centre tank? I have researched a bit and find that this warning appears when centre tank is below 200 kg and the innertank/ wing are above 5000 kg. But as it is always draining the centre one first, i come to the conclusion that this warning message will always appear if this is the case? It dissapears when i use the "manual switch mode" as instructed, but i dont quite understand the workings and why it is not automatic as well. Do you have a video on the fuel system topics, procedures and ecam warnings? It would be much appreciated :)

    One question: When at cruising altitude in managed mode and getting close to T/D I'll set a new alt by turning the alt knob. But I don't get blue armed ALT. And the AC will not start to descend automaically when passing T/D. When trying to pull the knob once again to confirm managed mode the AC will start to descend before T/D.
    What am I doing wrong...? :-(

    A few questions, if you don’t mind:
    A.) Do the taxi lights shut off when the gear is retracted?
    B.) when you lose an engine, say to fire, and secure it, why is ignition kept on? I realize power is shut off from the fire panel, but is the ignition kept on simply to make sure the one good engine cannot flameout?
    C.) what is the rationale for the side stick being depressed up to 80-100 kts?

    Is FLS used for LPV approaches? This would be a different approach. LPV vs LNAV/VNAV. Same approach plate but different minima’s and therefore could be interesting to buy by airliners.

    • @tomstravels520
      @tomstravels520 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. FLS is still limited to LNAV/VNAV minimums. For LPV minimums the aircraft has to be capable of using SBAS and using the 5 digit code seen on charts with LPV minimums. On Airbus this then allows for an SLS approach. The Toliss A321Neo can do this
