If Ring of honor do a 20th anniversary show in Chicago next year. I got a feeling Punk turn up there do a angle with there hottest heel act for free as a favour to ROH.
@Cat TV I was thinking the same thing. Most of their talent has moved on to other promotions so they may have the space and budget. Punk (although he had some choice words for the ring work of D'Angelo Dinero/Elijah Burke), Joe, Andrade & Vega, maybe Tessa & Daga ( if WWE hasn't secured her already) and a few more free agents could add more visibility. Add in the talent-share agreement with ROH and maybe throw MLW into the fold and there could be more product growth.
He said he wanted to work with top quality people. Will Osprey used his influence to bully a girl who spoke about his friends sexually harassing behaviour, if that's what Punk considers top quality people then he has a strange gauge.
The problem is that Punk decided to try UFC out, and he got smoked by 1 guy that was an ok fighter, but lost to a guy that he was supposed to run through. This is why Pro Wrestlers were always told that if they got into a real fight, then they better win. He lost credibility in toughness. Nobody wants to lay down for him. That's the problem.

Even New Japan would be potentially br a problem from the thing he mentioned they said to him before: "Too big for Juniors, too small for Heavyweights".
That has to be an old story. He's probably about the same size as the 3 most recent IWGP champions (Naito, Ibushi, and Ospreay). All 3 used to be juniors. No reason he would have to be constrained to the junior division now. Those 3 aren't the only examples either.

He's definitely tough. He just can't compete with people who've been fighting and training their whole lives. I have little doubt Punk could probably smack up some nobody who tried to test him. And lest we forget he finished a match with a fractured skull. I know people have gotten through worse injuries than that, but that's still damn tough in my book.

AJ Lee is writing the sequel to 47 Ronin, a movie that lost around 50 - 75 million dollars. The movie was a one and done story so this sequel will probably have a budget of less than $10 million and probably still be a bomb.
Him getting his ass whipped and humiliated still hasn't humbled him. The dude is a sore grudge holder and he knows hes actually been getting phased out. Ironic how in those pipe bombs he called Cena a phony, I guess hes one to.
The thing about CM Punk, we've gotten Kurt Angle, Edge, Goldberg, Shawn Michaels, Samoa Joe return when WWE needed a boost and it barely moved the needle in the long run, and those guys were super over during their prime, he's not gonna change anything if he returns, he's just gonna be a big ratings bump then people will realize he's just good on the mic and his character is perfect to fight whatever WWE is turning into, but when he wrestles, he's just like Good Brothers for Brian, there's really nothing to them other than their past accomplishments
It would have to be NJPW, especially with him talking about wanting to wrestle Will Ospreay, and the fact that there's a lot of potentially great matches with fresh opponents waiting for him.
New Japan could offer quite a bit of possibilities for Punk. The Will Osprey match. A match against Kenta... GTS vs GTS. Joining the Bullet Club. A match with Juice Robinson. Koda Ibushi. The list goes on and on.
I all ready knew this but him saying "and it's never coming back" just drove it home that wrestling just sucks now, but with that being said I feel pretty fortunate I grew up through the Golden years and those memories are priceless.
Say what you want about Punk but he seems to have had no difficulty finding projects outside of wrestling since he retired. I'm sure he might consider a comeback if they offered him true baller money (though even people like Brock don't really get that in wrestling), but outside of that there's no upside for him unless it's something he would want to do for fun.
Let's face it: the current state of both modern wrestling and modern horror is wacky in the manner that the majority of shows and films are lackluster(with something really good popping up every now and then) and that the fandom is too way-out-there and detached from reality(with film fans frequently claiming that they either "never heard of this film"[that is either well known by the older generation or was just released] or that a once poplaur[or recently released] film [that didn''t meet succeesful finishes] is "underrated").

No way there's that much free space on any of Punk's body-parts!
I like Cornette but Punk’s comment that Triple H needed to work with him was inaccurate. After Punk left Triple H worked with Daniel Bryan and they absolutely tore the house down. The truth is neither one of them necessarily “needed” to work with the other on that Wrestlemania card.
Its a direct quote from a Punk promo to triple H in the build up to their match at night of champions in 2011 when punk was at the absolute height of the summer of punk
"I don't need to work with you, you need to work with me"
Yes AJ is writing a sequel to a movie that grossed 150 million, but it cost near 225 million so by every standard it was a huge flop
@Iron L good point
Corny probably thought it made $150 million over its budget. I don't think he looked up the thing on Wikipedia.
Im honest ; i was a Big Big Fan of Cm Punk ! He was my Favorite Wrestler in the WWE; i wanted that He Return after WM 30 or 31 but now; i don't want to See him in the Ring anymore. Too late Specially when the WWE has AJ Styles and Seth Rollins and the WWE has No Planes for Them.
If Ring of honor do a 20th anniversary show in Chicago next year. I got a feeling Punk turn up there do a angle with there hottest heel act for free as a favour to ROH.
I could see Punk and Joe appearing on the show, wether that be for a match or just a segment.
Why would Phil Brooks "do a favor" for fucking Sinclair Broadcasting???
Punk doesn't strike me as a guy who's gonna do anything for free
ROH ? thats some funny shit
@@stepkickking9868 imagine punk and joe on commentary for Roh tho
It’s a pipe dream and they couldn't afford him but NWA.

I think it's going to be with njpw. He's been talking a lot about Will Osprey, and it would be the most fulfilling storyline for him

CM Punk is of course a real talent in the wrestling world, but the illusion is somewhat shattered now. Hard to believe his character is so tough.. when we all saw his "fighting" in UFC.
Guess everyone from Chicago isnt a badass after all.

Ironic how in those pipe bombs he called Cena a phony, I guess hes one to.
On the UFC game he was there with the lower stats, I felt just a reminder "wrestling sucks" for their audience.
I think the fans would be disappointed. Punk hasn't wrestled in a long time.
“You know sometimes the times not there, the times not perfect” god that is the mantra of the wrestling business
New Japan could offer quite a bit of possibilities for Punk. The Will Osprey match. A match against Kenta... GTS vs GTS. Joining the Bullet Club. A match with Juice Robinson. Koda Ibushi. The list goes on and on.
I would like to see CM Punk and Samoa Joe....that would be good.
I want a program with him and Balor. Pretty sure even Punk expressed some type of interest to it

The humiliation of the UFC fights still stinks up the air, sorry. Never should have done that in the first place.
Was never a fan of Punk tbh. Overrated and arrogant in my opinion. Btw last time I saw him he was getting embarrassed "real fighting" it's funny as hell acting like he left the limelight looking like a peach lmao
