Damn your 6’2 😂 I’m 6’7 and my sister told me to drive her to the airport now I know ima going to be squished
Enjoy my friend 😂 you won’t be able to get out of that car quick enough. Tell her payment is required 😂😂 Good luck man, thanks for watching!
The bronze is not as appealing as I would've liked in person.
How long before the manufacturers have to file bankruptcy? 2025 I predict.
I'm coming off a 2022 F-150 lariat lease. This thing has a sticker 77,000. My next truck will be a 2022 frontier S, which will be my fifth Nissan truck in my life.
Well done! I just don't think I could live with a CVT. The fake gears are just that. Fake!
They certainly are strange to get used to if you’ve had normal gears your whole life like me. When I drive any car that has them it definitely is a little off putting. We’re trading in my girlfriend’s Honda HR-V for a Mazda CX-5 soon and the CVT is one of the reasons we’re doing it even though the car has been very reliable. Thank you for watching!
@@CEALLIFORNIA I just read where the soon to released KIA K3 GT will be a CVT only, but one of the normally asperated trims below it will have the choice of a 5-speed manual. It just make me realize how little they know about consumer's. Anyway, I was going to consider a GT after looking at & driving one. I won't buy a CVT, under any circumstance. I'm retired and my driving will only be as an enthusiest.
I like the Municipal shoes a lot. Very good quality, very comfortable and cushy sole while having a lot of stability at the same time. $180 is a lot for sneakers so I signed up for their VIP email list and buy stuff whenever they send an email with limited time 30% discounts, which equals a $54 discount on the shoes. Well worth it.
I also always am excited when the coupons hit my inbox or it’s a sale! I’m still using mine and love them, I use them for my workouts at home a few times a week and they’ve been awesome, very supportive like you said and good quality, thank you for watching, I’m glad you’re enjoying them!
Great video. I need to know if anyone has been experiencing any weird smells coming through the vents on their brand new 2025 equinox? my wife purchased a brand new equinox 2025 about 3 months ago and every now and then for a brief few seconds, she would smell a fume like smell (best description we have so far) and then it goes away and its back to regular car smell. This only happens when the AC is on recirculating, temp medium and fan speed on medium. We brought it to the GM dealership and they replaced the cooling fan (mind u this is a brand new vehicle) which reduced the smell drastically but there are still faint smell every now and then. We don't know what we are inhaling and despite our efforts, the dealership still doesn't know what is causing the smell since they can't seem to replicate it so we are documenting everything to give them, since it is still under warranty. If anyone out there has just bought a chevy equinox LT 2025, please let me know if you have the same issue and what was the culprit and the fix please. This is driving us crazy. I know if this was a BMW and we were having these issues they would have probably done more for us.
I’m sorry to hear the news, I wish there was some knowledge I could offer on this 😕 I suppose you could still give it some time to see if the smell goes away even though it has already been quite some time. If it bothers you enough you may have no option but to trade the car in unfortunately even though that would be really inconvenient. I hope you can get it sorted out, I’m sorry that’s happening. Thank you for watching!
@@CEALLIFORNIA thank you. I was hoping that someone may have bought the suv and may have some insight into it. I guess not
Thanks for this video. Very thorough and detailed and I appreciate that a lot. The Nissan Titan is a totally underrated truck. It has everything anyone would need in a truck. Always heard the seats were super comfortable. Dual pano, natural beefy v8.. Rear locker is sweet too!! I’d go for the XD to get the 6.5’ bed. Just maybe I’ll trade my 2nd gen tundra for one on day
Thank you very much for the nice words, I try to go the extra mile for you guys if I can! I don’t think that is a bad game plan seeing the way that Toyota is going nowadays. I hope you can get your hands on a nice one in the future, thank you for watching!
…okay, what happens when you can’t afford this either? We walking now?
Maybe just buy an Elevation trip model I suppose 😂 Thank you for watching!
I got this car today on my birthday and let me tell you, I have no regrets at all, it's a very fun car to drive in it and super smooth I love it!!!! 10 out of 10 it feels like a Handa car in the late 90s early 2000s, it's just a fun car to drive in all day!!!!
@@Gamer_Live_Studio Happy Birthday! I’m happy you’re enjoying your ride, you hit the nail on the head. The interior is so refreshingly simple that it does have that blast from the past feel. I hope you had a good birthday, it sounds like you did! Thank you for watching!
if you don't let it warm up its hard on the turbo an you shouldn't turn it off Especially if you have ran it for awhile let it idle acouple minutes to let it cool an when you first start it you what to give it time to suck up some oil
Even after warming up for 5-10 minutes the truck is still hesitant after pulling away from a parking spot. I never had this sensation in my 3.5L EcoBoost. I just don’t understand why it does this. Will be getting a replacement for my truck soon though! Thank you for watching!
I have the 2022 350 with the Fsport exhaust and air intake. Sounds really good and a bit faster other regular 350's. I beat stock 350's by a car length all the time lmao
Heck yeah! People underestimate what a simple air intake and exhaust can do to a car, thank you for watching and enjoy your IS!
i have this car and i absolutely love it…..the only thing is that my gauges look slightly different….but no complaints….
Glad you’re enjoying it John! Really is not a lot to complain about in this car, the interior of the full blown 350 F Sport does look better than this “Design” model’s does, but man what an awesome car overall! Thank you for watching, enjoy your IS!
Just picked up a fully loaded 2024 Pro4x in Baja Storm Color. It has a panoramic Sunroof, full leather heated and cooled front and rear seats. Fender Audio, power sliding rear window. LED-Power folding side mirrors , heated steering wheel and tons of other fancy features. Love this truck. Super comfortable seats. Man oh man the V8 is the cherry on top 💪🏼
Talk about LOADED, the amount of features on that are insane and you got such a unique color, I love it! The seats are so damn comfortable, and that V8 is a wonderful thing to listen to. I’m glad you’re enjoying it, thank you for watching!
I have a '24 IS350 AWD (F-Sport) and your driving impression is spot on. The V6 is a gem of an engine, and will be gone in only a couple more years when the IS switches to a (rumored) 2.0T hybrid. BTW I noticed that you still didn't go full throttle on the second pull when you were on the on-ramp, as the redline is around 6600 - 6800, it gets even more exciting if you let the engine wring out. As for the interior, people love to look at pictures, videos and think that they know how the interior must feel like and declare it outdated and cheap, but the second they actually sit in one (or own one), they change their minds. If you can find an actual F-Sport (not F-Sport Design) with the Circuit Red interior to review, you'll notice several differences such as the much sportier F-Sport seats, aluminum pedals, F-Sport gauge cluster, etc. With the pop of the red Nuluxe added to these things, it'll dramatically change the look and feel of the interior. You'll never want to step back down from it to the base model or even the F-Sport Design models.
No you’re right I definitely didn’t. In the dealer cars I try to keep at bay so I don’t get myself into any trouble 😂 But I knew it definitely had more in it, what a fun, FUN car! The full blown F Sport is definitely a whole ‘nother ball game, the interior of either the Design or the F Sport are both fantastic, it’s quality you can FEEL! Thank you for watching, I hope you enjoy your IS for years to come and definitely hang onto it! Thank you for watching!
@@CEALLIFORNIA Thanks man. I know the IS350 isn't the fastest in its class. Its competitors are the 330i, A5 (rebranded A4), C300 - all of which have a 2.0T engine - and those are slightly faster. To this day, I don't know why the 350 is being compared to the M340i / S4 / C43. But if the speed difference is a few tenths of a second from 0 - 60 mph, then I'm sticking with the Lexus for the build quality and reliability, and that V6 sound and throttle response. The plan for my '24 IS350 is to drive it for a very long time, it's not going anywhere for at least 8 - 10 years if not longer. By then, these cars will no longer exist in their current form, which is added incentive to stick with that 3.5L V6.
Great Review 👍🏽 New Subscriber!
Thank you very much for the kind words! Thank you for watching my review!
@@CEALLIFORNIACould you do a review of the 2025 Buick Envision Preferred and/or ST?? Appreciate you.
if i could find one with v6 limited with less than 80k i would buy it!! let me know if you know of one, im in oregon
There is a white 2010 Limited V6 with 79,000 miles for sale in Pasco, WA at Bulldog Motors that I just saw on Car Gurus. Just do your due diligence to ensure it’s a good buy before purchasing, looks clean in photos! I hope this helps!
are you selling?
This particular one isn’t mine but I wish it was, it is an excellent daily driver!
i have a 2004 limited, I still love it!! 160k
I hope it continues going for you while you look for a replacement! Thank you for watching!
Had an ‘08 V6. Regular maintenance. Easy to work on as a weekend wrencher. Still running with 180k. Only major repair was a water pump last week. Everyone else in the family has gotten an 08-12 escape/mariner. I passed down my 08 in the family. I ended up buying a 2010 again today totaling 4 in the household. Last reliable ford made IMO
The last Ford I was really confident in was my 2014 Ford F-150, the 3.5L EcoBoost was bulletproof as well! This was from the same sort of generation of Ford so it makes sense. I think I had about 167,000 miles when I sold it. Was a great truck! Thank you for watching, I hope all of your Escapes and Mariners continue to run great for years to come! I’m still trying to convince my sister to get one! 😂
The softtex material I learned is not Leather but a vinyl sadly. The steering wheel is leather.
The steering wheel does feel great in the hand, I knew something was different about it. Thank you for clarifying and thank you for watching!
Does either one have laminated glass?
I did some research and couldn’t find any answers online. However, the windows on my own personal 2021 Silverado are tempered, not laminated, so I’m guessing it’s the same case on the new Colorado/Canyon. Thank you for watching!
I may be the very few people who still like this dinosaur. yes!
I’m glad I’m not the only one, still a beautiful car in this day and age. Thank you for watching!
Well what kind of idiot will purchase a 4 cilinder TRUCK, of course shit is gonna go wrong. V8 is the only way to go if you want a reliable truck. Who gives a shit if its a second or two faster than a v8, (which I highly doubt) no 4 cilinder car will ever be more potent than a v8.
I recently leased a 2024 Lexus IS350 F Sport after my Infiniti Q60 was totaled. While the Q60 was faster, had a superior Bose sound system, a front-facing camera, and was impressively reliable (only costing me $3K for a stabilizer in seven years), I’m really enjoying my new Lexus. It may lack the speed, the touch system takes some getting used to and it might have a sound system that falls short, but it makes up for it with stunning design, the smoothest ride I've ever experienced, and the most comfortable seats of any car I've driven. Despite the three-month wait due to limited availability, I’m very happy with my choice.
I’m glad you gave Lexus a shot and I’m glad you’re enjoying it so far, it really is such a beautiful, fun car to be in. Thank you for watching and enjoy your IS!
15.38 4x4? I thought this was a 2x4
Yes this was a 4x4 model, they don’t have a sticker on the bed side, but a badge on the tailgate instead. Thank you for watching!
Lexus is absurd for refusing to update the interior to at least have the new Lexus Infotainment system and design. They're selling 2012 technology for 2025 prices. That's disrespectful to such a beautiful car... especially when the other Lexus cars have had these things for 2+ years now.
That is true, like when I got in the Lexus TX, the tech in there certainly feels a little different. Even with the very outdated tech inside, it was such a refreshing, low-tech experience in the age where all we see is screens all day. So while it’s unfortunate to not have top tech in a luxury car, it still is a lovely car to spend time in. Thank you for watching!
Kinda tired hearing this. The more tech that’s in a car the faster it goes to obsolescence and the faster the value goes down and the higher the repair bill when it breaks. The greatest asset of a car is the reliability of the engine and transmission. Most ppl are paying crap tons of money to maintain the broken tech in their car. The reliability of the Lexus system is what maintains the value so high after years. How far are you driving that you think the infotainment systems needs to be better ? Mercedes has a better tech system but the cars aren’t worth anything after 3-5 years. What are ppl buying cars for these days 💁🏾
because it's an amazing car and this generation are best Escapes ever. Much better then the ugly "Kuga" that replaced it. 4Cyl is reliable and very simple with soo much space when you need to access anything in the engine compartment! This is the last generation of real cars, equipped with pretty much everything you need and not plagued by any of the downsizing (which results in less reliable overly complicated weak engines with often much the same fuel efficiency), nonsensically oversized display and other pointless things in cars these days.
You’re 100% right, all this downsizing and turbo charging of engines and yet year after year I don’t see any massive changes in MPG, if at all like you said. Plus, like you mentioned, these engines that have been down sized and turbocharged often have more issues. I wish this Escape still existed, really was the last of the real cars. Thank you for watching!
Love the old-school interior. I look at screens all day ... last thing I want is a huge screen dash in my car. Love my IS350 F Sport, Best car Ive ever owned.
I’m glad you’re enjoying your IS! You’re 100% right, after we stare at screens all day, seeing some actual gauges is kind of cool. Thank you for watching, I hope you enjoy your IS for many years to come!
How did you know you needed a new throttle body?
@@fredp8388 I didn’t know until the truck showed up to the dealer on a flat bed and they finally gave me a call a couple days later to let me know what they found, and when they said throttle body it was the last thing I could’ve expected, although they didn’t tell me what was wrong with it, they just said throttle body. I was just glad it was still under warranty. Thank you for watching!
I was looking and Mazdas and Subarus. I saw a pic of the 25 terrain and equinox and loved the more boxy look. I test drove an Activ and was pleasantly surprised. Debating getting a killer deal on a 23-24 or saving for a lease on a 25
That’s a hard decision to make. As much as I’d love to get a great deal on ‘23-‘24, that general body style has just been out so long that to me it just looks a little “stale” if you will. I think the ‘25 is worth the wait but the depreciation will certainly be higher since incentives aren’t really being offered much yet. Also the Mazda CX-5 with the N/A 2.5L is a wonderful option as well. Either way I know you’ll enjoy your new ride, thank you for watching!
I suggest buy 24 without cvt. I have 21 equinox so far so good with 48000 miles.
Yo bro maybe in future try to do a side by side comparison with the 300 and 350 Cheers
I would’ve loved to do that, but this day the only IS I could find on the lot was this 350, so I had to improvise unfortunately. I would love to see the 300 in person to see how different these two really are. Thank you for the idea and thank you for watching!
GMC looks better but the Chevy will get you A LOT more bang for your buck
The Chevy does deliver a lot more bang for your buck, I can’t argue that, can definitely save some money getting the Colorado and still have a great looking truck at the same time too. Thank you for watching!
Was the seat exit assist on? That’s where when the car turns off the seat moves all the way back, that could’ve made rear legroom seem artificially bad
@@hayden93 I don’t know for sure, but I know I did have seat all the way back when I was sitting in front, and I leave it in the same position when I get out so viewers get an idea of the car’s actual spacing. Still not a terrible back seat, could definitely make it work, thank you for watching!
Does the hump give you a hard time when you drive? As I’m looking for is 350 AWD as they are only available model (no IS350 RWD any dealer here), but I’m afraid that hump will be a deal breaker.
@@atsawinthongsumak57 To me it’s something that I could get used to as it’s not quite as impeding as it looks at first glance. I did like the BMW setup better, and how the floor is more open, but I wouldn’t cross the IS350 off my list for that reason, it was such a blast that I can definitely look past that minor point. It didn’t really get in the way while driving because I was resting my knee on center console, so naturally your leg just arcs right over it by a small margin. Thank you for watching!
@@CEALLIFORNIA Thank you so much. I think I should get used to as I haven't seen much complain about that hump, just noticeable and I agree with you on BMW, the set up is one of the best but they don't make NA 6 cylinder anymore unfortunately.
from owning a 2021 is350 the hump really doesn't bother me im guessing it will depend on the drivers height but im 5'6 and short legs and it doesnt bother me, you might feel the vibration of the transmission or sometimes it might get warm but nothing you can't handle
I drove one of these trucks at the Texas State Fair and was impressed by the immediate availability of power. I am considering buying one if prices continue to come down. I wonder if there has been any common reliability issues on these turbos or the engine/transmissions.
Yeah the power for having a 4-cylinder under the hood in a full size truck is way better than you’d expect! Personally I’d say the best year to go for is 2021. Right before the refresh and the engine was already in production for a couple years. The new high output 2.7+ that is in the 2022+ models is simply too much power for that engine to handle, and owners are having issues with them because of it. Thank you for watching!
Great review. I appreciated the time you spent on all the little design details.
@@claudiu60077 I’m glad you enjoyed it, thank you for the nice words and thank you for watching!
These cars are fn tanks. I wish ford made anything even comparable to them. And no the bronco sport with the ecoburst engine is not comparable since there’s no chance they’re going to last as long
They sure are, I still love them to this day, you still see a lot of them out on the road! And I agree, that Bronco sport will be lucky to make it to 20-30% as far as these Escape’s did, they’re just not built as well unfortunately, but at least they’re nice to look at 😂 Thank you for watching!
I had a great Forte GT with the turbo in the past. It was zippy too. Now I got thus model. But for less horsepower it's still pretty quick. I believe it's because of the dual overhead cam(DOHC). A lot of 4-cylinder back in the the 90s n 00s had that DOHC it's still pretty quick. The lxs has a more comfortable ride than the GT trim. Because of the size 16 inche wheels and tires. They go over bumps in the road so smooth. Unlike the GT those 18 inches you'll feel it a little
Yeah I’ve always liked a larger tire profile myself because the roads aren’t the best where I live, plenty of potholes to look out for. The LXS really is super zippy/quick for what it is. I would gladly daily drive it! Thank you for watching!
No bed liner sucks
I agree, for what they’re charging for trucks it’d be great if it was included. I can’t have a truck without a bedliner personally, it just doesn’t make sense 😂 Thank you for watching!
Intercooler? 0% credibility
That’s my bad, I took a guess and my guess was wrong. I figured this would have one since it’s a pretty strong V6. My apologies, thank you for watching Gedward!
No intercooler on this vehicle as it is naturally aspirated. 1:56
@@betoservin2030 My bad, figured this would have one since it’s a pretty stout V6. Thank you for the insight and thank you for watching!
Where's the Fsport gauge cluster?
This one is just the F-Sport Design, so it doesn’t have the cool gauges that the straight up F-Sport does. Thank you for watching!
all things tipical for anything from general motors especaly chevy and i've started driving them in 1969 ; I did figure out how to fix your cold start and rough running when its cold .........does it hesatate at a stop light ? i tried everything to get rid of that , finally i drove mine into a ford dealer and traded for a ford. that got rid of all those problems .
Haha! You made me laugh! Thinking of making the switch very soon with winter coming. It does do that little hesitation when first pulling out of parking spot even if truck has been running 5-10 minutes. Thinking of upgrading to either 2016-2019 Chevy/GMC 2500 6.0L or 2019+ Ram 2500 6.4L, both seem to have great reviews. Thank you for watching and enjoy your Ford, they’re great trucks!
I’m thinking of buying one of these but not sure about the engine size. Would the 4 cylinder be better on fuel consumption or would the 6 cylinder be better ? Reason I’m asking is because wouldn’t the 4 cylinder have to work harder then a 6 cylinder to move all that weight ? Very good vid thanks
Thank you for the nice words! While the 4-cylinder you think would be better on gas, it probably is just about even or has only marginally higher fuel economy than the V6. I wouldn’t let fuel economy get in the way of what engine you’ll choose, but personally with my knowledge of all the Escape owners I’ve seen here, they all seem to have really good luck with the 2.5L. Thank you for watching, good luck on the hunt for your Escape!
I just got the 2012 v6. I recommend that by far. Has plenty of power for what it is. Many people were surprised. But it definitely takes plenty of gas thru the city with a bunch of stop and start lights. I love it though. Very nice
Gloss black plastic does not belong on any vehicle, let alone an off road truck.
You’re right about that! While it is pretty for a pavement princess, any off roading will surely show “pinstripes” very soon on that black paint. Thank you for watching!
Funny thing is Nissan frontier base model price higher than Toyota Tacoma
If the Frontier is a little more I think I’d still pay it just to get that awesome V6. Thank you for watching!
Personally, I prefer my 2.0 turbo. I've test driven the 1.5, there is a massive difference in HP and TQ between the 2. Prior to the 2.0, Chevy use to offer the option to get an Equinox with the sporty 320hp V-6 which was the most powerful of the engines offered for the Equinox. For whatever reason, they decided to pull that engine and only use it in the Traverse or Blazer which was really disappointing.
Probably EPA fuel requirements.
The 2.0 is way better than the 1.5 like you said, there’s really no comparison. It is such a fun engine, and while I miss the V6 being offered in the Equinox, the 2.0 was a great engine to have in the lineup, so it is sad to see that gone now as well. I just don’t think the 1.5 is powerful enough for the Equinox, then again the Honda CR-V is no speed demon either, so it’s not the only one in this class. Thank you for watching!
Probably should have advertised it more. I honestly forgot this existed.
Same here! After so many years of no updates and minimal advertising like you said, this truck really did fall to back of mind. I wish they would’ve put more effort into it, because it was a great value in the half ton space. Thank you for watching!
I have a 2012 Limited ford escape i love it great SUV Go Ford!!!
Happy to hear you’re enjoying your Escape so far, my friend is still having good luck with his, wishing you many more years with it! Thank you for watching!
