    On the topic of red water
    Blood Falls was discovered in 1911 and has been red since then, so it's not out of bounds of possibility that some cave has had red water for 25 years even if unlikely.

    • @russtyhoward-m3f
      @russtyhoward-m3f 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sigh, waters being "Red" is not an uncommon thing, some can turn that color and stay that way for a Century or more. It is from minerals being "leeched" out, but it's not from Iron, or rather not just from the iron ores. A few things are required for the water to turn this color; the water itself must be either highly Acidic, or highly Caustic (to the point where the ONLY possible life is bacterial / viral. a higher or lower PH value, than even the hot springs in Yellowstone national park. And NO, not even Algae can live in it). The metal ores required are Chrome, Iron, Mercury, Tin, Lead, and Arsenic. A few other chemicals are present as well, in either higher or lower concentrations. You "normally" only see it as "Leachate" from tailings. However certain small creeks in the Eastern US, look like this if there were a lot of small mined out claims in the surrounding valley, the creeks drain from.
      Of the more common "colors" you tend to see in such waters, Red is the least common being followed by Sulfur Yellow, Chrome Orange, and Copper-Sulfate Blue. Since the water itself is highly Acidic / Caustic touching it WILL leave burns to any exposed skin. Amusingly enough, in a sad sort of way, such creeks/ run's/ streams ALL could qualify here in the US, as EPA "superfund" sites. But have never and will never see any cash being spent to clean such up (To "cover" them up YES, to clean them up NO).

    Heres some things you missed:
    Fallout 76 has another "Interloper" / person turning into tree, that is way smaller and located underneath the Whitesprings resort near the Chinese Base
    Tanagra Town (A few houses that seemingly were raised from the ground by roots) has a cavern system with a Metal Head at the bottom
    The Enclave Oil Rig was decorated with the Heads (so its fair to assume they were involved atleast somewhat)

    • @plutoniumrocks
      @plutoniumrocks 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I think there was a shift in the meaning behind the metal heads between the classic games and the Bethesda games. The heads seem to be more involved with the American government at large. (EX: the ungodly amount of them in the capital), Bethesda thought they looked creepy, and it's snowballed into the whole eldritch mystery we have today. I think some of the more recent level designers for the expeditions seem to be more of a fan of the classic games to some extent. Since the areas are a lot more similar in design and aesthetic to those games.

    Probably already been said. The thing skeleton in the maw is a humpback whale (maybe with some artistic license). The "tusks" are the lower jaw that has split, this is a common mistake even made in real life when whale carcasses wash up. So it is most like a reused asset from far harbour. All this stuff just tells me that there are still people with passion that have some influence at Bethesda, that people who still care are able to push little bits of genuine effort and talent into this setting. Perhaps hope exists still, or perhaps I'm just a wishful thinker.

    • @NinjaDimes
      @NinjaDimes 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      If you actually ever play F76 there's a lot of love in it, it's clear to me the devs have always loved it and tried really hard to make something good. It's a shame the launch wasn't great but there is and was TONS of lore, and all the locations are almost all real places, for example, Helvetia, Pumpkin House, Palace of Winding Path, Morgantown, VTU, Whitesprings, which is based on a real US place in West Virginia called the Greenbrier, which IRL has a bunker underneath. They put a bunker underneath it in Fallout 76 too. There's more. It's more than abundant to me that the devs sat there and tried to make a rich map and they obviously still care with the inclusion of stuff like Organ Cave which is pretty recent. So they never really lost the passion, honestly. I would say that 76 is definitely a labor of love. Yeah they have the cash shop but you don't have to look at that stuff and it's all cosmetic. You can instead pick a section of the map and just fall down into a quest rabbit hole (Order of Mysteries is a fun one). Etc etc. It's a worthwhile game in my opinion.

    • @SonicsniperV7
      @SonicsniperV7 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      @NinjaDimes From what Ive seen, it's mostly been the higher ups directing the developers to do the stuff people haven't like. For example the devs all though having no NPCs was a bad idea but weren't allowed to do otherwise.

    • @CraigStrein-o1s
      @CraigStrein-o1s 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@NinjaDimes I wish that were true about it being a labor of love. But you are forced to look at the cash shop items all the time as part of the issue with 76 is that it is multiplayer and you have random instanced players with bases filled with that store junk riddled all throughout the map. In addition the repetitive missions and always annoying nukes being set off (which is super non-cannonical) hurt the immersion. I think of it as a game which you could love but for its faults caused by the developer itself. It is filled with random advertisements by way of crap fortnight adjacent emotes and cash shop cosmetics and 4th wall breaking moments which makes it hard to stay immersed (the main reason most players engage with the series of games). I tried it and disliked it even years after launch because of all this. Being able to experience the writing and environmental could help if they did not paywall a private server (offline) option as that would solve most of these issues. I wanted to love it, but just could not. I would say all this lore you have to try to hard to reach to make it worth it with all that crap in between, like reading Steven King's IT, but with magazine adverts every 6th page and Better Health non-skippable video ad rolls.

It uses a different model than the creature in the Lucky Hole Mine but the two do feel connected. 11:40. You are clearly wrong on the assertion that the underground ruins were built by a lost civilization. it's clearly reminiscent of both old-style Virginian and Maryland architecture. Marble columns in a pseudo greek style. That's all over the place in fallout 3. Just look at underworld. Not to mention, you say this while showing a normal, contemporary, coffin just sitting there. 11:47. Probably didn't get put there by the swamp folk. Cool video, but this assertion was rather wildly erroneous, in my opinion.
    Edit: I forgot to mention, this was probably an above ground mausoleum that got swallowed by the swamp.

    Fallout 4 was the first game I played from the series, when I went through Dunwich for the first time I realized how much more is probably going on behind the scenes. Been hooked on the lore ever since.
