They get giddy, almost childlike. Playful. Excited and upbeat. Like there’s an extra spring-in-their-step. The eyebrow high raise and big smile (sometimes a little laugh) plus standing tall-shoulders thrown back/chest out (sometimes even to the point of standing on their toes real quick) when you meet up. That to me has always been the tell-tale sign. I think it’s actually involuntary. It can’t be avoided as it will just occur. Other times they get severely blank looks on their faces, and don’t say or do anything else. ‘’Deer caught in headlights” type look. Like they just melted inside- computer down and back-up emergency run is slow. Sometimes this is followed by hiding themselves behind something, if you know what I mean. (No offense meant in mentioning..I find the nature of man beautiful and there’s no shame to it.)
Oh, wanted to add as well…. Some can get VERY mean and VERY cold, like they are trying to hate you with all their might, and they don’t even know you at all to have such a reaction. (You just met) These guys either are married and are trying to instantly demonize you to prevent any other emotion to get through because that’s all they know to do to stop it, or they are guys that have serious problems with sexual urges/love-as in, they actually hate women and see them as bad or something to be controlled, overtaken, conquered. They see you as evil or bad and resort to instant aggression because they are attracted and they don’t have enough inner resources to fight both battles at the same time…the battle is actually within them, gets projected onto you and the weakness they feel within (which causes more shame) they blame you for. Just give these folks a lot of space. Grey rock it.

I stood back and watched his interactions with everyone else and I could never work out if he was genuine or acting the part. So I figured I would probably never know and would always be on my guard, always unsure. It's a pity because he was the quintessential nice guy. But then that was his job, to charm the ladies and some of the men too! Sooo........... And after a couple of romance scammers, I'm still single. Find it very hard to trust now and it shows through in my interactions. They tell me straight "You have trust issues". But I just think to myself "well you guys planted that seed in me". Prior to being scammed and treated badly by men online, that seed was never in me. I was always open and trusting, which is how come I got done over in the first place.

I'm in the Same situation right now...and I'm encouraging myself to be brave and ask the guy I like at my job *he's a year younger than me, I'm 21* but it takes courage and trust in yourself. Two things I've learned to be good at. So I would say if you can/care to...just ask him. You'll feel better about it. I'd go even so far, as to say that not doing number 2 (adjusting pace) is a red flag. As in not just by itself, but as a sign of otherwise fundamentally lacking the ability to "walk in her shoes", which will later on in a relationship become an issue, in a detrimental, not constructive way, not the pace, but the ignorance of the physical differences of the sexes.

Don’t look to them for security. Just focus on enjoying their company. You are better off working on yourself in the meantime than waiting for one of them to advance their interest in you. If you are feeling insecure now, these insecurities only get magnified when in a relationship and then it can cause you more grief. Don’t get too hung up or hold them to anything. I suffer from managing expectations too and am realizing that unmanaged expectations can start to create resentment which can poison the existing friendships that you may have going with these guys.

My crush at uni slows down his pace for me, he also tries to catch me after class. He stares at me, blushes at me, thinks I'm funny (I've made him laugh), he makes me laugh and smile A LOT, he makes eye contact, he changes his routine for me (walked a way he normally doesn't but I do), but he's never been stupid in front of me aha. A guy I like always does all these things for me and everyone else cos it's his job!

But it's his job! The only thing that stands out to me is he occasionally asks weird personal questions that don't quite fit the circumstances.
I instinctively feel he likes me but I know so little about him and I don't know how to ask those personal questions in the context of the situation because it wouldn't be proper at work.
We move in completely different circles so I'm stumped.

@@sandcastles3490 Hi, well I never did take it any further. I was never sure enough. I stood back and watched his interactions with everyone else and I could never work out if he was genuine or acting the part. So I figured I would probably never know and would always be on my guard, always unsure.
It's a pity because he was the quintessential nice guy. But then that was his job, to charm the ladies and some of the men too! Sooo...........
And after a couple of romance scammers, I'm still single. Find it very hard to trust now and it shows through in my interactions. They tell me straight "You have trust issues". But I just think to myself "well you guys planted that seed in me". Prior to being scammed and treated badly by men online, that seed was never in me. I was always open and trusting, which is how come I got done over in the first place.

What is good advice for two people who have been friends for years and do like each other but are too shy to approach it
He does favors: My first day of work (cashier) he came to me with a list of codes to help me learn. He was just another cashier, so that's how I first noticed him. We text right now (a year and a half after that) and he is always sort of offering favors (a ride, a place to keep my stuff if I move out).
The guy I like and I are both cashiers and ever since I mentioned I didn't like being at the register all the time he has taken it upon himself to be up there almost all the time. Once when customers were fighting in front of my register he asked me if I wanted to stay at register. He also has been mirroring me and saying stupid things. Okay so, this guy is always looking at me and we've talked a couple times, and when I'm around him he seems nervous and he laughs when I say something, but hes wayyyy out of my league, and the other day we walked side by side so I slowed down, and he did to so then I sped up and he copied, but I just feel like it was a coincidence so like, help me out?
I have noticed that the guy I like will communicate with me through signals and body language. He also will insist that he be up at the register all day because he knows it stresses me out. Another thing he does is when one guy who comes in and buys tons of VHS tapes he will take over and ring up all the VHS tapes there are usually 74 to 94 VHS tapes in this old guys transaction. The thing about this customer is he stresses my crush out as well. He often maintains eye contact with me. His pupils are often dilated when he is around me. I have also caught him checking me out from head to toe.
I don't know Matthew were older but he brings me home a nice dinners for both of us he provides and he he's special he makes me feel right in life he's more better than me

I get all of these signs on a daily basis just by running our shop and post office. It is sometimes hillarious to watch my senior customers making eye contact with me or leaning more on the counter to see my cleavage (for example). I do tease them from time to time. I have a coworker who when we met had told us many people think he is flirting because he is natural friendly and fun person. About 2-3 weeks after he and I started talking more and he would joke around with me and I even said it was very middle school. As time went on I noticed him and I would run into each other more and more. In the hall or observing each other's lessons. I recently have found him staring at me from across the room, since I'm also trying to find him. I have come to have feelings for him but I keep hearing in the back of my mind: "I'm very friendly to everyone, it often makes people assume I'm flirting when I'm not".
On the day before break he did end up giving me a hug after an emotional day at work but I took it as him being kind..... Anyone have any ideas? Any hints? I've watched so many videos and some things he does others he doesn't. Idk what to do. HELP PLEASE. All advise is helpful.
wishiwastheretoo13 hey, I'm not sure if you're still interested in an answer. I'm not even sure if you still know/talk to the guy but if I had to give any advice...id say just ask him. I'm in the Same situation right now...and I'm encouraging myself to be brave and ask the guy I like at my job *he's a year younger than me, I'm 21* but it takes courage and trust in yourself. Two things I've learned to be good at. So I would say if you can/care to...just ask him. You'll feel better about it. And that way, you won't have to look up a thousand videos for answers when the person is right there. Good luck and blessings to you. 😋

He imitates my laugh and says he loves it, comes to pick me up at the airport, even though he lives clear across town, even though he had people in town, put my new light fixture in my bathroom because he knew my friend was coming from Scotland, and he bought it for me, bought me four bags of groceries from Trader Joe’s when I was on a big job and I was exhausted, paid for my dogs haircut, I guess I got a nice guy, ....
I'd go even so far, as to say that not doing number 2 (adjusting pace) is a red flag. As in not just by itself, but as a sign of otherwise fundamentally lacking the ability to "walk in her shoes", which will later on in a relationship become an issue, in a detrimental, not constructive way, not the pace, but the ignorance of the physical differences of the sexes.

But the sad Thing is that tha guy might like me, but might not want a relationship with me. The same happens with me with other guys. I like them and love spending time with them. But in the end of the day I not with them in a relationship because I feel that I dont have the security I want
Don’t look to them for security. Just focus on enjoying their company. You are better off working on yourself in the meantime than waiting for one of them to advance their interest in you. If you are feeling insecure now, these insecurities only get magnified when in a relationship and then it can cause you more grief.
Don’t get too hung up or hold them to anything. I suffer from managing expectations too and am realizing that unmanaged expectations can start to create resentment which can poison the existing friendships that you may have going with these guys.

1.) He's talking to you in the first place.. Most guys are only "friends" with you because they see you as a potential mate/dating partner. Don't be fooled women. Most guys want you in bed. If he's talking to you in the first place, there's a 99% chance he wants to date you LOL

I've noticed that one guy in particular, who I got the impression liked me kind of did the whole 'avoiding me on purpose' & 'ignoring me on purpose' thing on some occasions, a bit like school kids do, until I made a point of interacting with him. Like he was uncomfortable around me & wouldn't talk with me for long & would start to shuffle around.
