  • Emperor Nader Shah, the Shah of Persia (1736-47) and the founder of the Afsharid dynasty of Persia, invaded Mughal Empire whose territory stretched from Kabul to Bengal, eventually attacking Delhi in March 1739. His army had easily defeated the Mughals at the battle at Karnal and would eventually capture the Mughal capital in the aftermath of the battle.
The Afsharid occupation led to price increases in the city. Some Delhiites attacked and killed several Afsharid troops during the riots that broke out. Nader Shah retaliated by ordering his soldiers to carry out massacre to both muslims and hindus alike throughout the city.
Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah & his retinue, notably Nizam Asaf Jah I persuaded Emperor Nadir Shah to end the massacre in exchange for Mughal treasury, along with its precious royal jewellery and peacock throne was taken by Nadir Shah. Soon Afsharid troops heading back to Persia with its abundant loot to deal with Ottomans & Russians in Iraq & Caucasus.
This sack dealt the final blow to the already fractured Mughal Empire, who cannot recover for the next century.

For European observers, the collapse and fragmentation of the empire in the hands of rival dynasts, confirmed a narrative of decadence they had only too enthusiastically dismissed a few years earlier, as Nader Shah had been characterised as the new Alexander. Now as his successors fought over his legacy, Nader Shah was once again reduced to the caricature of the Oriental despot, a salutary lesson to all of the depredations of arbitrary rule.

Afshars, being one of the 24 original Oghuz tribes, are a sub-ethnos of the Azerbaijani Turks. Natives of the Azerbaijani branch of the Afshar tribe were the founders of the Urmia, Baku and Zanjan khanates, as well as the dominant tribe in the Karamanid emirate and in Iran during the reign of Nader Shah Afshar.
Opinions differ on the classification of the Afshar language. Some attribute the Afshar language as a separate language to the southern group of the Oguz branch of the Turkic languages. According to others, Afshar is a dialect of the Azerbaijani language. Afshars themselves call their language "Azeri". Distributed in Iran and Afghanistan.

After fully uniting Persia, Nader Shah Afshar decided to expand the country's borders and create an empire. He marches first to Afghanistan, then to India. He captures Delhi, captures Bukhara and Kharazm.
Emir Timur last visited India, reached as far as Delhi, but was unable to capture India as a whole. But Nadir Shah conquered India, where he was paid 700 million rupees a year. There was also a stone called "Kuhi-nur" ("mountain of light"), which is considered to be the largest diamond in the world.
Thus, according to the agreement, the right tributary of the Indus River, ie the western flank, joins the entire territory of the Afshar state. This is the first time that an Azerbaijani Turkic ruler has done this, that is, no Persian king has had direct access to the ocean before Nader Shah.
It should be noted that Nader's conversations were in Azerbaijani, in the Chagatai-Eastern Turkic dialect. In a letter to the Ottoman sultan Murda I, Nader Shah said: "Either let's completely muslimize Russia together, or guarantee me that you will not attack the eastern borders." The Ottoman sultan does not guarantee this.

Nadershah one of the best Iranian Warriors Afshar Is Iranic Kurdish(Kermanji)Tribe not Turk proof👇👇👇
So far, different meanings have been said about the word Afshar, which we will not repeat because they are far from the science of terminology. But the word Afshar is composed of two components: "App" (F) + "Shar" (Shawl). "App" exists in the word "officer" (above the head), "separation" (high) and… .. In English, up means high. "Shar" in Kurdish means "scarf". "Afshar" means he has a head scarf on his head. It is thought that the Afshar people did not have their hats and hats. It is one of the ancient Iranian customs to wear a scarf on the head (headband)
Our Elamite ancestors - Mehdi Khorsandi) and the ancient king of the Kurds (Goths) is also depicted without a hat and with a headband (History of the Medes - Diakonov - Page 111 - Ninth Edition) and this is the Kurdish origin (Iranic) Afshar Is a marker.

At present, the history of the Afshar state and its founder Nader Shah Afshar has a special place among the complex.
In any case, at least as the Azerbaijani people (south-north), we do not have accurate information about Nader Shah Afshar (1688-1747), one of the greatest statesmen and thinkers in Turkic history, and the Afshar state he founded. Because as a result of what Anglo-American, Russian-Slavic and Persian-Iranian imperialism instilled in our minds in the last two centuries, the personality of Nader Shah Afshar, the Afshar state, is reflected in completely different shades in the books "National History of Science". One of the main reasons for this, and perhaps the first, is that Nader Shah Afshar was of Oghuz Turkic.

Nader Shah's invasion of Delhi led to the weakening of the Mughal Empire. Which was a great opportunity for the revival of the Indigenous Hindu Kingdoms like Jaats & Rajputs in North India. Which led to not only the end of a Foreign Turkic Dominance over India but also the reestablishing of the Hindavi Swarajya or Indian Self Rule by Maratha Empire & later the Sikh Empire. 🚩

Today, Russian historians of independent Azerbaijan write: "Nadir Gulu Khan, a representative of the Afshar tribe of Azerbaijani origin (he did not have the courage and objectivity to speak Persian), spoke Azerbaijani at official receptions." In writing this, they also draw on the 18th century Armenian historian Abram Kretasi. Cretasi writes that Nader Shah spoke with the Armenians in Azeri (Turkic). That is, all this is a sign that the main language of the Afshar state was Turkic.
Finally, what relation Nader Shah has to the history of the Azerbaijani people, especially to the history of statehood, and to what extent there is a connection between them - these are not only academic questions, but also fundamental questions of historical consciousness.

Since the XIV century, the Azerbaijani language has been official of the population of northwestern Iran. During the reign of the Safavids, Afsharids, Qajars, it was the language of the court. The Azerbaijani language was spread in the large cities of Tabriz, Qazvin, Isfahan
. The Azerbaijani language was spoken by the army of the Safavid state, consisting of Qizilbash, which led to the unprecedented prestige of this spoken language. The Azerbaijani language was spread among all classes throughout Iran . Adam Olearius wrote that the Persians actively studied him. Azerbaijani was the language of the missionaries of "state Shiism" . The Iranians taught their children the Azerbaijani language .
The French missionary Sanson, who lived in the Safavid Empire from 1684 to 1695, stated that the Iranians regularly appealed to the spiritual strength of the Shah, using expressions in Azerbaijani such as “qurban olum din-imanım padah , başına dönüm".
