I have this exact one but labeled Maxpeed, lol. I love how the baffle comes out so easy, because I leave the baffle in with the cap removed, but when cruising town I take it out, takes 2 mins. Sounds MEAN without the baffle.
Good vid I, got that Ransoto slip on for my Ninja 300 and ride baffle out. Definitely good pops and bassy. Way better to be heard instead of the factory 💯
Thank you, my slip-on was branded Anodising Racing and was from eBay but was almost identical (slightly different interface between the can and the adaptor pipe). I'm leaving the baffle and the plug in for now, it's a Deliveroo bike and I don't want to attract any more attention to it than it already gets (30th Anniversary Edition), especially from the local constabulary. Your video was really helpful but I don't think you need to use the springs with mine at least. Sounds much better than with the stock 😁
Great video my thoughts are about the same riding using the baffle without the plug to me is a great match thanks you made it much easier to purchase one right now.
I recently traded in my Honda Forza 300 scooter for a Ninja 300. I have basically the same muffler but mine is called Speed Park. I bought it for the scooter but never put it on. My Ninja came with this short little tip on the end of the pipe, basically like running it wide open with no muffler at all. It was horrible. So loud it hurt my ears after a short ride. I got the mid pipe adapter and put the muffler on with no baffle. It sounds good and much easier on the ears 👍
Just ordered this for my versys. Having custom work done on the exhaust with slip on. Good video, covered all the points someone should consider. Well done, stay frosty

@@nmarz77 It sounds a whole hell of a lot better than stock. They don't make slip ons for that year 250 anymore so I had to make these work. The springs don't line up, but the tension from the mounts holds everything in place.

I wouldn't mind spending the money on a good exhaust but there just no middle ground in price theres either cheap like ransoco $60 or companies like Levince at like $200 up
Leo Vince is the middle ground bro. Real performance systems like Yoshimura, Akropovic and Austin Racing are 5-6 hundred for a slip on, honestly this ransoto is kinda junk but just my opinion. The carbon isnt even real its a plastic vinyl. I wouldnt get anything cheaper than the Leo Vince they are actually good quality but im buying the Yoshi Alpha myself, just sounds way too good to pass up. You get what you pay for. Another good option like Leo Vince would be Arrow, check them out as well quality brand.
Bought a similar one for my zx10r. I still thought it was too quiet without the baffle. Acctually drilled the rivets out and gutted the insides. With the regular tip and found it too quiet still. Thinking it needs a bigger opening so I'll probably take the tip off
I took my baffle out with that one screw at the back and heard something fall in the exhaust ? Was this the “plug in” or another screw in the baffle that fell in ? I just unscrewed it and pulled out the baffle 🤷🏾♂️
I wouldn't call it a huge difference. Definitely a little quicker and more refined. The 300 is much better for highway riding. But the 250 feels much lighter, and I prefer the breaks on the 250. I know because I have a 300 and my girlfriend has a 250. Great starter bikes
