- If you thought stripping a Porsche 356 down to a bare shell would just involve taking every component off it, you would be halfway there...
These cars were also covered in a type of under seal and anti-drumming/vibration mat. Unfortunately to get the car to a bare shell this also has to come off!
In this episode my dad and I are stripping out the engine bay of Trouble (my Porsche 356) and my mum is under the front left wheel arch.

I’m literally counting the days until we get to see the full body sand blasted and down to bare metal! I can wait to see how much of the original remains and what the body work will begin from! It’s like beginning from an almost blank canvas once more 🙌🏾 ⚡️
We’ll get there soon 👀 as a teaser/trailer not much remained….😭
When oh when will the body work start?!?!
Your mums HIRED! I’d give her dinner too! Nice work…enjoying your journey 😀👍👍
😂😂😂 she doesn’t stop! So great full for all her help, she really does the hard bits…undoing the fixings is the easy bit 😂
I did this on mine not too long ago. Still have a little bit of the firewall to do but also ran into the same issues with heating it up in a garage space. Looking forward to seeing if you decided to acid dip or media blast body before starting on metal work moving forward :)
