You two are, my new favorite couple to watch on motorcycle travels. You're a lucky man to have someone like that. To ride and travel with. I really enjoy watching your videos. Yall are so positive and Nika is always smiling. It brings me happiness watching you guys on th e open road being happy. Like that when I'm not doing longbtrips on my motorcycle. I am a hard-core rider as well. I just need to find me a girl like that to enjoy it all with.
Great video, can't say how much I enjoyed it because it was very inspiring. I recently went went on a weekend MotoCamping from San Jose,CA to Yosemite National Park. But Thanks for sharing
So size matter ! longer video makes a very good immersion into your world...Nica is more and more looking like a 21st century Emilia Earhart `(looking like her too), you've got the right angle to make your adventure pleasant, fun and appealing . you've got fans! cheers
Hi young folks...... Glad to find your channel ! I love motorcycle travel, and am so pleased to watch these videos, especially when it's a handsome young couple(compliment to you two). I'm 64 years old and have been riding on one or the other of the 11 motorcycles I've owned since getting my license at the age of 18........ Never an accident in 46 years of riding BTW, and for one reason in particular. Will get to that soon, as advice. which brings me to THAT subject, and I hope you'll heed my words. FIRST, I live near Atlanta, Ga. and have owned a 2013 Yamaha FJR1300a, since may of 2013. My bike is nearing 78,000 miles on her clock, and she still has it...... I've made numerous trips, to include three trips to Seattle, one down the coast, one back to northern Minnesota, and one through the Colorado Rockies and home. My secret, not even a secret, but here's how to stay safe....... First loud pipes don't do it. They face aft and so most people can't hear you coming....... Yes that's true. The secret is lights. Bright led driving lights facing forward, mounted about 16-24 inches from the pavement, pointed straight ahead, just like BMW does on their road bikes from the factory. You can operate them any time of the day or night without blinding motorists, yet the motorist who's likely to accidentally pull out in front of you, because your one headlight doesn't register in their mind, will now see those two beacons coming at them. I like the LED lights because they take a fraction of the current that an incandescent light takes. Do the same in the back, with a flashing brake light. Take my word for this, I started doing this when I had my second bike, at the age of about 20, and an old couple nearly ended my life, and she the elderly passenger was so upset she was in tears. We didn't collide, but it was extremely close, and a moderate traffic situation..... If I'd have gone down, likely I'd have been run over. We stopped and he just kept on apologizing, which that and his wife in tears from fright made me feel bad for them.... The lesson........ A cycle has a small much less noticeable appearance than a car, so LIGHT IT UP........ I like my PIAA projector LED driving lights but there's several brands. One thing, don't cheap out, if they're mounted to your forks, they have to endure vibration of many G-forces. You know each of us can use our experiences, to help keep fellow riders safe, and sometimes we meet the people that have viewed our videos, or read and considered our advice. I've never met a motorcyclist, in my travels, that seemed like a stranger. The Lord must be telling us all something.
I don't often comment on any of this stuff on you tube. BUT I have to say, I've watched A LOT of Motorcycle videos on you tube and yours are the very best I've seen, bar none. The photography and the editing are magnificent. As far as I am concerned you two are the best on you tube.
great videos, and I love how you all don't use fancy gear just basic bags strapped to the bikes. Be Safe though. I am not sure if you are wearing motorcycle gear. Joy Machine brings me Joy. keep it coming . Peace from Connecticut
Thank you, that was good! Putting it all together.. real watchable! I will be hoping to see y'all soon on another road trip.. the Oregon coast is particularly satisfying.. just sayin 😎😎
Unbelievable that this channel is so small. I´ve watched your 30 day trip through the US and Canada in full (>2hrs) and loved every minute of it. Keep going and don´t give up growing this channel! BR from Germany , Tobias
Aww, that was so much fun!! You're traveling through my back yard!! I've lived all over Oregon and Washington, both Eastside and Westside, currently retired in a little town called Pilot Rock, Oregon. Sure is fun to watch your videos as you travel through such familiar places!! Great video!!! Thank you!!!
Pilot rock ,been there a bunch picking up bark at the log mill ,use to sleep in my truck there right next to the little grocery store alot ,there was a bar there also.
Great ride kids!! Love it. Like the old diners and eatery's. Up here in Ontario Canada we're losing all those, replaced by the usual fast foodies. Love your channel !
.Let me get this straight: Nikka forgot coffee. On a camping trip. She forgot coffee. A serious, serious dereliction of duty. Coffee when camping is the best part of morning. And Nikka forgot the coffee..... Hope the punishment fits the crime...
I use Bose Noise canceling Ear buds.... the wired ones. They really reduce noise fatigue. Plus I can stream music using a Bluetooth receiver. Or listen to an Audible book. For you two, maybe there'd be a way to use noise canceling buds with communicators. So you can talk to your sweetie while traveling.
The communicators we have do have wired speakers already so no need for the headphones though the noise cancelling would be nice. Might look into the thanks for the recommendation.
I love the sound of your HOG bro!…Thunder bouncing off the hills!…Gurl looks sharp on her ride too!…Been a minute since I last watched yous but this was a great catch up!…Keep the rubber down n shiny side up🙌❤️🔥🌅🦅🙏
Just discovered you guys and beyond stoked. Love what you're putting out! I got my first bike a year ago, a custom Honda Rebel, and looking for my next one to be more like Calen's, ready for camping and long trips. Definitely the dose of inspiration needed to get a strong sense of what I want in my next bike.
Hey, thanks so much we really love to hear that! A Honda Rebel, sweet. I used to have a 78 Honda cb550 and I miss it dearly. Enjoy your bike and thanks for watching!
Ya'll do fantastic with these videos. Always look forward to them. What is the name of the campground at the 30:11 mark? Terrebonne is a couple hours South of me and looks like a ride to that place for an overnight is in order.
Oh for sure, we would absolutely recommend it! It’s an airbnb so just has the one camper for rent. Great hosts, we loved our stay there. Thanks for watching!
One tip. It would be helpful to viewers if you put locations (city’s, towns, camp spots, etc) and roads you’re riding on within your videos so that we can know better your routes and may do parts that we are interested in. Thanks.
It was a gift so not sure where you could buy, but probably can find on eBay. It’s a old Canadian navy cold weather bag with two layers that we split apart
I'm getting ready to buy a bike and travel, what kind of bikes are you guys riding? I have $2,300 for a bike but all I'm seeing are honda shadows and yamaha v's, what's a good bike for long road travels?, I'm a 58 yr old female veteran, ready to see the country but not sure what's a good used road bike, would love to hear from you or anyone, I plan to leave October 1st if I can find a bike, thanks for any help
We are on a 1999 Harley FLSTC and Nika’s Royal Enfield Continental GT650. It’s hard for us to say because we have only had these bikes and a couple old Hondas in the past. A Honda shadow or a Harley sportster maybe would be good options. Thanks for watching and I hope you find one for your trip!
Your videos are the best out there. Inspired me to get one more trip in. Going to leave Michigan on October 20 and head to West Virginia for a week. Weather looks very doable. You two are great together. Nika is a hoot. Safe travels.
I wanted my bike a bit louder because I want cars to know I am near, but the primary reason I changed the exhaust was to take some weight off the bike and to give it a bit more horse power. The ear plugs are also because my helmet gets quite loud at high speeds in the wind.
The old school feel brings back the romance of riding!
Awesome, thanks!

Great video, can't say how much I enjoyed it because it was very inspiring. I recently went went on a weekend MotoCamping from San Jose,CA to Yosemite National Park. But Thanks for sharing

Camp your own camp and I’m so cheap I even get my firewood used had me LOL,
Hahaha
I’m sorry I’m always asking questions. What tent is that ? We were trying to read the logo on it .
No worries at all. The brand is poler, and we love it!
Why are those dead trees upside down in the water?
Hi bro 😎 have a website in USA or eBay to buy your sleeping bag x53 please ?
It was a gift so not sure where you could buy, but probably can find on eBay. It’s a old Canadian navy cold weather bag with two layers that we split apart

Why make the bike louder and then wear ear plugs?
I wanted my bike a bit louder because I want cars to know I am near, but the primary reason I changed the exhaust was to take some weight off the bike and to give it a bit more horse power. The ear plugs are also because my helmet gets quite loud at high speeds in the wind.
Ear plugs are to protect from wind noise, buffeting. You really don’t hear your bike exhaust.
