Hey Jacob, just catching up with your posts, I really like your enthusiasm. Navy guy here, after repeal, I mostly found the training that followed interesting, as mostly everyone at my base found it to be not a big deal. I believe most of us service members, straight or gay, are more concerned with getting the job done as opposed who is gay or straight. I also believe that more young people like yourself, have helped pushed society into what I call common sense, or as we know it to be..equality. Looking forward to more posts.

I share your enthusiasm about Panetta"s action. It's another big step forward. We've come so far in the last 10 yrs, just imagine where we'll be in another 10.

Jacob, while I was thrilled at this announcement, I went absolutely wild when DADT was repealed. I didn't support it when I was in, & was so happy to see it go in the trash bin where it belonged. Thanks again, Jacob, for your service. Be out & proud! Stay strong & safe, my friend.

Yes, things are changing for the better, faster than I ever imagined. But there will always be some people around who are ignorant, stupid, hateful, prejudiced, etc. I think the best thing we can do is to set a better example and not let the fools bother us.

Jacob, thanks for serving our country. I'm also thrilled gays can serve in the military. I have friends who are in and now can be out. I was kicked out of the Navy for being gay. It was crazy as I swear half the Navy was gay.
This video is 8 years old. Why am I seeing it now in 2021. I am a man hating Lesbian.
And it is my hope We can return to this course. When I served we had to hide. We literally could’ve been sent to prison.

Jacob, forget the haters. The world isn't going to Hell it is going to a more advanced state of gay love and acceptance.
I can't see DOMA getting repealed anytime soon, but I can see the Supreme Court striking it down. I mean that would be great and all. I mean just because DOMA is repealed doesn't mean we will have all 50 states legalize marriage equality. I wish it were that easy. But, I mean, I believe the Supreme court will rule that this is a state issue and the states are on their own and they can do however they see fit on the issue.
Unfortunately there are still ignorant people in this world.. Just laugh at them and ignore them. They are losers.

Maybe history wasn't your subject. But that' sin, is just the icing on the hell cake that the people of the world deserve. I don't like to see people get hurt and used, but its looking dire . You should take that extra cash your getting and take a trip to base of Masada. Have fun, live it up. because after that is weeping for the world.

I can see from you're profile image that you support equality for everyone like me, this makes you a civilised. I think the comments made by Reg Devine are horrible, he has no right to post them. Christians preach peace and love for everyone so why should they be able to select what kind of love is and isn't right in the eyes of 'God'/ 'Jesus'. Just left people live, if 'God' is real then we will find out when we die. But until then let people live their lives like they want. Do you agree?
