    Ya'll might be wondering why there's a Chinese warship in the harbour... I have no explanation for this other than that I placed it there and forgot to remove it. Whoops!

    Would have been cool if you had the controls in top left to show what you are doing. I am really struggling to land anywhere that isnt a runway right now!

    Such a beautiful map. Can imagine if it was Vietnam

    On startup: throttle at cutoff, press starter, when n1 is at 10% set throttle to idle and release the starter at 40% n1.

    Great video commander! Have the Huey for 3 years now, but i doubt, that i can nail any of your landings in this video.

    Far & away my favourite module to fly for shear enjoyment. Everything from the sound to visuals & vibrations really put you in cockpit. Would love a Huey 2.0 update from ED at some stage, still looks ok but far off their recent work for me. Also I am still bit baffled by fs2020. I see a number of vids that look not too bad up close, but everytime I jump in I recoil flying low looking at the roads/trees etc even with graphics up & data. I usually don't last long before craving dcs maps again.

      Oh & vid length is fine, enjoy the extra scenery & commentary

      Yeah, agreed! Huey 2.0 would be great!!

      @@CommandT can I ask your hotas setup if don't mind? I have my warthog on desk & find finite movement less than ideal hovering.

    • @CommandT
      @CommandT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lankypilot778 Yeah anything desk-mounted is ridiculous in terms of realism. I'm currently making a video about my hotas set up and flying helis in DCS. Stay tuned :)

      @@CommandT sounds good, look forward to it. Yes I am thinking with an extention you would get more precision but having never used one not sure

    Helis do look extremely satisfying to fly, and as a civilian with no hope of ever flying fast jets, helicopters are a lot more appealing than light aircraft for doing a PPL in real life.
    I’ve held off buying any in DCS though because I too have a Warthog HOTAS and always assumed it would feel quite clumsy without a a proper collective.
    Especially since I still have my stick and throttle situated far too high on my desk rather than mounted more comfortably lower down.
    Buuuuuttt… Hearing you’re using a Warthog too is genuinely making me want to reconsider - especially with the Apache having just dropped…

    • @CommandT
      @CommandT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm about to make a video on using my HOTAS set up and how in combination with VR you have almost mm-perfect control flying helis in DCS. Stay tuned! :) The collective is not the issue but having a small extension for the stick is important.And yes - anything desk mounted is not gonna get you far in terms of realism
