Loved this tutorial
Great video, Aaron - as always. After about 10 years of Photoshop - here is my "Blend If" process: Grab each of the "Blend If" sliders and move them around until the picture looks good! LOL.
Experimentation is always the best way to go!
Great explanation of the Blend If feature! The examples were simple and practical, making it easy to understand how to use this tool effectively. Perfect for anyone wanting to enhance their Photoshop skills. Highly recommend this video.👍

Super good tutorial ... as usual!! I particularly love the color gradient application. It looks and feels so much better than using color toning in Lightroom. Thank you!! Happy Holidays!

Happy holidays!
a how-to use this for landscapes would be super useful to us outdoor people
Thank you very much
Great as always. I was a member of your website, "the best," for a long time. been working for a photographer in California editing models. Love using blend if. Happy holidays!!
happy holidays! Thanks for your support!
Would love to see how blend if works for 3 or more layers.
This is also a great tip for taking a JPG of a logo that's on a black or white background and making it into a PNG with transparency. I find myself doing this all the time when it is all that a client has.
I’ve experimented with blend if before and kinda had okay results but I had no idea what I was doing or why it worked lol. Thanks for this video!
It's amazing tool! Thanks for watching!
The OG - GURU of Photoshop!

how did you scroll down image size by using pen tab?
Hey there! To scroll down an image in Photoshop using your Wacom pen tablet, open the Wacom Tablet Properties, usually found in your system tray or by searching for "Wacom" in your system settings. Within the Wacom Tablet Properties window, locate the section for Photoshop and navigate to the Pen Settings. Under "Lower Button," select "Navigation" and then choose "Scroll." Now, press and hold the lower button on your pen and move it up or down on the tablet to scroll the image vertically.
Try to think outside the box and maybe make something easier for my students - would you use Blend If for a double-exposure effect? If so, recommendations on the two images? Meaning, should the top layer have a darker background and bright highlights and the bottom layer reverse? Or does it matter? I've taught double exposure using masking but maybe this is a simpler solution?
Hey there! Here is how we would create a double exposure
phlearn.com/tutorial/create-an-eye-catching-double-exposure-effect-in-photoshop/
Boom! 😂
The ‘Make it Gooder’ button is getting closer and closer.
I think the gradient example didn't work quite so well because when you change gradients and say it's still coloring the shadows more etc., the problem is you've set the Blend If for the Current Layer, so depending on what gradient you choose, the bright areas in the underlying layer might be dark areas in the current layer... or depending on the gradient colors, everything in the current area might be considered bright by Photoshop, or everything might be dark.
So in this case where you want to show that you can change the gradient anytime and it will always effect the image in a similar way, you should have used Blend If for the Underlying Layer.
Why you don't make videos every day?
We wish we could!

Pls go to the point. Too much round the bush
dumped photoshop but Affinity Photo can do the same just different names and no continuous payment for eternity and Affinity doesn't train AI on my images
