Just about the Twist Contest, this was Travolta's comeback movie, he'd been quiet for a long time, and he was known for Grease and other dancing movies, so him dancing in this was HUGE at the time.
So, some context because I appreciate the realism in the ODing scene. You guys were right, Mia thought the heroin was coke, so she cut herself a line. Now, you can snort heroin, that was not the issue. The issue is the amount of heroin it takes to overdose is so so so so so much less than the amount of coke it takes to overdose. So if you line up heroin thinking it is coke, then you end up doing enough to pretty much immediately overdose.
The script also gets the dealer to say he doesn't have the "propper" container.. Hence Mia got to sniff it Also, the movie also tells the viewer: His thing= needle / her thing = nose.
The pilot that Mia Wallace was in ( Uma Thurman ) was part of the inspiration for the idea for Kill Bill which Uma and Quentin began writing during and after filming Pulp Fiction.

I am an older guy who watched this movie when it came into cinema in '94 - I was in my early 20s. The movies back then created a new way of dealing with brutal violence. Just a few years earlier there was "Silence of the Lambs" where Anthony Hopkins and Jody Foster gave their astonishing performance. Then there was Kalifornia with Brad Pitt - a really underrated movie. Like True Romance which was also written by Tarantino. Both came 93 in cinema. There were several other movies that really did something... different. The music also changed back than - Nirvana killed hair metal and the whole polished industry and musicians had a comeback who were interested in their music and not about style and trends. Early 90s... was a special times. In politics just a few years ago the Berlin Wall disappeared and USSR broke together. There was a lot weird stuff going on but... there was also some hope that the world could become a better place. Actually it didnt but culture and technology really were pushed a lot. PC took over the offices and the first playstation was released also in 94. Maybe cause it was "my time" of the early 20s I put too much into this time period. But maybe... not. Pulp Fiction did have a huge impact on many young people back then. It showed that you could tell a story without the need of special effects or fantasy stuff. Just take some criminals, create characters that seem to be consistent and throw them into weird situations.... and... LET THEM TALK! Its sad that til today diologue is so often done in a bad way. Anyway - thanks a lot four your reaction. Its always a pleasure to see young folks watching these classics for the first time and relive my own experience a tiny bit. Wish you all the best for your channel and your whole life 🙂
LET THEM TALK! I love it Thank you for sharing your experience with this wonderful, ICONIC film and for your support. I wish you all the best too - Niamh 💙
Niamh was amazingly cute watching this. Thanks for introducing her to this, Danny! Favorite movie of all time, for all the reasons you both brought up.
Trudy, the Irish girl in the beginning of the movie, is Bronagh Gallagher. She's a famous Irish singer and actress. One of her best movie was The Commitments (1991) with Colm Meaney. Highly recommend that movie. It was the first movie in the Barrytown Trilogy.
Great reaction to an outstanding Movie!! I saw this when it came out and was an instant fan of Tarantino from then on!! i worked as a massage therapist for about 2 years so i always approached it as a job and not as a romantic thing except when massaging my now Ex-wife!! You two are in my top 3 reaction channels Love you so much!! Best wishes always!! 🙂❤
Great choice, was my first introduction to Tarantino (as with most people in the 90s). Would recommend Kill Bill after this, just cause of the Uma Thurman link, but also those movies are so damn good.
I saw this flick at the movie house when it came out. My 'ol childhood buddy Jon was over at my pad while I was looking at the movie listings in the local paper when I noticed this flick playing within 30 minutes and I yelled out "Jadrich, we can catch this movie if we leave right fucking now. Let's go!" Of course, seeing this on the big screen was fantastic. Enjoyed y'all's reaction. Got to see a lot of the movie... ✌
After Pulp Fiction, you should definitely watch Reservoir Dogs. That's how many of us who lived thru the 90s did it, because Pulp Fiction was a phenomenon that made Tarantino a household name, and Reservoir Dogs was his less popular first entry.
I love how everyone thinks that Mr Wolfe doesn't do anything. In fact MR Wolfe holds the biggest key in that he has contacts. Is able to make a body disappear.
Hi Danny and Niamh I enjoyed your reaction to pulp fiction, I just got a shirt of the movie. My favorite part is John dancing and Samuel doing his speech. Don't know my name is the lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee. And how he cusses after Vincent, an ugly shot, Marvin in the face.😅😂. also, are you guys close to watching Kung fu panda, 2 and 3 and 4 soon

Hi, Guys! My first time to see one of your videos. Thanks be to the algorithm! Amazing reaction to a fantastic film. Well done, both of you. Even Danny for no spoilers! The Irish actress you noticed is Branagh Gallagher. The only other thing I’ve seen her in was from a few years earlier: The Commitments (1991). Irish film about a band. I *loved* it! Believe it holds/held the record for the most “F-bombs” in a film. Niamh mentions that she thought Quentin Tarantino was older. Remember this film is now 30 years old. If you really liked Quentin’s acting in the small, supporting role, check out his previous film that was also an inspiration/template for Pulp Fiction, and that’s Reservoir Dogs (1992). It also has Harvey Keitel (Winston Wolf) and Tim Roth. Features this same non-linear storytelling. Or even check out a film he wrote (but didn’t direct): From Dusk Till Dawn (1996). It also has Harvey Keitel & George Clooney, among others. This one has more feet! 🤣 Bit of trivia: Samuel L. Jackson was given as a gift the light saber he used when acting in the Star Wars universe. He had the light saber engraved with “Bad Mother Fucker”! 😁 Take care & thanks for sharing your fun!
Thank you for letting us know about Branagh Gallagher! I’ve heard of The Commitments but never seen it, maybe one we should add to our list? 👀 Cannot wait to delve further into Tarantino’s catalogue! Thank you for the recommendations and for sharing in our fun 💙
I always thought it would be funny if in the last scene when Jules is quoting that bible quote to Ringo, if at the end Vincent just unloads his gun into Yolanda. And then when Jules says....."WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT FOR VINCENT?!" Vincent......."WHAT??? I THOUGHT THAT WAS WHAT WE WERE DOING!! IT'S WHAT WE ALWAYS DO!!! HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW??!!"

I came to know about Samuel L. Jackson because of this movie. He surprised me with his intimidating lines as well as with his persuasive dialogue with the robber.
You've done his most recent film and his most influential film. I would just go in chronological order from here. His evolution as a filmmaker is fascinating and fun to watch. As a self-confirmed Tarantino nerd, all of his films fall into either the Great Film or Amazing Film categories for me. So, if it's any help, here is my Amazing Tarantino Film list: Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Inglorious Basterds, Django Unchained, True Romance, From Dusk 'till Dawn, and Natural Born Killers (Grindhouse was excellent too, but I feel like it worked much better in the theatres). All of his other films fall into the "Great" category, so they're still great.
On behalf of the audience that doesn’t give a shít of how much ad revenue you make… THANK YOU for not bleeping curses, slurs, etc. Thank you very much. [Like button pressed]
I can confirm this video is not monetised 😂 but in the edit I felt the same that you would lose the movie on some level if I had cut the swearing from this one.
@@CoyzyMovieNight Absolutely. I’m so sick of movie reactors cutting words, lines of dialogue, & even whole scenes (sometimes the best parts) in order to earn that oh-so-coveted YT ‘$’. Censorship-in any amount (deserved, understandable, or otherwise)-diminishes what the artist had originally intended. Thank you for the reply.
@@CoyzyMovieNight That shows real integrity. You chose to do what's right and show respect for film (and your audience) rather that upload an inferior product just to make a few extra shekels. Unfortunately you did have to cut out the best parts of Jimmy's dialogue with Jules and Vincent. You know what I'm talking about. I suspect if you didn't you would have been forced to censor it even if the video wasn't monetized. I hate what YT has become. Ten years ago you could say anything you want. It was what made this site great. Now it is as lame as network television.
I love that Tim Roth's character, "Pumpkin" or "Ringo", has too much respect to refer to his woman as "bitch", even though he's being held at gunpoint and given explicit instructions to use the word.
Kill Bill is Tarantino's absolute masterpiece IMO. But like he writes in that movie, "if you're going to compare a sword, you compare to every other sword ever made... wasn't made by Hattori Hanzo." I'm assuming he wrote that as a way to be like "don't be comparing my movies with one another, compare my movies against all movies by other directors." It's really quite true. Reservoir Dogs is definitely different from Pulp Fiction, but I doubt I could rate them against one another. Reservoir Dogs obviously didn't have as much money behind it or it may have been a fairly different movie. But with Kill Bill he REALLY had the budget to do what he wanted as he'd proven to be so successful, and that story of revenge was the script he'd worked on the longest out of any of his movies, along with Uma Thurman obviously, and it's just iconic and may be my favorite movie I've seen out of everything. I really don't have a problem comparing most of his movies with his others though. I'd say they're all basically equally as good other than two of them, and the last half hour of another. Pretty damn good track record though to have 6.75 out of 9 movies made be completely amazing though. Plus the part he wrote/directed in Four Rooms was great, as well as the criminally underrated Death Proof. Plus True Romance (which he didn't direct, but wrote most of it though apparently disagreed enough with the final script to want to remove his name from it, still a fantastic movie though). Nearly everything he touches is pure gold.
Mia snorted the heroin thinking it was cocaine, that´s the detoning to had the overdose (heroin can be snorted as well, but the most common way it´s like Vincent did, using a needle. Also Mia was full of drugs in that moment). And Vincent goes a lot to the bath, due to he´s an heroin addict, and that provokes you, sometimes, constipation. Even the shot to Marvin´s face, it´s due to heroin, that also provokes you spasms (in this case pulling the trigger).
Not everyone can do a great entertaining reaction to a great movie like Pulp Fiction. And you guys did it, and did it well. Love Tarantino's movies You need to check out Inglorious Basterds by QT. And check out some Coen Brothers movies like Fargo, or No Country For Old Men. Subbed.

I love it
Thank you for sharing your experience with this wonderful, ICONIC film and for your support. I wish you all the best too
- Niamh 💙
I was 28 when I saw it, I was fucking wasted on ecstasy at the time haha, it was fucking awesome.
Niamh was amazingly cute watching this. Thanks for introducing her to this, Danny! Favorite movie of all time, for all the reasons you both brought up.
If you haven’t see Saturday Night Fever or Perfect, Travolta is a world class dancer. So to see him hit the floor again in this movie was a treat!
Pulp is a masterpiece and it changed cinema forever. QT is a Cinema God.
This was my favorite Tarantino movie too! But I must say, Django definitely gives this one a run for it's money as my favorite Tarantino movie!
Great Movie and Reaction !!!
You have to understand the time this came out in the 90’s. It was groundbreaking. It changed cinema..
Thank you soooo much for the support 💙 we’re so grateful
@@CoyzyMovieNight You are most welcome!! 🙂❤
I love how the Irish use the word "deadly" 😅
LUV from across the pond, mates 🇨🇦
Love from Canada. Just you wait until you see Reservoir Dogs
I always recommend watching Tarantino in release order
Great choice, was my first introduction to Tarantino (as with most people in the 90s). Would recommend Kill Bill after this, just cause of the Uma Thurman link, but also those movies are so damn good.
Would love to do Kill Bill, Uma Thurman is fantastic in this one 💙
This is Tarantino´s best, agreed, and close second is Kill Bill 1+2.
“Are you ok?” “Nah man, I’m pretty fuckin far from ok” is my fav line of the movie. So quotable lol
Let's go!"
Of course, seeing this on the big screen was fantastic.
Enjoyed y'all's reaction. Got to see a lot of the movie... ✌
YOUR POP TATRS ARE READY!..............classic line
Great reaction 😆
Awesome reaction to an awesome movie!
Thank you 💙💙💙💙 so much fun
"Your Pop Tarts are ready..." 😂😂😂
When you said you forget about the Y and focus on the what that was pretty great and insightful.
Love your Ladies reactions genuine
The watch story is one of the greatest movie monologues EVER
Thank you, yes those are both amazing moments!! We are 100% continuing with KFP! I can’t give you an exact date right now but I promise it’s in the pipeline 💙
@@CoyzyMovieNight You guys are welcome and I see well thanks 😊 I can't wait to see and I hope you guys see Ghostbusters afterlife to soon , You guys will love the movie🚫👻
See you on the other side !!
Of all the reactions to this movie, Niamh's is the best!
Bit of trivia: Samuel L. Jackson was given as a gift the light saber he used when acting in the Star Wars universe. He had the light saber engraved with “Bad Mother Fucker”! 😁
Take care & thanks for sharing your fun!
Thank you for letting us know about Branagh Gallagher! I’ve heard of The Commitments but never seen it, maybe one we should add to our list? 👀
Cannot wait to delve further into Tarantino’s catalogue! Thank you for the recommendations and for sharing in our fun 💙
@@CoyzyMovieNight All my pleasure; thank you for supplying us with the fun. Would be happy if anything I wrote helps you in any way!
8:19 in the briefcase is the ultimate McGuffin. We don't even need to see it, it's just here to drive the plot forward.😊.
19:34 no she's not dead and don't call me Sherly
45:39 that's some prime McGuffin right there.
Great to see this movie still has impact after 3o years.
Since you are a new channel, maybe you should go into space for the next movie. GRAVITY would be a good start. It stars Sandra Bullock and puts the pressure yo survive all in your head.
I'm new to the channel and hope to see you grow.
Greetings from Kentucky. Keep going and enjoy
I came to know about Samuel L. Jackson because of this movie. He surprised me with his intimidating lines as well as with his persuasive dialogue with the robber.
He was phenomenal 🥹
Love the reaction
On behalf of the audience that doesn’t give a shít of how much ad revenue you make…
THANK YOU for not bleeping curses, slurs, etc.
But like he writes in that movie, "if you're going to compare a sword, you compare to every other sword ever made... wasn't made by Hattori Hanzo." I'm assuming he wrote that as a way to be like "don't be comparing my movies with one another, compare my movies against all movies by other directors."
It's really quite true.
I love how Pumpkin won't call Honey Bunny a bitch. True love and respect there.
Your pop tarts are ready 🤣
'Pop Tarts are ready' lol
Mia snorted the heroin thinking it was cocaine, that´s the detoning to had the overdose (heroin can be snorted as well, but the most common way it´s like Vincent did, using a needle. Also Mia was full of drugs in that moment). And Vincent goes a lot to the bath, due to he´s an heroin addict, and that provokes you, sometimes, constipation. Even the shot to Marvin´s face, it´s due to heroin, that also provokes you spasms (in this case pulling the trigger).
He shot Marvin because he had his stupid finger on the trigger. Basic rule of gun safety.
Not everyone can do a great entertaining reaction to a great movie like Pulp Fiction.
And you guys did it, and did it well.
Love Tarantino's movies
You need to check out Inglorious Basterds by QT.
And check out some Coen Brothers movies like Fargo, or No Country For Old Men.
Subbed.
@18:22 That’s what Mia also thought it was, but it isn’t coke. It’s actually heroin, and you aren’t supposed to snort it.
"Oh, this poor guy.. Go in the back."
*Me, knowing what's about to take place in the back with Butch & Marcellus..🤦🏻♂️😬😬*
Well, he DID eventually go into the back.. 🤷🏻♂️😉🤣
Dear god 😭
@@CoyzyMovieNight 🤣🤣
There are some movies that need the dialogue to be as uncensored as possible. Pulp Fiction is one those movies. THANK YOU very much for leaving in so much of the language.
My mom was not a Tarantino fan. She was a Bruce Willis fan. And she _loved_ Pulp Fiction.
What a great reaction! Finally somebody with personality, with some excitement, with charisma. In another world in another time I wish we could be friends.👏🏼
We’re all friends here!!! Welcome to the channel, I hope you’ll stick around 💙
