It was nice to see the poppies on the church fence but also, I noticed the purple poppies for the animals. That was a lovely touch. Great video as always GM.
Great wee video of my hometown. Nice to see it through fresh eyes. I love my wee town. I agree though that so much more could have been made of showing our heritage. Those wee sculptures in the town centre represent some of that heritage but clearly nothing to explain any of it. That first wee sculpture was a battleship BTW and the last sculpture was in fact a chestnut. That has a twin in silver not too far actually from where you were walking in the fields behind the denny centre. The zip line looking structure you saw there was a remnant of an assault course that wove round all those fields before the high school was built there. The poppies came about during the pandemic. A lovely lady who does loads for the community came up with the idea as the remembrance service wouldn't be taking place, to get the community to make and flood Denny and Dunipace with poppies and it's now a yearly thing.
Aye there was, back when there was a sports pavilion and football pitches where the school sits now. There were still bits of the assault course there in the 90s
Another place I haven't been so thank you! Nice town and countryside. Poppies were lovely. Keep forgetting to say, cool new hat! Like the subtle touches of ginger. Perfect match for the beard 🙂
There are maps on heritage trials around the town . The Park next to the bridge over the carron has detailed heritage boards. Recommend on next visit you go to Carron Glen , especially when Bluebells are in bloom around April & May .
When is je doing Oban? Or have I missed it? He seems to not have done lochgilphead yet either. Helensburgh is run from there. Although it hopefully falls into a hole.😮
I do have to giggle when I see non-horse people around horses. There's a whole part of me that really wants to see them ride, but then there's the more logical side of me that knows it may not be the best experience for them or the horses. I love your videos and I love the fact that you're so open and honest about a city - it really does make a huge difference when a person is viewing Scotland as a potential place to live. I've been asking myself where it is that I want to land, and to be honest, your old hometown of Rosyth is in the running - that and about 10 other places, but I do love lower Fife!
YOU WILL NEED TO VISIT THE CARRON VALLEY DAM AND SURROUNDING AREA, I'M PRETTY SURE THAT IT WILL APPEAL TO YOURSELF GINGERMAN, IT'S NOT THAT FAR AWAY FROM DENNY.

There was never an assault course before the school got built 😂 who told you that?

My Mum grew up in Denny. I haven't been there for years so nice to see it again.
Welcome to Denny 👌

Dunipace Football Club is to the right of the Denny centre
