Lived here since I was a bairn. Its definately a typical ex-mining town, like so many others hasnt had any decent investment in it & been forgotten about. Theres alot of deprivation here but the community you cant get any better. Its been the folk in the community thats picked up the slack for lack of investment/funding. Church groups, rotary clubs, community groups etc.
@@GingerManWithACam really enjoyed this walk and I’ve never heard of this place… nice info too. Keep up the nice work! Expat in Brooklyn. I really miss seeing the lovely council houses and private ones too. 🏅
My father -in-law has lived in Methil for most of his life and like most mining towns its had the prosperity following by extreme poverty hence the need to preserve its heritage - I was in Buckhaven and Methil brass band in 2018 and they, like the football team are enjoying recent successes in competitions ... The most notable change just outside of Methil you didn't visit is Cameron Bridge railway station ( named after the distillery that you could smell ) and their walkway from upper Methil is complete I think or cetainly will be for your next visit
Oh wow, hope nobody was hurt in the crash. Makes my blood boil how ex industrial places have been treated. The Forth has played such a vital part in our national history, so I love you visiting Clacks and Fife, finding the wee places that most travellers don't go to. It's nice when High Streets are lived in, It looks like a nice place -no doubt has rough bits but most places do. That pub was a lovely building, I want to know the story of Tobaggon Road and Whyte Rose Street! Do they no have one of those stairway to the sky things in Dunfermline near the bus station?
Great video as always, and the artwork is stunning. I've got some happened memories from there. Thanks for this.
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you 😊

Well done
Born and bread in Methil until I moved to Dundee last year, it's truly a forgotten town compared to the rest of Fife and we deserved so much better,
Agree, I hope the new train link is a step towards more inwards investment in the area.
Thanks!
Thank you 😊

Sandwell Park is the home of darkened dressing rooms, not the ones at the Savoy.
