You'll love Caithness and Dunnet Head. You should do Duncansby Head too as you'll see the famous Stacks. Anyway, another great video, and rope swing to boot. You won't find may of them in Caithness! Thanks for this.

Mind that if you're going to go to the most northerly point on the mainland you'll have to go to Dunnet Head.

Another good video. Cape Wrath would be an adventure. Most westerly point in Scotland. Never been but I know it is very dramatic scenery. Anyhow have a great Christmas and a happy new year.

To the north of the village, next to the Kirk there is an ancient motte. In the graveyard again to the north viscount Horne chancellor of the exchequer has a grave monument. The Kirk itself has a long history. If you followed the culloch burn a wee bit further upstream you would have discovered the rumlie water fall, and an added bonus of the wooden burn. There are a few woodland walks around, also an ancient droving route from the Highlands to the market of Lanark. It is an right of way,but like many small villages the money moved in and unfortunately, took control of the land. You can find part of the route to the west ,and it is walkable.Where the yellow Lt van is was the RC chapel, next to it was the nursery. Where you had a swing used to be a water mill. The clock is actually a monument to the laird Ralston, who lost his son to some battle in South Africa. It's true the area was a mining village, just a word of caution there's many old pit shafts dotted around the area,so DO NOT go off the beaten track. There are a lot of wildlife around, the pine martens are making a comeback as well as the red squirrel. There as lot of history attached to the area....

Sorry for your loss, and I hope you don't mind this part appearing in the video. The bagpipes were beautiful and the church is stunning there. Thanks, I thought so, I seen it on the drone also when I was editing it back. Hope you have a good Christmas.

Not a great rating on SIMD but it looks nice enough. I'm glad you show us places that are off the beaten path. I've shared many of your videos. I find it interesting that you've not been to a burial or funeral before; at 36, that's saying a lot. I think I'd been to about six or seven before I reached 30. They can be celebrations as well as emotional; they can be send offs if you let them be.

Highland Spring water bottled at Blackford village near Gleneagles, or it was when I was working there 20 years ago?
