Was there that night. This totally kicked ass!! Edgar and his amazing band rocked the house!! Arcada Theatre is the best concert venue in the Midwest ... bar none. Thank you, Ron Onesti, for bringing such quality shows to the western suburbs of Chicago!!
Here I was, wondering why the drummer had an open bottle of water on one of his drums, and when it was going to spill. Finally, 10 minutes in, I realize it's part of the performance!
what a talent! Happy 70th, Edgar! I'm surely wishing you and your family to get through the Holidays rocking out for the fans and that's how your bro! would've wanted it! As in the words of your famous friend, Rick, keep on Rockin'! Saw Rock n Blues at the Grove of Anaheim with him, Pat Travers, and 10 Years! What a great show!
Man, that drummer has some "killer" chops. He is disciplined as he plays the tune, true to the original, but when Edgar lets him loose on the solo, he delivers!!!! And Edgar, with his vision fading due to his albinism still gets around the stage like the pro he is.
Christ on a crutch, who plays the sax like that anymore, and this song came out in 1973! The sax and synthesizer were featured over the guitar as the lead instruments. Unheard of!
When this song came out about 1973, there were no Keytars. He connected a keyboard to an ARP 2600 and strapped the keyboard around his neck. Thus he actually played one of the first keytars
My car's on fire! Yeah I was definitely just messing around cause I knew that really wasn’t Deji on bass but thank you! That’s rlly cool bass playing for real!

Ya' just GOTTA' love Edgar and his masterpiece FRANKENSTEIN!!!! Nothing beats it, even until this day.
I was at this concert. What a flashback to my younger days!
I remember when this song was released..speakers cranked all the way, and man he STILL got it
This song has one of the best keyboard riffs in the world. The drums (both) were incredible. Thanks for sharing.
My all time favorite!
Bad Ass, Edgar Winter puts on one hell of a show

One of the best instrumentals ever!!
Whoever mixed this was without a doubt a bassist. Chill out with the compression. Love Frankenstein
And at least put it in stereo, as well!
This is awesome, sorry I missed it.
Thanks for posting, Ron, you ROCK! :-)
That is 1 BAD ASS MUTHER ON DRUMS !!😝🤟

Good example of Jazz-rock fusion. EW ahead of his time. Few contemporaries can compare to him.

He does know about keytars right?
