WOW!!! Thank you Edgar AND everybody else for making me feel young again; I'm just glad that I lived my life on this beautiful planet of ours at the same time that these people, and May everybody live longer than me so I don't stop listening to this wonderful music. PEACE and greetings from Méjico!
MASSIVE TALENT! The highlight of my year to witness this. After this set I went and sat in the lobby (after buying the album) cause this was already the ultimate music orgasm..
Instead of taking a boring drum solo Greg started quoting classic drum parts at 7:48: We Will Rock You, Rock and Roll, Immigrant Song, Ticket to Ride, The End(Ringo solo), Come Together, Wipeout, Honky Tonk Women...Brilliant...
These guys are amazing. I saw them last year in the Canandaigua Arts Center. They have extraordinary energy for men of their age. Not to mention no end to the talent the display. Greg Bissonette is just awesome. It's very indicative of the personality of Ringo to get off the stage and let Bissonette have the limelight. These guys rock!
Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band one of two of my favorite all time concerts (from 1978 to 2023) other is Sir Elton John "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road". Ringo and Company Rock The House!!! A True ALL STARR BAND CONCERT no doubt.
Saw him in2008 Roanoke Virginia. One of the best shows ever. He was killer with the same voice like back in the day. sang arpeggios and pointed to his young guitarist to repeat each line. Dude earned his money!
Trivia: This great song got extra airplay for years on the radio, because some stations used it to close out an hour of airplay. They'd toss on Frankenstein to fill whatever time they had. It held up well to being faded-out whenever they needed to.
This song was CRANKED UP in every Stereo Store in the 70's. Once Upon A Time, they were marketing "Quadraphonic" Sound and it was always this song they used for the Demo. Great job by the Band..damn we're getting old, Lukather is all gray now.
I remember hearing this for it's first time being radio played at it's release back in the early 1970's. What year, I can't remember. One of a kind song you never forget. John 3:16
I wonder if Colin Hay ever thought he would be part of a band playing Frankenstein live. Or for that matter if Edgar Winter ever thought he would be onstage playing Who Can It Be Now?.
I was lucky enough to see Edgar & Johnny every time they rolled thru Memphis in the mid 70's. Blew my Mind how absolutely great they were....So glad Edgar is still playing And with Ringo and guys to top this party off. Fabulous ❤ 😊. Love you guys . Drums are killing it!! Greg you are fantasic...😊
Cruising downtown Las Vegas on Fremont Street every Friday and most Saturdays in a hopped up Ford Gran Torino GT, white with red pinstriping and intrerior, to Edgar Winter's Frankenstein!! Those were good times!
I remember when the song first came out the A/M radio stations played a very short version, about 3 minutes long maybe. It was that way on the 45. I didn't hear the long version till i bought the LP album.
Before "Frankenstein" hit, I had the Edgar Winter's White Trash album. It has a soulful solo piano tune called Dying To Live that shows another aspect of the man's talent. That being the 'Nam Era, it resonated among questioning hippies. He's still great
I remember watching him perform this on " the Midnight Special " it was the first time I had seen a keyboardist moving around on stage and playing a deut with the rest of the band. It was Awesome.
When this came out me and my mate requested it at our youth club disco 😀 everyone just looked at each other and left the floor while my mate and I were having a great time dancing to this weird and wonderful music. I have always loved this piece and I always will. Martians is also another great work by this genius. Great times. Bye the way 08:17 is Rush's YYZ intro by Neil Peart, nice one.
I was lucky enough to see Johnny , Edgar winter and Rick Derringer at the Northrup audtorum on the University of Minnesota. Opening act was Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. My hard rock day. It was the last rock concert at the venue for 30 years(45,000 in damage to the covered seats and the bathrooms. ) Concert was great
Wow, nice! Great double bill. I saw the Edgar Winter Group back in 1973, with Focus ("Hocus Pocus") opening. Those were the days when big name bands were always coming to town, and tickets were about $10. What a great era for music.
NO RED GELS! 😂we were honored to open for Edgar once at Mancini’s in the Rocks in 1984, and the manager was adamant about red gels on any spotlight. To this day I hear Edgar and remember that twerp yelling about red gels.😊
On May 19, 1973, after Secretariat and Ron T. won the Preakness, radio stations across the Nation announced Frankenstein as #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. To make it perfectly clear, the SuperHorse had a theme song which was never recognized. For the week of the Belmont Stakes when the new King was crowned, Frankenstein held fast in the #2 slot.
My first concert June twenty something 1974! RICK Derringer on guitar!!! Lol we missed the warmup act CANNED HEAT who filled in for ROBIN TROWER. Ya never forget your first!!! 2022 Went to see RINGO AND HIS ALL STAR BAND featuring Edgar Winter - who got Covid and couldn't show......
Wow, that was awesome to watch! I was fortunate enough to see Greg Bissonette play when he was with David Lee Roth back in 91. Great to see him still performing at a high level!! He can also play piano, not sure if thats a known fact or not? I witnessed him playing piano at a hotel lounge for a girl after that DLR show. All of these guys are just superb!!
Great stuff! Massive talent and passion on that stage. I always love Edgar's opening intro to the song: it hasn't changed in years and why change a good thing?
I remember seeing Edgar and Rick at the Johnny Winters Concert at Pirate’s World at Dania Beach, Florida when Johnny Winter and …..LIVE Concert was recorded for that album. What a great concert!!!
Lukather playing Frankenstein!
Great to see Edgar. I still remember 50 years ago, when the electrifying “Frankenstein” hit the charts, the No. 1 single here in Canada in June 1973.
The year i graduated, I remember the song very well
Do you remember Dan Hartman & Rick Derringer off the original EWG?
Ringo was backstage changing his depends.
Oh, I'm sorry, having his depends changed.
@@mikemiller659 me too 😁
Edgar Winter & drummer Greg Bissonette at their very best.....This was one of the huge highlights of this FABulous show!
Totally agree they were awesome as was the whole band
....Edgar Winter one of the more underappreciated SUPERSTARS....ever-----True showman
@@bshef3424 Absolutely!
At their best... Sorry for them
@@raymondkarlsson9794 Everyone on stage with Ringo has had a very successful recording & performing music career.
WOW!!! Thank you Edgar AND everybody else for making me feel young again; I'm just glad that I lived my life on this beautiful planet of ours at the same time that these people, and May everybody live longer than me so I don't stop listening to this wonderful music. PEACE and greetings from Méjico!
Saw Edger & Johnny at MRF near St. Louis in the 70 s
MASSIVE TALENT! The highlight of my year to witness this. After this set I went and sat in the lobby (after buying the album) cause this was already the ultimate music orgasm..
Ringo has left the building!
I saw Edgar Winter's White Trash at a festival in the Pocono Mountains in 1972. Great performance. One of the highlights of the event. Tobacco Road!

@@rogerjones6033 Wow, I missed that one.
Fk YT for putting an ad in the middle.
Edgar, it has been a long time since we saw each other, 1963. You still bring back those great memories… thanks ❤️
Amazing. I'm 62, watching edgar play Frankenstein, which I first heard in college in '79, and it was already 7 years old.
HE'S STILL JAMMIN' !!!!
Still rocking and I fugin love it 👊
Nice to see Edgar still rockin' it!! Great performance by all.
Bissonette is an absolute BEAST!
Just like fine wine...🎹
Thanks for sharing. Thanks Edgar Winter … for creating a unique song that people not even born yet … will enjoy in the future.
In my "humble, honest, unbiased" opinion,ONE OF THE GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL INSTRUMENTALS EVER!!!!!!
It was an amazing show by all these great musicians. My wife and I had a great time .
the talent on that stage is scary great. ringo only hires legends to play in his bands. all of his bands are a treat to watch live.
Used to be better though.
Why isn't Ringo on drums?
Thats how it's done. Aloha~~ from Hawaii~~ 🍍🤙🏽🤙🏽
At this very moment I am freaking out. What a barn-burner!
Edgar Winter is phenomenal! My favorite

Yezzir the vinyl copy I found long time ago was the non-gatefold "quadraphonic" with cool too-small-a-damn photo on the front cover heh heh
Edgar Winter You ARE great Legends in All the world thank You so much for your great Talent music forever 🎵🎹
One of those songs you don't have to say anything about it. The music says it all
I remember hearing this for it's first time being radio played at it's release back in the early 1970's. What year, I can't remember. One of a kind song you never forget. John 3:16
The All Star Band is a must see.....nothing else like it
I wonder if Colin Hay ever thought he would be part of a band playing Frankenstein live. Or for that matter if Edgar Winter ever thought he would be onstage playing Who Can It Be Now?.
all great musicians must be kindred spirits... can play and appreciate all types of music...
Thought the same question ... Looking at the lineup, you could ask that of everyone of these guys.
@@debmurray2734 Indeed! Not to mention playing them with Ringo!!
They were both in Ringo's All Starr Band in 2008, and both those songs were in the setlist, complete with Edgar on sax for Who Can It Be Now?.

Out freaking standing.

Fantastic and brings back so may happy memories from my early teens - Ringo - thank you so much.
Love love love Greg's drum solo.
He plays so many greats in one clean take. But to end off with Bonzo is a real show of respect.
Greg is a excellent drummer and Edgar is awesome so is steve love them all !😊😊
Gregg Bissonette - best guy to have at the second kit alongside of Ringo! Great to hear all these guys and excited to see them 11 days from now.
I accidentally came across this. Very impressed!
That drum solo was so enjoyable, how clever, just a little of everything put together perfectly!!🤩
EDGAR AND JOHNNY FROM BEAUMONT TEXAS
My father taught Edgar in high school. He had to get the books for him from the state because they had to have large print.
VERY COOL...
I remember when the song first came out the A/M radio stations played a very short version, about 3 minutes long maybe. It was that way on the 45. I didn't hear the long version till i bought the LP album.
Saw Edgar a few years ago at a Blues Fest and he was the highlight of the weekend.
This track NEVER disappoints!
neither do the other tracks on "They Only Come Out at Night" Just coincidence but played "Autum" and "Alto Mira" earlier today
As a drummer for 53 years, I can see some definate licks from Don Brewer. Solid.
Before "Frankenstein" hit, I had the Edgar Winter's White Trash album. It has a soulful solo piano tune called Dying To Live that shows another aspect of the man's talent. That being the 'Nam Era, it resonated among questioning hippies. He's still great
These guys especially the drummer having the of their life.
That was bloody good 👍👍👍
Edgar Looked and Sounded Great
Frikin Awesome!!!
This was amazing! Thank you so much for shooting this. Edgar Winter still kicking strong!
Just as awesome as the 1st time in 1973! Love these guys! Keep on rockin

That one looks like Steve Lukather
First album I every bought, They Only Come Out at Night
Now that's a musician
I've heard this song a gazillion times and never knew its name was “Frankenstein”😂🤷♂️.
Yeah it was on his "They Only Come Out At Night" album
They called it that because the original master had a ton of edits and splices from multiple takes.
EW…… one of my first Vinyl records…. Top!
Me and my son met Greg after a Steve Via gig about 15 years ago. WICKED Cool guy !!! Nice as they get !!
This one never gets old . Thanks❕

I saw all, or most of these guys on Ringo's 2018 tour. Sadly,, Edgar wasn't there. I did see him perform in 1999 and 2018, however.
Great stuff! Massive talent and passion on that stage. I always love Edgar's opening intro to the song: it hasn't changed in years and why change a good thing?
Edgar looks healthier now than Johnny did 40 years ago. Happy for him.
