- I went to Mariposa Military Base to do some housecleaning before preaching at the Cathedral. Lieutenant went quite chatty and later found himself dying horribly!

Thats what makes the first Fallout so good. Only character you can't really talk with is the Master.

@@Lexbomb6464 I mean you can talk with him, but if you use the "Ask about" option. He'll either tell you that he is the Master and doesn't have to answer to you or that he isnt there to answer your questions but that you are there to answer his.
He wants the guards to aggressively capture you... Right after displaying a thorough answer after being questioned on the Forced Evo Virus
Ironic, a painful and excruciating death for someone who boasts about people dying that way
The lieutenant is one of, if not the only one, the most successful Super Mutant that was created with not only increased strength and endurance but also intelligence as well.
Marcus is quite a good example too.
Every human who was more intelligent than the most was a prime example for them
Many first-generation mutants were intelligent, they were made from people who had no exposure to wasteland radiation, or so little that it hadn't taken root in their DNA. They are effectively pure-strain, and it's almost impossible to make them any longer.

Tony Jay was a master voice actor
It's very grotesque seeing the top off his scalp all flaked off to the skull; Supermutants in later entries are always described as hideous and horrible but they all just resemble large masculine people with hardly any variation with exception to Marcus.
Epic death scene, they must have brainstormed how to "maximize satisfaction watching this" during the development of this scene.

0:38 this made me widen my eyes a bit.
The expression and attitude he made about how the horrifying transition of humans in the vats and how painful it is made me realize that he does know that it’s genuinely an awful thing, but he gives himself the image of a future where mutants, live in peaceful harmony, so lou continues to believe that the sacrifices made are for a better future in his mind.
He also does mention the sterilization problem but if you talk to the Master, there's an option where the Master calls him about it and the Lieutenant lies to him saying that it's a rumor
You got a lot out of a little mouth animation after he spoke
I find it funny that he says "Guards, capture him" after I killed every living thing in that floor

when i was traveling to the Mariposa military base, i (obviously) found mutants while going there. when i got hit by a mutant in the fight, the panel thing on the bottom said: "You were hit in the groin for 11 hit points, making you cringe." LOL XD
Hmm, I wonder what happens if you ask him about Richard Gray? Gonna try that next time I play through.

He likely only knows the Master as the Master. I doubt the Master (Richard Gray) cared about divulging his life to the mutants.

He's such a successful Super Mutant, it makes you wonder where the Lieutenant came from and who he was before he was dipped.
I've read somewhere that he was a college professor before the war.
Nice to know that Kresselack "The Black Wolf" from Icewind Dale made it to the world of Fallout as a Mutant LOL

Good thing I made a save, before and after this fight. Now I can get more information to further dialog choices with the Master. I keep forgetting there are keywords you can type in to ask questions towards NPC. That animation death though!
Sucks that you have to be captured in Necropolis to actually have a proper talk with Lou. I quite liked his conversation but by the time i'd like to talk to him Harry is rotting.

Wish you showcased the more extensive interaction you can have with him when he captures you, but this works too, I guess.

Plasma caster is quite literally melting him so he's just trying to heal himself before it kills him

Why the heck did he blow up like that??
So basically what happened was, Lieutenant's mutation made his muscles develop super fast, so he basically had to install augments or something to prevent the muscle growth from destroying his body. When he gets "killed" his augments get destroyed, he then dies in excruciating pain as his muscles grow, breaking his bones and bursting his flesh until he lays on the floor dead.

One thing i notice, super mutants - FEV is nearly identical with the borg. The only difference is, super mutants dont have hive minds like the borg.

That's Tony Jay. Joshua Graham was voiced by Keith Szrabajka.
How can you talk with him?
When I escaped from the cell, and aproach him, he instantly wants to fight me.
If you are in the cell that means you previously talked with him already and in the next encounter instead of talking he will just shoot you.

Not according to Bethesda it isnt. Thats all they see Super Mutants as: an inexhaustable green horde of "iconic enemies".
New Vegas treatment of mutants (as well as the Brotherhood of Steel) was absolutely perfect. They are both tired old pariahs from the early beginnings of the Wasteland. They have been moved aside replaced by newer, different threats.
How did you get the turbo plasma rifle down to 3 AP without taking fast shot

his whole fucking body falls apart after that tube in his head blows off. Wtf was keeping him alive??
it is caused by the malfunction of his cybernetic implants. His metal armor and implants act as life support as well. After he dies, the head implant breaks, triggering his stomach and knees to blow up from the inside and his arms to slowly melt away.
I don't like the current fallout. It's like counter strike now.
How is it anything like counterstrike
It's more of a generic shooter
Well like it or not it sells. People very much prefer 1st person shooter to isometric turn based game.

@@jmcantila9104 Yet it still sold more copies than two classic Fallout combined, and probably will sell better than any possible isometric version of Fallout series. Sorry mate that's what people prefer.
